So in the Japanese version, they overlay an audio filter to give it an echoey texture. I wish they did that for this because it adds more to the feeling of the song being strictly for her.

I actually liked it because it had more emotion in it and there was still an echoed texture to it which starts at 1:20 but it's just not as pronounced and I actually kind'v liked it better since it felt more fitting and had a little more of a fluidity to it as well. It's just my opinion though and I thought that a lot of the Japanese raps were still some of the best I've ever heard in an anime.

I remember hearing the echo filter on the episode when he was rapping when I watched the dub, it did have a major impact on the rap itself because it added to the idea that it resonated with Miki

The English rap isn’t bad, but I think the flow in the Japanese version is a bit better, the English version is a little klunky in some areas. Although, as a native English speaker, the lyrics in the English version are a little bit more impactful on a first listen.
