In Australia 99% of professionals use blade right saws ,the dust doesn't go all over your legs ,they ard safer to carry if you are right handed, when you cut, the bulk of the base plate sits on the desired material, they are easier to cut bevels with and you can hold the timber with your left hand while cutting.

That's a really nice saw, but if I'd choose that or a Milwaukee m18 fuel, id still get the Milwaukee. My reasons are because it weighs 4 pounds less the dewalt, and that's not including the battery, also plenty of power for framing, I framed lots of houses and I only need 2 5.0 batteries charged full per day for regular lumber, and 4 5.0 batteries charged full for cutting lots of osb/plywood. I also do alot of finish work, so the Milwaukee is more compact to use for that type of work.
@Angel-xh5pq7 жыл бұрын
Daniel Garbuzov, I agree with you, The m18 is still a great saw and definitely lighter. I'm also very confident that Milwaukee will soon be coming out with a "wormdrive style" soon. Most of my tool are Dewalt but I'm happy with the few Milwaukee tools that I have, I have respect for both, thanks for watching
@joseaceves816 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with with you Daniel. I was about to pull the trigger on the new dewalt saw until I saw how much it weighed. This saw is for the kind carpenter that frames with a 28 oz. hammer if you know what I mean. I'm happy swapping out batteries multiple times a day if it means carrying less weight. I've framed houses with a 5 1/2" skilsaw sidewinder and a 20 oz. hammer for most of my career and shake my head when I see guys using a worm drive saw. Far too heavy IMO.
@alexgarcia39006 жыл бұрын
The dewalt has more power than Milwaukee. I have the older 60v saw and just today I ripped 20 sheets one after the other with a rip guide and a fully charged 2ah 60v battery. The thing has so much power! more than a skillsaw. Milwaukee will do it too but holly crap the dewalt has balls. I was using the skillsaw all day but the kreg rip guide didn't work on the skillsaw. Milwaukee is probably a better all around saw but if you need power the dewalt wins without a question.

Thank you. You showed good points. I was concerned about the base on the 75. It looks slim and that it could bend. I have a cheap Skill circular saw and its narrow part of its base tends to bend when under pressure while cross cutting 2 x 4 lumber leading to slight vertically unsquare cuts. The 75 is the one available in my country, Peru. It's very good and the best available here, but I'm still concerned about the base. Could you try and see if it's sturdy or a little flexible? I'll be trying to import the 77. The only thing I don't like about it is that it only comes with one battery! Might buy the 75 because of it's 2 batteries. Dang!

Angel Jones great comparison. I’ve seen both your videos and I think you did a great job of comparing them. I’m in the market myself for one or the other. I’m think the 577 but I’m wondering if it’s overkill for around the house projects. I’m not a contractor so the best isn’t necessary but the prices now are pretty close on both of them. I’m thinking the build quality is a little better on the 577 as well.
@likeaboss8826 жыл бұрын
Seems like the left hand worm style saw is built better, and aimed squarely at the professional contractor who is going to use this tool every day hours a day. I have the smaller of the two, the standard style circular saw. It's aimed at someone who isn't using it more than 3-5x a month. It's also $100 less.

The Flexvolt recip saw is already one of the most powerful (if not the most powerful) on the market, I would be pretty surprised if Dewalt decided to step it up to 2400 on one any time soon. I think the reason they came out with the worm-drive saw was because they didnt have one in the flexvolt line-up and also a left-blade set-up, I dont think increasing the wattage on it was their main goal.
@Angel-xh5pq7 жыл бұрын
Jonas Ausiura I agree with you on the recip saw. Had mine for over a year no problems, much less vibrations than the 20v. I love the wieght on the Flexvolt recip saw. It feels like an extremely well built tool (best cordless recip saw imo) unlike other brands. The reason I mentioned a rafterhook is because other cordless brands have rafterhooks on theirs, and it comes in handy here an there. As strong as the Flexvolt recip saw is I would really like to see a 2400w or stronger version to a point where it outperforms the top corded recip saws. I have a corded Bosch recip saw that cuts faster then my Flexvolt one. I would really like to see a new improved Flexvolt one outperform my corded Bosch. Other than that I'm really happy with my Flexvolt recip and would buy a new one in a heartbeat if something happened to mine. I think the reason they upped the power on the DCS577 is to outperform makitas x2 36v Wormdrive saw, I also wouldn't be surprised if Milwaukee comes out with a "wormdrive style" soon
@jonasausiura1657 жыл бұрын
I understand what you mean, a rafter hook is definitely a well needed feature- on the recip saw and the 575 circ saw. Can I ask you a question? Why did you buy both saws? I have both too (ordered the 577 about a month ago and since its relatively new and such a hot item, its barely on its way to me), however I dont really have a better answer than I just wanted it lol. I dont have much experience with corded recip saws as all of the ones I have are cordless and the flexvolt blows all of them out of the water, but from what I have read, the flexvolt recip saw is claimed to be on par with the corded but maybe its still a little short of producing the same power as corded... Though whatever Dewalt comes out with next for that tool, I have a feeling they will be on that level, so yea.. Maybe youre right, maybe they will come out with a slightly more powerful motor on the next saw. Though I hope they dont design it to run with two flexvolt batteries like the Makita, that would be one sure way of producing that extra power but I think the weight of it would be too much.
@Angel-xh5pq7 жыл бұрын
Jonas Ausiura Thanks, I had the DSC575 for about a year, then I saw the DCS577 and tool addiction kicked in and I had to have it lol. On the recip side I'm sure Dewalt will stay on a single Flexvolt battery, they can do a dual 60v x 2 but that would just be kinda bulky and too much wieght. Yes the Flexvolt recip saw is stronger than a good amount of corded recip saws but the contractor grade corded recip saws do tend to have a power advantage over the Flexvolt. I'm really looking foward to see where dewalt goes with these tools, so far I'm impressed
@jonasausiura1657 жыл бұрын
Oh yea, I know how that goes.. The same reasoning was behind me ordering the full flexvolt sliding miter saw kit and stand lol. I am eager to get the worm drive saw going though, I feel like it would be really comfortable cutting 2x4s resting on your leg and using the weight of the saw to cut down it. I also picked up one of those kreg accu-cut rails and wanted to mount one of the saws on it to help cut 4x8 sheets of plywood. Is the 577 quite a bit heavier than the 575, or not by much? I didnt know that, I never had one since I started buying all of my tools, cordless was the biggest driving factor, I would compromise power over the versatility of a cordless unit. Oh yea, I am too, definitely stoked to see what they come out with next.
@Angel-xh5pq7 жыл бұрын
Jonas Ausiura Tool addiction lol, The weight diffrence is not major, wormdrive style is a little heavier but not by much since its mostly made of plastic, rubber, and magnesium. The Dewalt miter saw is really nice too, I don't know which stand you use but I highly recommend the Ridgid folding one, its really nice and kinda matches lol

How can I tell if the circular saw is for right handed or left handed? I have the one on the left but in a brushless
@trashes_to_treasures5 жыл бұрын
Andrew Aguirre i think the difference would be that for left handed persons, the blade should be on the right so you could see the line of cut better and vice versa. I myself am left handed, owning a DCS391 ("rightie") but I use both my hands when working... 😉 So, never really had any problems with line of sight.. I might get the leftie version (DCS576) and maybe it will make a difference, but I honestly don' think it will.
