What I like most about the Tim Burton's Batman is that, on one hand, they are incredibly comical and filled to the brim with stereotypes and comic relief... and yet, the villains are never 'just' villains. They have a backstory, and they are... mean. Like, they actually want to gain something at any cost, and they are entirely unapologetic about it, and one can at least understand where they are coming from... That being said; Excellent reaction... and... uh... Now I can't wait for "Batman Returns" from 1992; Michele Pfeiffer and Danny DeVito give that movie a whole different vibe... My Personal favorite Batman Movie Ever :D ...I also think you might want to check out Batman (1966) ... Its horrible, but fun. Like an Ed-Wood-Film :D

All the subsequent Batman cartoons from the 90s were based on this movie. Its why the Gotham of the infamous "Batman the Animated Series" looks exactly like this one and even uses the same music. In fact, Alisha (the Joker's girlfriend) is actually the inspiration for the character "Harley Quinn" in later cartoons and comics.

The reason Jack (Joker) grabbed his henchman, Bob, and talked the way he did is because he was recreating when his boss, Grishom, did the same thing to him earlier when he said that Jack was his "number one guy". Also, bit of trivia, the song that is playing when Joker goes into the museum is sung by Prince as well as the song during the parade.

The brilliance of Jack Nicholson’s performance as the Joker is that he’s barely performing. Unlike Heath Ledger, Mark Hamill and all the others, who might have been scarier or crazier as Joker, Jack’s is the funniest, and the most genuine. Mark Hamill might have the best Joker laugh, but even his sounds forced, like the Joker is laughing deliberately in that moment to play up the clown image. But every one of Jack’s laughs as the Joker sounds like Jack himself is actually laughing on-set because he thinks it’s actually funny. The best example of this is when he fries the mobster, and he’s the only one left in the room with the smoking corpse. He’s genuinely talking to the corpse, he is genuinely laughing at his own joke, even with no one around to observe that he’s a crazy clown, so he’s not just playing up an image. And the way he does it, and the joke genuinely IS funny, I have no problem believing that Jack Nicholson was really laughing at the joke in that moment, and would have even if he wasn’t being filmed. Thats why Jack’s Joker seems the most genuine out of all of them, because the laughs don’t seem like acting; Jack is just being Jack.

@raytheuglymusician24532 ай бұрын
Actually, Batman’s ‘no kill’ rule was established in Batman#4; prior to that point, the only murders I’m aware of are 1. Alfred Stryker, 2. Hugo Strange, 3. Dr. Death (which technically doesn’t count because he came back in the next issue), 4. some dude he hangs from the batplane (not cool), and 5. Dracula. People have this perception of early Batman as this unhinged maniac, but in reality it was only a handful of times and as the story called for it.

Awesome movie but due to studio interference and cuttin Robin out alot of plots was changed while they was in production. If you read Sam Hamm first draft you're be amazed what they took out what made sense for etc in the batcave when Batman knocked Vicki out with gas the original scene where his parents was murdered was a dream sequences when she fell and she appeared in his dream watchin a young Gordon that aided Young Bruce and after they saw her in his dream she woke up at her apartment. That's how she originally found out he was Batman. Also Bruce never let Vicki in the batcave but it made sense since Batman already took her to the batcave before that. The script would make you like it more.
