Curiosity. The introduction of Silver freezing the Sun Village is a reference to Rave Master, where one of the final villains, a Demon King, does the same. The funny thing is that Silver froze the village because he thought Atlas Flame was a demon and in Rave Master it's a demon that causes it.

It's very likely that Devil Slayers have secret arts, but it's likely they were lost to time and Gray would have to learn it like Laxus did with his lightning dragon slayer magic and develop or figure out these techniques on his own.

A detail I noticed about devil slayer is that the names and it's flaw are really based on anything that involves negativity. Ice devil's *rage* : A persons anger Ice devil's *laughter* : A sinister laugh Ice devil's zeroith *destruction* blow/bow: a persons desire to attack or kill someone(Whom makes it the later very fitting to finish Invel after what he did to Juvia). Game only but Ice devil's *resentment* : A person's hatred To finally them going *berserk* : You impulsively doing crazy to vile things that can hurt people. It really makes sense as having devil in the name and in theology with most stories around media, devils are presented as evil beings. Quite badass of Mash to do that.

One thing I'd like to pint out is that with the other slayer magics it's the users original and primary magic but with demon/devil slayer magic it comes to Gray as a supplement o his ice maker magic

If that was the case then only Lyon's sister should be classified as a true god slayer considering that during the Alvarez Empire Arc she is the only one who uses her sky god slayer magic to defeat a "god" (in this case would be Dimaria since she uses her time god soul takeover magic since the takeover grant her the power of the time god) although with a big caveat in that she use the power that was meant for her in the future, that's why she lost her god slayer magic. I say lost her god slayer magic because at the end of Alvarez Empire Arc it's revealed that she could still use magic, albeit elemental magic (possibly wind/sky magic) not the god-slayer magic, indicating that perhaps in the future she could regain her god slayer magic if she learned it again from scratch.

@@incarnation_of_immortality3422 I think what she lost is her god slayer technique not her magic and for god slayer in particular is probably easier to get back her god slayer technique since all she needs is to find the right book, which would probably in the hands of the Magic Council as for now as opposed to other slayer type magic like dragon slayer which you need to learn it directly from a dragon, or find a lacrima containing dragon slayer magic, or feast on a dragon meat to consume it's power, as for devil slayer it's still shaky in the terms that while it's possible to relearn it again after you lost it, where to find it will be very difficult since nobody knew where the book or grimoire containing devil slayer technique currently resides

I rly hope that Gray gets to shine in the fight against Ignias guild. Imagine Gray being able to freeze Ignia!!! Like he's remembering that his dad used to freeze the dragon Atlas and then obtains the power to do the same to Ignia. I feel like Natsu isn't able to beat Ignia on his own but with Gray's help, they could defeat him

I think Gray should fight one of the other fire guild members of Ignia's guild; a powerful one, to make Gray get a proper fight. But I personally thoroughly enjoy Natsu's family fights. It's always a deep, personal, full of passion, and emotional battle. Having Gray freeze Ignia would be too out of nowhere and so forced for no reason. And it would negate the personal conflict of Natsu and Igina settling their differences about Igneel. A lot of fairy tail's storyline has been Natsu's family and it's still going on in 100yq quest. There's more to Ignia's character about his past with Igneel, at least I hope. And it would another Dragneel FT highpoint if they were to settle it brother to brother, like Natsu and Zeref did. But that's just me. I do agree that Gray's character needs some more attention.

My friend Alex and me made a theory about the origin of the Devil Slayers connecting to Dead Rock. In Dead Rock the Graduate Demons became Demon Kings and have a kingdom in the human world. In this theory the Human world of Dead rock is Earthland in the past maybe X200 before the Dragons war, the wizards of Earthland created the Devil Slayers magic for defeated the Demon kings from Dead rock

There's only one demon who I know that is possessing Gray when use his curse and that demon is Keyes and keep in mind he's the who bring back silver from the dead and received his curse when he was resurrected by Keyes which means Gary is being controlled by him every time he overuse it or let it stay on him longer

Bro I just hate how fairy tail be doing him dirty. His magic is part curse/magic, just cause the enemy he's fighting isn't a demon. Doesn't mean bro should be irrelevant. Look at natsu and the other dragon slayers most of the foes they fought are non dragons. But they all seems to be able to hold their enemies off or even defeat them. Gray on the other hand seems to get trashed since he doesn't use his devil slaying magic as much and even when he uses it underwhelming. Some plot armor bs. They be showcasing Lucy celestial powers with more effort. Gray just can't catch a break that wasn't against the demon gates.

Thought it was just me who thought in the 100 yr quest that Gray was getting overshadowed in basically every fight in the quest while the other characters gain a new feat each time. Like at least have Gray have a new mode that comes with the devil slayer magic or show how he has evolved his maker magic, like a whole functioning ship was made by maker magic and Gray cant even make a vehicle.

The least they could show is Gray eating ice to get stronger but even that's only suggested since he's never actually done it. He's doesn't feel like a main character in the 100yq anymore. They might as well replace him with Suzaku or Laxus instead of turning his character into a disappointment.

I hope erza obtained some slayer magic cause she is the only one that dont have power up natsu have end power up gray got tye devil/demon slayer and lucy got usr multiple and can wear the celestial spiritt

The issue is that Erza is already top tier. She’s already stomping both Gray and Natsu so her getting a slayer boost just defeats the dynamic. Lucy needed - despite a sorta bad one - because she was basically relying on just her spirits like a pokemon trainer. She had her whip for Ash thinking plans or low level grunts but. That was it. Natsu gets a billion because well. He’s essentially the pseudo shounen hero that fights the big bad bosses. Gray gets one because even though he doesn’t typically fight the bosses he’s considered Natsu’s rival and he hasn’t ever gotten a single boost. At all. 😂 But Erza is already leagues above all three of them. It’s like thinking Gildarts needs another power up. Unlike most shounen, the scaling in Fairy Tail sorta doesn’t change in the protagonists group that much. They’re just scaled to the current threat. All of them. Despite how everyone said Natsu will surpass them,…. He probably won’t ever because it ruins the dynamic. This is solely why Natsu is never allowed to willingly use Dragon Force like Wendy can. Wendy needed to to “be on the same scaling level” as everyone else but it also means she’s still weaker than Natsu for.

And I say that because Erza getting a power up would just dramatically change the gap of power Mashima is comfortable with. She’s leagues above Natsu but still isnt quite on Laxus’s level. Giving her a power up would just make her light years beyond Natsu and beyond Laxus. Gildarts is an exception sorta because he’s basically used to show how much stronger Natsu gets.

ATM there doesn’t seem to be a precedent that states otherwise People on the fairy tail verse can learn many different types of spells and magic so it’s not out of the question. But I think it’s come down to the two powers not meshing and rejecting each other as a combo and that could lead to sever side effects At least that’s what I think maybe it’ll be a topic for a future vide

There’s probably a reason and it’s the same reason why Natsu gained lightning dragon slaying magic to fuse and not Zancrow’s god slaying. It could be that only magic of the same slayer type can fuse. Such as iron shadow. White shadow. Fire lightning. Unfortunately the three only shown god slayers have no interaction and there’s only one devil slayer.

There’s actually a theory that curses, magic, and alchemy are fragments of the “one true magic” mentioned in the earlier part of the show. As for advantage. I would assume while he would have an easier time it’s akin to dragon slayers vs dragons, there’s a gap in power much like Chelia vs Dimaria. She only defeated her because Ultear unlocked her third origin which dramatically boosted her god slaying powers. But it is still an advantage. As for track record. Mashima will never let a dragon slayer slay a dragon 😂 he could have had them - somehow - go dragon force and have a better showing at the gmg invasion but he didn’t because it probably would’ve debunked the idea of banding together.

Just watched all 3 videos about slayer magic and this was my conclusion incase anyone cares, cause this one might be long 😂. Hear me out, as our theories are some what similar, like you said in the God Slayer (GS) video, I believe Zeref created that magic to kill him but or who cursed him but it was a failure thus it becoming lost. Fast foward to Zeref just again isolating, and creating demons to one day hopefully kill him, fast foward to the Dragon period, now we have Dragon Slaying Magic (DS), maybe an old Scholar tried GS but it didn't work against the dragons but it was a good match against another DS user since they can't eat the GS element cause it's "devine", prevents them from combining elemental attacks like Natsu did with Laxus. Dragons are gone, fast forward to around the time Mirajane is a child give or take, still demons being demons, with GS being lost and DS being limited and while they may damage the demons they can't really kill them, now my theory is, this is when Demon Slayer Magic comes to play, yes Demon Slayer Magic like GS Magic is lost, I only used the Mirajane example to give you something to grasp, but we can easily go further back, remember atleast in my theory GS Magic came first, then the demons, what ever was happening with the demons wasn't as big as a problem as the Dragons, so while the main focus was the dragons we can see on the side those not in the war, the commoners, they are dealing with demons, is my belief that during this period give or take Demon Slayer Magic was created by combining DS and GS Magic. Hear me out, Demon Slayers can't kill dragons but it can hurt them, thats a buff for GS, nerf for DS, Demon Slayer Magic cant be eaten by DS, same as GS, but unlike DS if it's a different element they can combine it (Natsu), and also just like DS you lose yourself the more you use it, but you can kinda turn it on and off and combine it with magic you already know, with no dragons to keep DS from transforming no dragons left and the only DS are already not gonna transform learning DS is risky if yall want to count 4thgen, which btw 5thgen should be 2ndgen, I refuse to belive nobody ate dragons during the dragon war. Not all dragons are relative to each other. Atlas flame is one of the weaker ones. Keep in mind irene got bested by erza/wendy and she is by default weaker than august. Overall just how dragon slayers can beat demons the opposite can also apply but it jist depends on mashimas will.
