I remembered the name, not the face. It's been so long I thought this was a remastered image of a character from 4 or 5 when I saw the thumbnail. Also, I don't think Jimmy was ever meant to be a standout character. I think he and Iwami were meant to contrast each other. Iwami was a very capable criminal and businessman whose father wanted to protect him from a life of crime and this resulted in Iwami becoming an ambitious cutthroat who hated and wanted to surpass him. Meanwhile Jimmy was a fairly average guy who wasn't cut out for a life of crime but was pushed into it by his father and his sense of tradition despite seemingly not caring for him much, leading Jimmy to become desperate for his father's approval and reaching for something that was well beyond his ability to grasp and getting killed for it. Iwami and Jimmy were meant to demonstrate two particularly disastrous methods of parenting by their fathers and the potential consequences of it. Which is my way of saying I think Jimmy was pathetic and forgettable by design. He died as a nothing character because he was dragged into a life he was ill suited for and pursued it to gain the approval of someone who didn't seem to even like him.

What sets Aizawa apart, who was certified coward, with all those talk about proving himself, then realizing Kiryu is wounded, yet still attacking him as he knew deep down he would never stand a chance on equal footing? See, it's not that simple.

Always loved the cutscene between Jimmy and Iwami. Iwami understands how to manipulate someone like Jimmy because he's the same way in wanting to gain his father's respect and love, but out of love, Kurusu wanted him to have a normal life, which he resented. As a result, it's very easy for Iwami to know how to make Jimmy feel validated and appreciated, so Jimmy may have felt that Iwami was like a close friend who he could confide in, tell him everything, and trust him because he understood. This shows that Jimmy has no real bonds and no one could help him.

Jimmy and Big Lo's names are probably referencing Hong Kong movies and chinese triads' bosses, who often had American names or English nicknames, it may seem strange to us but it is meant to be cool

Love these videos, man. Please keep them coming. Jimmy Lo is indeed forgettable, but he's a tragic character at least. Could've been done far better, but at least he brought some interesting stuff. Meanwhile Tatsukawa on the other hand... This hasn't ever been done, I think. But why not make a video detailing Kiryu and Majima's bond and maybe history? for some reason, I still find people confused by it. Would make for a fun video. Like that Y3 Tojo meeting scene. Even though that scene is cool and humorous, the reason he didn't vouch for Kiryu was to not disturb his life in Okiwana. He really is his older brother.

Less obviously, Big Lo is technically a pun for "dai lo" which is a cantonese term for BIG BOSS. The Lo surname is the part I dont have a problem with. But, why JIMMY and not a normal sounding Chinese name? Is Big Lo a westaboo or is Big Lo just a super fan of Double Dragon? Even if some might argue that Jimmy, like Ed is a nickname, RGG really should have come up with something better. Maaayyybe..... Billy? ..... Nah, bad idea.
