In the Book of Job, the Devil went down to Edom, he was looking for a soul to steal...from God. Often cited as a story of God's cruelty and indifference, Job is, in reality, far more complex than that. Possibly a compilation of an old Jewish story and later Greek influenced philosophical dialogue, the book details the trials of the most righteous man of the day, the wealthy and successful Job. Satan is invited to tempt God's greatest servant, only to fail in breaking his faith. Aidan and Isaiah go deep into how this story of loss is really the story of salvation and growth in character.

As someone who really only had negative experience with the church, it’s nice to be able to watch this and sate my curiosity, I may not be a “Christian” but I do know the message of the Bible is a beautiful one and not just one people should throw away cause of the past. Thank you guys, for making studying the Bible a positive thing again.

a little over year ago i became so on fire for God, digging deeper into the bible and spent as much time as i could praying and talking with God but i was told by my mentor there would come troubles by getting closer with God. it sounded so silly to me and i would foolishly say “the devil himself couldn’t separate me from God.” i would pray for the strength of Job but a day came where an old..acquaintance came along and she knew my weaknesses, well any man’s true weakness, better than anyone else and she was a slippery slope i couldn’t avoid. it was almost like all of the fire in my heart was put out over a weeks time and i just, well, threw in the towel. it’s crazy how strong Job was in his faith. even i, knowing that i cannot comprehend the true powers of God but do know it is real, find myself struggling to even show my face to God out of shame and embarrassment, which i’m beginning to realize more and more lately is that it’s really pride i’m dealing with. working on my relationship with God again and i cannot help but to look towards Job as an example of true faith, it’s truly amazing. you guys have good chemistry and it made this completely enjoyable and i’m just halfway through it. about that song by Reliant K - Getting Into You, reminded me of when my mentor told me getting closer with God would bring troubles (temptations and such). i would’ve never believed how truly difficult vices and old habits could be to ignore or how much more in my face, apparent, they would become, the more i strengthened my relationship with God. its a beautiful song and reminds me of a song by Exiting the Fall - Father. God be with you both.

So the entire Jobs wife thing, I’ve always thought of it that she’s a grieving mother who lashed out because of the pain of the loss of her kids. Not saying it’s right, but it makes me a little more sympathetic to her

These podcasts are really important by the way. From both of you, for Christians to be able to see genuinely faithful God fearing men openly discussing their faith while being as visible as you are means a lot and God is most certainly working through you both.

Honestly feel like I've been getting more prayers answered than I deserve recently. Like it's small stuff like "I want to see more dogs today" or "I want to see my little sister." I feel far more blessed than I deserve. I know it's tiny stuff but I can't help but get slightly teary-eyed. It was a hard time last year and I can't help but be thankful for these tiny prayers answered. I know it's off topic but I wanted to thank you guys for pushing me that slightest bit to pray and talk with God. I know he doesn't talk physically but it's the best way to describe how I pray.

I had a similar experience as Wendigoon. The night my grandfather died I had a dream he came to me and it was hyper realistic and a very rewarding/fulfilling experience to say the least. His main message to me was "don't worry this is all part of it."

This is so important to me, especially because I'm not a Christian. I have a friend who kinda shits on organized religion but especially Christianity. Now, it's usually when there's news of children being abused by priests and stuff, so I get it. But it's discuaging to listen to someone condense everything down to the actions of the few.

As a very naughty young man who has just made it back to faith, it's calming and inspiring to hear two intelligent young men talk about their own experiences. Thank you.
