It's not often one can say that over a decade later, this artist not only looks way younger, healthier, happier and has far surpassed his own vocal talent, technical guitar playing , live performances & composition/song writing in general. I will never not love this man's talent and personality.

Love the analysis about it having an almost too overwhelming amount of emotional depth... I've always felt this about this song too. I guess it really reflects the bipolar state of his mind back then. Basically your life has the intensity and emotionality of an acid trip for any length of time during manic episodes. Neck pickup is a fernandez sustainer, or a sustainiac. Not sure which.

+Jamie Severson I asked this same question somewhere in the comments years ago and never got an answer. Had a friend that had a blade pickup like the one Devin has here in the neck that was not hum-cancelling but sounded awesome. It looks a lot like a SD hot stack.
