DeWalt DWHTO-10295 Deadbolt Retractable Knife Blade Change

I spent about 10 minuets trying to change the blade in this thing on my own. Didn't work--so I looked for videos. First one sucked and was not clear. This one, amazingly simple and clear to follow. Mine apparently had a burr or something from manufacturing. I had to take a flat blade screwdriver and use it to force the thumb slide forward the last notch to be able to release the blade lock. After that it works very easily and smooth.

Thanks. While changing the blade might be a pain, this is the most comfortable utility knife I have used.

Even with a pair of needle nose pliers, the knife won't let go of the blade. I have the blade release fully depressed, and the blade is forward. It's just stuck... how do you open the knife?
