The first thing that I learned about Bayonetta was her Wicked Weave ability and how her hair associates with both her attacks and her clothing. That was incredibly interesting to know and I immediately had to look up a playthrough, the rest is history. The sequel's announcement, the great Wii U port of 1 and the absolute beauty that is 2, her smash reveal, the switch ports, 3, literally everything I learn more about this series I grow to love more and more. I am beyond happy Nintendo has kept this series alive as long as it has because it otherwise likely would've fallen to the wayside as a hidden gem.

Damn, Perfect way to start my weekend. Bayonetta will always be my go to. Crazy as hell over the lore and would absolutely go nerdgasm crazy if there was a crossover game with her and Devil May Cry. Word is the 3rd game may be the last and if that's the case I'd Love a new trilogy game where you could play a Lumen instead, just to keep the lore going. Funfact: Bayonetta and Dante are one degree/person of separation away from each other. That person is enzo, so one is atleast is aware of the other. Rodin undoubtedly knows about Dante as well since dante more than likely has stopped at his bar at one point or another.

The reason why I love Bayonetta? The short answer is: because it's pure unapologetic fun. The long answer? Because this is a series of game that feels made to stand the test of time. It feels good to play, it doesn't take itself so seriously, it has blood-pumping high energy scenes full of action as well as quiet, character-driven scenes that make the characters memorable. Its not the best written game, but it doesn't need to and doesn't even want to. The game wants you to have fun with it, no matter how. This is one of the first games I tried to play when I tried to expand my horizon beyond Nintendo, and man, it was a revelation (get it? Revelation, like in the Bible? Eh? Eh ? Okay, I'll stop). The point is: Bayonetta embodies everything I love about Videogames, and this is why I love Bayonetta.

Imagine trying to expand your gaming horizons beyond Nintendo, to later find out Bayonetta became (Technically) a Nintendo IP. Just thinking about it is funny.

@ I will just say she is a Nintendo IP at this point, considering Nintendo has done so much more for getting the character exposure than Sega ever did. Sega was ready to bury the series when the first games sales weren't Call of Duty level millions after they barely advertised it at all. Nintendo put her in Smash, one of the single best advertisements a character can get these days, and even (according to an interview with the Bayonetta 2 director) kind of chewed Platinum out over how tame the first bunch of Nintendo themed costumes for her (Link, Samus, Fox) were, and that's why the Princess Peach costume got so hypersexualized in comparison. Nintendo's been trying to fight against the "only for kids" image they made for themselves back in the day, and I fully think they intend Bayonetta to be their M-rated mascot.

I love the Bayonetta series for a bunch of reasons. 1. It’s simply Bayonetta. 2. She’s hot & she knows it. 3. Everything has a meaning in the game, even her favorite candy to her outfit, it’s marvelous. 4. Everything in the Bayonetta series it’s beautifully balanced, the lore, the cutscenes, the action, the sexiness, absolutely everything & it gets even better every time. These games are ageless in my opinion, it never gets old. It’s an over the top game that knows it & just goes wild with it without fear, these series will always have a special place in my heart. Now a tip for you: start saving & hoarding you sonic rings(999,999) you will need it for a special item that’s called a Platinum ticket, I’m not gonna spoil it but it will be a blast and we’ll worth it. Ps. I fell in love with the bayonetta franchise because of the sheer passion it provokes. The game and the character actually made me feel very confident in myself and really helped me come into my identity. Yeah, that's about the reaction I imagine most people have when they encounter the very first Joy. I absolutely love it. These playthroughs are seriously making me want to play Bayonetta 2 again. I still haven't finished getting Platinum on every chapter on Normal, finishing Hard mode, or playing through with Jeanne. There's a ton for me to still do in that game and I'm not even trying to 100% it, now that I think about it.

I love Bayonetta for so many reasons. She is the first and only person I've "mained" in Super Smash Bros. From the, I played as her in her actual game and the more I played and found out about her, the more I loved her games and character. I found out that SEGA refused to let Bayonetta wear her glasses, to which PlatinumGames said "no" and started a small war with SEGA to keep the glasses, and when SEGA finally accepted, they decided to throw some form of eyewear onto every main character in the game. I also find these games to have some of the best voice acting talent, written lines and some of the most satisfying gameplay I have ever experienced and the trailers for Bayonetta 3 have made me love these games even more; I don't think she could ever go stale.

Bayonetta was first introduced to me when she was released in smash 4. i was 8 years old and ever since then I was sold as the ultimate bayonetta fan. I remember playing the demo for hours and hours because i couldnt play the actual game because my nana wouldn't buy it for me. She was just everything i wanted in a character. I was always drawn to female characters as a child for no real reason besides the fact that i loved long hair, still do, and since bayonetta's attacks are based around her hair i loved her for that. She is really hot and even an 8 year old could tell if they've been around enough hot women. the dialogue in game is absolutely amazing and made me laugh then and still does now. I'd watch videos on bayonetta, I'd look at pictures of bayonetta, i'd imagine what it was going to be liek to play bayonetta, and a couple years later i had my switch and 50 dollars so i bought bayonetta 2. Bayonetta has always been a favorite of mine because of the gameplay, music, and the characters themselves are well developed and you get to know their personality pretty quick off the draw. The torture attacks are so fun to pull off and get max bonus, and I love how they are so different depending on what angel you fight. I’ve always loved Bayonetta’s badass nature being a gunslinging witch and her witty nature is just a staple to her character. Also the music? The cover of “Fly Me to the Moon” being done in such a fitting way that it feels almost like an original is unreal. The gameplay is just so addicting because you get to beat the living crap out of angels as the main combat and its so fun. Rodin and Enzo are so memorable to me, and I don’t care if people don’t like Enzo, he’s probably my favorite secondary character just because of his over-the-top New York Italian-American accent and kind of like a comedic relief character, like when Bayo was fighting the angels at the gravesite and Enzo running around in fear.

I remember my reaction to the Joy fight! I was absolutely mortified, lol! The reason I love Bayonetta is for several reasons... The first is the character designs, my favourite being her contracted Demon, Madama Butterfly. The struggle she goes through during the first game and the bonds she forges with her "little one" brought me to tears. I don't get to live with my parents anymore and that's something I always struggled with. So seeing Bayonetta lose her mother and fight her corrupted father really hit home with me. I'm beyond looking forward to Bayonetta 3 and how the story continues! I hope to see more demons too and some old ones! I love Phantasmaraneae (The Fire Spider)! I fell in love with Bayonetta because of the tongue in cheek fun attitude of the writing paired with the super fun combat. I played both games alongside my brother and we both had a blast watching each other beat tough bosses and laugh at the over the top set pieces. My love for Bayo lead me to play and fall in love with the Devil May Cry series as well as Platinum's other great games like Transformers Devastation, Astral Chain, Wonderful 101, Vanquish, Metal Gear Rising, and soon I'll start up Nier Automata! I really enjoyed you picking up the enemies weapons and use those weapons against them. People dont originally do that for some reason. Please keep doing that and it really fun to watch. ^~^

The claws rock. The charge attack with them creates a huge explosion that gives you a ton of points if you can hit 2 or more enemies with it at the same time. Great for going for Plat ranks. spinning the stick and pressing P or K with the claws on the hands or feet respectively will also change their element from lightning to fire and back again. Some enemies have lightning or fire attacks and using the corresponding claw element actually makes you immune to that damage. If you remember that one level with the burning enemies you couldnt hit without bullets or witch time? The fire claws can kill them without you taking damage. Also, when you hold a button to shoot or charge, you don't have to reset your combo. You can keep pressing it after holding and get the rest of your attacks.

I love how complex the combat system is, where you don't only have to make combos, but also you have to try to systematicaly dodge on the last moment to be able to land more combos eficiently. Also Bayo's personality is a plus...

Bayonetta is such an amazing saga. I remember thinking “what a strange videogame” when they first gifted it to me, but I fell in love with literally everything. The story building over the course of two (soon three) games, the lore of angels and demons, the characters’ style and personality..and the soundtrack and battle! So I’m really enjoying watching your reactions to this game because it means the world to me to see other people enjoying such a masterpiece. Been watching some of your videos for a while, I am sure I’ll stay here for more upcoming content.

The reason I love Bayonetta is because she helped me embrace a side of me I was scared to display in my own life, playing through the games made me feel a sense of empowerment and just damn good fun to do what you want, do it unapologetically and of course with style. Bayo is an absolute QUEEN & by far one of my favorite video game characters. The games have become by far my favorite video game series and I always go back to replaying 1 & 2 MANY times. The music, the combat & just the sheer nuttiness of the storyline and the events that happen always make it a fun ride. I'm so happy to have discovered this game series back in 2015 & absolutely CANNOT wait for Bayonetta 3!

Even since my last comment my love for Bayonetta has been even further revitalized. Your playthrough has convinced me try and learn the speedrun and it’s been such a fun challenge! I love Bayonetta for the intense music, the constant action, and the plot that came up and surprised me when everyone told me it wasn’t a plot based game. the reason why i love Bayonetta is because of her confidence, she owns her sexiness and sassiness. the game also helped me when i was at the lowest point in my life because of the pandemic, i purchased the first game when it was on sale and it blew me away, when i first played it i was always smiling and snapping my fingers yelling "okay girl yaas queen pop off" i was so happy i wish i could erase my memories just so i can experience it again. i always come back to her whenever i'm feeling down and the excitement is still there.

The badassery, the gameplay mechanics, the way the visuals are presented, the design, EVERYTHING. And the fact it involves Angels and Demons? The lore is amazing. I love Bayonetta because she is just a gem. Like how she can just control every situation and make sure that she’s untouchable. The gameplay of Bayonetta is awesome and really such a treat to play. Her voice and style are so up my ally that she is just such a caring person.

What I absolutely LOVE about the Bayonetta franchise is that you never know what’s coming next and somehow Platinum Games always outdo themselves with every chapter, that’s more intense and climactic than the one before it. These are hands down the most fast paced and enjoyable action games I have ever played. … also how cool is it that with it feels like you get to play a “new” character in every entry because of Bayonetta’s changing fashion and still you recognise her because of her wit and sassyness

Bayonetta2 is my 1st ever cartridge game on my first ever gaming console which is the switch. Bought it as a birthday gift to myself at 27. Bayonetta got me hooked to gaming itself again since I was a child playing on arcades. Bayonetta holds a space in my gaming heart. I totally agree to crave the feeling of experiencing an awesome game for the first time. I am grateful to have played many games now that I am older that I understand the lore and story of the games I play. nothing compares to that. I love Bayonetta for a few reasons. -First of all like you Dee I kind of ignored this series for a long time, but after my brother got really into the DMC series (which I watched him play through) I heard this was a similar kind of game so I picked it up because I thought it would be really fun to have my own DMC style journey and I was not disappointed in the slightest. -Second I love the characters they are all so fun and engaging, I especially love Rodin and Enzo. -Third the story is a really fun ride beginning to end (even without all the lusty bits). The cutscenes alone are amazing just watching the badassery on display is so ridiculously enjoyable it just gets you pumped for more.

It was one of my first hack and slash style games, I had never played anything like it, the music and the characters had me hooked and the story was incredibly well written. Bayonetta has a special place in my gaming journey and is my favorite hack and slash game today because of it, oh and the sequel was almost just as good as the first one.

I'd so love to see what they bring in the next title, since the first two games were so unique and how they simply continue to evolve the series without taking anything away that made their respective titles so fun. The reason(s) i love Bayonetta.. there's a lot. I've been following the franchise since bayo 2 and now i come to a point where i wish i could be like Bayo! She's not afraid of anything, not ashamed in a single way of herself, an independent woman creating quotes every time she speaks; when listening to the OST of the games i can imagine myself with her personnality and i feel very cool 🙂 i believe she can be a model for people.

Bayonetta not only successfully managed to become one of my favorite games to simply play, but became much more than just a game to me. From her unique and spectacular character design to the one of a kind story that is told within the gameplay, it is inevitable that there is much more to Bayonetta than a videogame. From the moment I saw the cover of the game I was in complete Aw, it was the exact game I could possibly ever dreamt of. Everytime I play as if it was my first time, how could I not when the game never fails to wow me. Bayonetta is a treasure and I'm glad I found it!!

I had a absolute ball watching your playthrough the reason I love Bayonetta as a game series is it focuses on the players to have as much fun as you want and allows you to to enjoy the story, gameplay, music and cutscenes as you choose to do with little restrictions and when I played Bayonetta earlier this year for the first time I just got hooked to play more replays and love improving my gameplay though each playthrough. Plus Bayonetta is the one of the best and my favourite characters in gaming.

Why do I love Bayo? How could anyone not? The games have such an unapologetic over the top playstyle coupled with one of the baddest Witches anybody could come up with conceptually- all to an amazing soundtrack. The weaving of the story with real world Biblical angel designs and highlighted by beautiful stylization is absolutely top notch! I love everything about the Bayonetta series because it’s not only so different from other games of it’s genre, but it also has so many unique things about it that make it stand out. It helps that anyone can tell the developers put a lot of effort into these games to make such a satisfying experience that anyone (that’s able to at least) can enjoy. Combining very well-made gameplay with an equally well-made world of lore and history that’s surprisingly well-developed make this series like one to behold. Usually franchises that have their own world of unique fantastical things are the ones that become popular and later famous, and in the realm of video games, Bayonetta is no exception. Add all the revolutions it made with the release of the first game (like Bayonetta being a [literally] strong and powerful female protagonist) with the only game company that saw it’s potential in becoming a series and saving it by letting it get a sequel (you know, a company mainly focused on family-friendly games and being appealing to kids) and you have one of few ridiculous and unbelievable things in this world but is actually true. Like, Nintendo wanted Bayonetta’s Link costume to be more revealing because IT WAS OUT OF CHARACTER for her. NINTENDO said that. Just take that in. Anyway, that’s the main reasons for why I love Bayonetta.

I literally could go on and on all day about why I love Bayonetta. Her series, the music, the play style, and just her personality is just everything to me and it's also inspiring to me in a way because she's influenced me to be more confident in myself and it's worked! I love Bayonetta because of how... Jazzy it is, for the lack of a better word. There's an ambiance that's quite screaming "Golden Era of Music" with Enzo for example. Or just the fact that it uses a remix of Fly me to the Moon. That aesthetic is SOOOOO pleasing.
