Man you all have no idea how much this has helped me. For so long I have been a man with lack of discipline in my sex life. Like Kirk I thought that marriage would change that but NO! This is honestly the best discussion on this I have heard yet. The church has got to talk about this without being judgemental and yet be able to be aware of the struggles not just non Christians but Christians do, as otherwise where are they going to learn this? Most if not all is learned from the world right now and like you said, our parents absolutely are not talking about it or giving wisdom or setting the right example. Wow-the sincerity and acknowledgment of how dating in the past not only affected them, but the many women who were scarred in the process was so moving. The fact that they exposed this issue will help to equip both men and women to be successful in relationships. Essentially, Kirk modeled brotherly love and kindness over emotions of guilt, shame or pride. I have so much respect for their transparency on a subject that men of God fail to acknowledge.

Great conversation, but I think this issue is in all the churches. Kirk did a great job explaining soul ties. I also think that women have issues of lust too, this idea that women don't have desires and that only men struggle with this is so erroneous. As a woman, when I try to have conversations, even with other women about this, it's quite challenging. But I think that as more people, men and women, talk about this, God can help us to find freedom with this issue. Blessings!

Thank you so much for uploading this. I have a son and will watch this with him...it will be my 3rd time! The convo with Kirk also helped me understand what was and is possibly going on with a man I was in love, still in love with. This also helped me reaffirm #thewait in my life. I was celibate for 2 yrs and 8 mos and I fell. It was actually my 2nd time doing that and guess what...the result weren't any different because this man knew the Word. I'm sticking with God's way and His results from now on. It's worth it to wait.

I have watched this interview 3 times over the last couple of years. Every time I watch it, I have another "ah ha" moment. If more men lived their lives according to what Kirk and Devon talk about, putting God first, relationships would be more transparent between men and women. Watching this interview, along with reading Devon's book, The Truth about Men, helped me walk away from a dead end "situationship". I've been proposed to nearly a dozen times over the years by different men, engaged twice (reluctantly because I knew better), propositioned to go half on a baby more times than I'd like to recount (smh), and propositioned way too many times to engage in adulterous relationships (very disturbing), but by the grace of God and the Holy Spirit inspiration of the testimonies of Devon and Kirk, I was able to walk away from all those situations knowing that none of those persons were the man that God has prepared for me, and promised to me, since before the beginning of time. I may not know the physical identity of the man that God has prepared for me, but I know his spiritual identity. So, I'm still waiting patiently on God to bring him to me (or vice versa) at God's appointed time. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength....Isaiah 40:31 💯🙏🏾 Btw, I have yet to be married or have children. I am waiting on the promises of God....however long it shall take. I will continue to hope for, wait on, walk in, and trust in, God's best plan for my life.

I remember when I finally realized sex and love were two different things. I grew up with this belief that sex meant love. Until one time the guy didn’t try to have sex with me and it felt awkward. Like as if because he didn’t want to have sex with me he didn’t really even like me. It’s was funny after not talking to him for a while to find out he just didn’t want us to be about sex. What he did change my whole perspective of course I still desire sex but I desire respect more now because of him. Thanks for turning me down dude. Who knew rejection could be so enlightening?
