It's not often one can say that over a decade later, this artist not only looks way younger, healthier, happier and has far surpassed his own vocal talent, technical guitar playing , live performances & composition/song writing in general. I will never not love this man's talent and personality.

I really miss his old vocal style, i love that compression and grit that he used in some parts ... like the “ you are” one, it adds some much more emotion to the performance .

@@xobrasxx I do to in a way. I love the raw emotion of his earlier stuff. He's way more controlled now. You can see in this his face is turning red because he's really pushing a scream instead of letting the vocal distortion do all the work. But he just looks so miserable lol.

i cannot figure for the life of me how anybody has unliked this video. It's sonic. It's loud. It's beautiful. There's anger and there's sadness. He does his death scream. He sings with his pure clean voice. He sings everywheree in between. He's got the skullet. It's got a bit of the 70's heavy feel to it. It's good. That's all I can say about this song.

Best compliment I can pay is it reminds me of Pink Floyd at their greatest, incredible musicianship from Devy and the rest of the boys. Devy continues to make great music no matter what genre it fits into.

Gotta love how Devin unloads those screams with emotion. I think that because of his bipolar disorder he's able to convey more feeling to his singing. It also explains why his albums are different themed each time.

I think this song is about dealing with intense pain that someone you care for does to you. "Cause you're so vicious, hurt me! I can take it!" Love it

Neck pickup is a fernandez sustainer, or a sustainiac. Not sure which.

+Jamie Severson I asked this same question somewhere in the comments years ago and never got an answer. Had a friend that had a blade pickup like the one Devin has here in the neck that was not hum-cancelling but sounded awesome. It looks a lot like a SD hot stack.
