I swear 90's action movies just hit different. This one is up there with the best of the best but the whole decade just had banger after banger. Broken Arrow and Executive Decision are also great gems from that era, too.

Probably one of my top five favorite movie villains, so unhinged and almost always one step ahead of the heroes! Dennis Hopper gave one of the best performances, ever!

Both Keanu and Sandra had mutual crushes on one another in this movie (hence their amazing chemistry), but neither one of them acted on it. Apparently it became known when each of them were on Ellen at two separate periods of time. Glad they remained close, but pity that they never actually got together. Great reaction!

Well...on the making of you can see how they actually made a real clone of the bus do the jump in the film, the problem was the incline at the end of the ramp they used that made the bus nose go straight up in the air and that poor bus was completely destroyed front to back when it landed...the issue was that they only had 2 more buses to use (1 for the whole movie and another to explode crashing the plane at the airport. Sooooo...they left the ridículous jump as the final shot and call it a day. 😅

Speed was awesome when I saw this as a shortie in 1994. This movie was so popular back in the day. It spawned the whole Die Hard on the …. This movie launched the careers of Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Enjoy.

This was a great surprise summer movie when it came out. Just fun, good acting, great great chemistry with the co stars, fast paced. You know that the movie is doing something right when they do the jump over the gap. Totally unbelievable you know it could never happen. But you're so engaged into the movie you just go with it. And that works because so many other things are working so well beforehand.

This movie was huge when it came out in the 90’s but it has one critical flaw. Metro buses don’t take the highways in Los Angeles. If they did, they would never be able to keep schedule and you would never get to your destination. City buses only take steet routes

A very stupid part of the movie is them assuming the bad guy died in the explosion. Obviously there would be body parts left behind. It's not like it was a nuke that vaporized the body.

I think he may have used the body of the security guy that he killed with the screwdriver at the very beginning of the movie. Clearly he had his escape route planned in the event that his plan was successful, so he was always gonna go through the underground parking area doors. So the guy's body was probably there and he detonated the bomb while he was escaping through some hatch or something he had set up from the beginning. He was a meticulous planner, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

The bad guy wanted 3 million and the bus blew up an airplane worth well over 20 million not to mention damage to various collateral damage to random cars and and a train. It blows my mind. What would you do if you was the mayor or governor. Not give the money and suffer damages upwards of 50-100 million dollars or lose 3 million dollars...
