Great product evaluation! Get yourself a large empty thread spool and drop it into the tube as you get close to empty. The spool will fill the gap and allow you to push out all the adhesive. Great video!

That's a really good idea, thanks!

Great review I was always curious why people would buy the small one. I work on a construction crew, and we use the big ones, but only When we're laying pl down for a floor / sub floor. for everything else, we just use the hand ones And ours are pretty old One of them even uses the old dewalt pole style battery. So it's cool to see the new features. Never thought about upgrading

There are conversion kits to swap between the different tube sizes and even to sausage packs. I just rarely use more than a tube at a time, so this made sense for me...but definitely the bigger tubes for laying subfloor in a whole house would be great.

Some constructive feedback: 1. Simulating real-world use & applying a bead would be more helpful than dumping a tube of caulking in a circle. 2. A little more critical analysis of the tool or compare in brevity how the Dewalt contrasts with other brands? - e.g. is it actually the trigger that varies speed as advertised or just that dial on the back? (Im a dewalt fan but still). Hope my input helps, my intent is to encourage not lament or troll lol thx for the video !

Always appreciate constructive feedback! To help answer the couple questions though - I was using it for adhesive in the real world, so wasn't ever running beads per say, I prefer a manual one for that still....though that would have been good to show, you're right. And I haven't used other brands powered caulking guns, so don't feel as though I'm qualified to comment on that.

Big project for me very soon and I need one of these. As with all battery power tools, *How the battery life for this?* *About how many tubes can you run thru before it dies?*

No idea, I never even come close to draining a battery...on a 2ah doing a dozen tubes of construction adhesive I didn't lose a single bar.

Are these better for silicone for control? Do you get a neater bead from the get go?
@SomeGuysGarage9 ай бұрын
@@charliehanson1676 potentially...though with silicone I still prefer to use a regular caulking gun since I will use a finger after to smooth any bumps from pumping. This is better at adhesives and other thicker less precise caulking.
