Bought this caulk gun and through trial and error I cut the tip of the caulk tube a tiny bit smaller than I usually do than when I use a manual gun. What I have found is with a smaller tip the speed control dial gives you better range for flow control. With a big cut tip, no matter what speed, the bead will all be the same size.

I just get it today for $59.79 without tax, its better than RIDGID one I return, i may have to use standard one for molding, and trim, this Ryobi is floating too much maybe i need more practice, but for $60 is still pretty good to me. Thank for the video.

If you back the trigger off half way before it completely turns off, it will slow down the output because there is still force in the gun. And then feather the trigger as you need more caulk output. This allows for a smaller continuous stream.

I have the M12. It's awesome for laying out tube after tube of PL and other adhesives. I also use it for polyurethane sealants for siding & windows. You get a way more consistent bead when you don't have to think about pumping it by hand. Not to mention your hand isn't sore from 100s of feet and multiple tube I still use a manual gun for tubs and baseboard though.

Not my experience with pneumatic was building aluminum window and was using it all the time what a hand saver and way faster especially the one using the aluminum foil sausage like tube No drip and you can easily adjust the flow with the trigger and air valve With a correctly sized nozzle and air pressure you can achieve super small beads but way faster than with a manual gun

The amount of material is based on your movement speed. For example: speed 6 at a fast past moment will produce the same bead as if you had it set on 1 going at a much slower body motion. Over all I have one and it is spot on. I easily ran perfect beads consistently to my comfort speed.

The trigger has two positions built in, pull all the way back to do your bead, and if you want no pull back, release trigger until the motor stops. Release trigger completely and it will pull back
@PacificDiscovery1112 ай бұрын
Bought it and, on my first job it did not work well. I could not get continuous dispensing, the motor would stop within two-three seconds and not push the caulking out, very disappointing. I recall using another one in the past and it worked well. I think, it may be a malfunctioning item, too bad the store is 110km away to return it.

Looks to be exactly the same as the old gun, with a new shell. U only get runout with dap caulk when it's first opened. Dap is the worst caulk on the market, coming from a painter with 18 yrs experience and dap is made in Baltimore where I live. Any Sherwin Williams brand caulk is top of the line, I use max flex. No runout at all. Just my 2 cents

@Shoptoolreviews2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are correct for a really fine line. However, my point here is that it really won't flow that slow. The finer the tip you cut, it just increases the velocity of the material (caulk) coming out. It won't go low/slow enough to provide a really tight line. Thanks for watching.

A moment of silence for the old P310G, the last (I think) blue Ryobi that was still in production (just with green plastic). It looked pretty out of place with it's soft curves vs the more blocky and angular newer tools.

I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great kzbin.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

I don't recommend these for detail finish work like baseboard or trim, crown molding, etc. This is for anything thick like liquid nails or oil based caulks. I don't even use my battery powered caulk gun cuz it puts out more caulk and takes longer to use. I'm much faster and cleaner with a standard caulk gun
@Shoptoolreviews2 жыл бұрын

Try Urethane windshield adhesive or urethane concrete caulking with a manual gun. Doesn't matter how strong you are, you won't get more then a 6" bead out before your hands give up, that's what these guns are for, thick products that need 100lbs of force to get it out of the tube. For painters caulk or something thin, the the standard orange hand operated gun can't be beat.
