Great fan! The older model had a tripod mount on the bottom. I loved it. I have a nonfunctioning older model and a functional new model. I want to see if i can swap out the bases, but i don't wanna brake the new one. Lol

Yup, and had a 120v plug too on the old one...the new one has more cfm though. Just don't force anything, find the screws, shouldn't be too bad. Can always try fixing the old one just to get it running again too, then you'd have two fans :)

Great fan my ego is superior but it is a nice fan just set it at 3/4 and not full and you will get significantly more time

Yeah, it's handy, and having it on the same battery system is convenient.

@@SomeGuysGarage I have the older model that has the plug in for a cord tho I chose that one over the newest version even tho it has slightly more cfms just for that. Not sure why they took that out

@@SomeGuysGarage They are! I have a mix of both Milwaukee and DeWalt power tools for home and yard use.

@@SmackeysGarage I don't own any Milwaukee but there's some Mastercraft, Ridgid, Makita, Bosch, Porter Cable, and other power tool brands I own. Just how it goes but anything serious that's cordless it's hard not to stick to one brand. I've got friends with Milwaukee who are equally happy with it as I am with mine.

Dewalt 20v fans are better then Milwaukee 18v ones. The Dewalt is quite & the air flow is ALOT more! Don’t understand why Dewalt took out the 120v option? Milwaukee has there stupid cord so don’t loose it. “I own couple of both”

It uses Dewalt 20v batteries, so you have to use one of the Dewalt tool battery chargers.

@@Squrrillyadamsthe DCE511 had the plug in, but wasn't for charging as you had to remove the battery to use the plug. The DCE512 (like tihs) removed the plug but increased the CFM slightly.

Not entirely sure, they don't list it as brushless anywhere but rumour is the DCE511 was brushed and the DCE512 is brushless which is why they ditched the AC port and got slightly more airflow. Though I can't confirm any of this.

The 512B is just the bare tool without batteries (you need to get them separately or use 20v Dewalt batteries you already have)

No hybrid feature (cant plug it) also no more tripod mount. Higher cfm moves more air than the 511...the ip54 is solid since apart from one other brand, other brands cant get get their fans wet ​@SomeGuysGarage
