Thanks very much for this video. My little work radio broke today so i had just put one of these in my basket at screwfix, i thought before i press buy i will watch some reviews. Then you mentioned the mega boom ! i had a pair of mega booms for my gym, one broke so i got a new gym speaker system. I have a megaboom already it is now going to work tomorrow😃

I returned mine because I thought the speakers were junk, no high end. But I like the speaker layout providing wider dispersion. Think I’ll get a used one and upgrade the speakers.

I have thought about taking mine apart and looking at upgrading the speakers see if it improves it at all, I'm pretty sure it's out of warranty now so I have got nothing to lose really

@@KT.459 open it up. Sometimes it’s just a loose cable harness, or wire. The board can only push so many watts, so adding heavier speakers with triple wattage may take more wattage to push, decreasing volume. I’m thinking just a minor upgrade on the speakers. The speakers in it barely distort on top volume, so they are pretty well matched. I think they are 10 watt speakers, so 15 watt replacements might work well.

Thanks it's on huge sale $75.but everyone saying it sounds like your underwater. So I'm not gonna get it.i already have $40. Anker bluetooth and this doesn't seem like a good enough upgrade

WARNING: Whilst the BT works fine with my phone, I've tried several types of format with a USB stick and the USB does not appear to function as a sound source.

Would using5ah 18v battery improve the sound at all? Just as I’ve seen improvements over my tools using the 6ah over to 2ah

I don't think a big battery would allow for better sound quality I think it's purely just the speakers not that great on the phone

Nah I have the US version and sounds the same one 12V, 20V and AC. Real disappointing.

I just picked up a DCR010 (US/Can version) and have to agree the SQ on this is not that great. Will be returning it. Though I'm mainly a "TTI guy" I stumbled into having to get DeWalt 12V and was intrigued by the 3-way power on this--20V/12V/AC (don't think the 011 has AC). Took me just a few minutes to realise the SQ wasn't too great. It's not just the "lack of bass" either, the sound is congested, and lacks good definition. It sounds like something you'd listen to talk radio on, which is funny since it has no radio tuner on it. TBH I'm not really that big a fan of any "portable BT speaker" but this one is quite disappointing. I have a JBL Flip 3 and that is nothing great; however between the DCR010 and the Flip 3 it's still like night/day lol. The Flip can't get as loud but it sounds much better and if *that* sounds better then yeah, DeWalt is going back! Ashame, the deal was good on it ($120 CAD) compared to reg price, but I think I'd have to get it at half that price then modify it with better speakers, possilbly a better amp (depending on weak point), etc. The rest of the features are awesome but the sound lets it down. Wish I had known to look for DCR011 reviews as yours would have saved me the bother. All the DCR010 reviews have way overrated it.

Terrible review. It has loads of bass. Not sure what you're doing, but mine has tons of bass and sounds great. Maybe adjust your phone.

Hey, this review is purely my opinion, for me I found the sound quality very flat especially when compared to other Bluetooth speakers I have, I did try adjustments to the equaliser on my phone but it didn't make much of a difference, if you are happy with yours then that is great, I am happy for you.

Hey, this review is purely my opinion on the speaker, if your happy with yours then that's great, for me I just found the sound quality to be very flat especially when compared to other Bluetooth speakers I have, thanks for sharing your opinion though 👍
