Hey, if you do go back to the Amber Tuccaro case and need a hand with anything, I’m relatively local to the area and would be willing to give you any information I can and or check anything out for you guys, please keeps spreading the message. And if you want to know just how terrible the rcmp are, look up rcmp starlight tours. Most sources will say it’s not much of a thing anymore but I have heard anecdotal evidence that says otherwise.

Hi Aidan, I want to apologise for being very unfair to you previously. I wrote a fairly scathing comment about you on your Timcast (maybe culture war) appearance, which you responded to. I took your response on board and have since been going through your shows including this one. I was wrong in my criticism of you regarding Dave Paulides, and wanted to correct the record at least with you. You are a “real” researcher, and I think you deserve credit for that, thanks for setting me straight, your new fan, Ben.

Even the most attentive people get what others say wrong, sometimes colored by their own expectations. This appears to be caught more in professions where people are expected to listen (reports, doctors, cops, etc) because it's expected for the professional to be better at listening. Also, the stakes can be higher. (edit: is it a cult or a multi level marketing scheme)

51:15 He's confusing "macerate" and "masticate". The have similar meanings, but the latter includes the method used to create said "soup". To macerate is to essentially shred organic material. Typically used with foliage. A macerator is an ancillary vehicle powered by the PTO shaft on large farm equipment that is used to "chew up" (I used that adverb for a reason) shrubbery and small trees. To masticate is to chew.

But ya, I can see how he wouldm't realize he's lost.

Interesting. One of my nephews is autistic (and something else I never remember). When he was young, he would get so distracted if something interested him, he would forget to eat or drink. He also "lost time" for up to 15 hrs. He often slept for a few hours during this, but he stayed where he was and immediately went on with what he was doing when he woke. If you've ever seen puppies "crash sleep'" for 5-10 minutes while playing, it was like that. So, if someone like that loved the outdoors and were in an area with new plants, animals, geologic forms, etc., maybe it could last for up to 2 days???

From what I learned in Behind the Bastards podcasts we can actually blame a specific German weapon manufacturer (Krupp), because plenty if people had been killed like Franz but Krupp had armed every nation with the first modern weapons and everyone was antsy to use them. If Krupp didn't arm everyone there likely wouldn't have been a war

I'm going to throw this out there because I am a surveyor and have been in the field for almost 20 years. It'll be 20 years October 3rd actually. He got chased by bees. Doesn't explain where he wound up but it does explain, to me, a hundred percent how he disappeared so quickly. He was probably wearing his boots loosely, got swarmed by bees or wasps or more likely bumble bees as they will chase you and far. He got scared/stung and ran like hell through/over the fence and just kept going. You'd think, how did no one hear or see this happen? 50 feet away isn't far but you can't take his word for how long the time was between seeing him, looking away and looking back to see him gone. I've lost guys under my charge a hundred feet away in seconds because I was more hyper focused on the task. Seconds to me was probably 5 minutes. It all happens so fast. Depending on which way he ran that makes a difference too. Running into the sun, less likely to be seen. Run into the woods? You can see out of the woods you can't see into them. It's just different. And as far as hearing someone scream or yell or anything? Well I'm not saying you go deaf but if you're having a conversation with the person to your left 50 feet away, you just might not hear the guy who's now much further away because he hasn't yelled or anything because he hasn't been stung yet and is actually closer to two or three hundred feet away. Working in the woods or open fields is not like you'd expect. Sometimes I can hear someone talking from 500 feet away as if they're right next to me, other times they sneak up as if they were trained assassins.

It could be that he is selectively lying to law enforcement/strangers. Maybe he did see his Mom but saw the authorities had gotten involved and for whatever reason thought he was going to be in even bigger trouble maybe with the police over kid reasoning. So the whole "Oh, about 30 minutes, been with my Grandfather watching TV and eating biscuits" wasn't something the kid actually believed but a fib he told to I believe what was 3 individuals dressed in civilian clothes no? That might be interesting to consider, were any of the 3 men that rescued him wearing uniforms?
