I have one for a while , at first I was very happy with it.But after few months it start loosing suction, I found that all connections got loose. So I had to silicone some and put electrical tape on other connections. It work fine now, but I expect better quality from dewalt

I just did a google search for this unit because I first saw it on the company's employee E-store. Compared the employee pricing to the prices online- sold. I'm going to buy one even though I don't need one, that's how much of a discount it is. I was wondering how it was self cleaning.

When will vac manufacturers learn... we want to stack things on top and around vacuums. We want to even lock things to the top and use the vac as a dolly. It's like they go out of their way to _make sure_ it's the oddest shape. Round all over with lots of sticky-out-bits and hoses that don't store very well.

Are you able to to vacuum anything besides dust while the fliters are attached? (Chunks of drywall, small pieces of plastic or cardboard, etc.)

Yeah if it fits in the hose and it's dry it goes in

Nice video guys. DeWalt is actually not the first to have the auto clean filter technology but its going to be a good vacumm for the consumer given the price point. I didn't see if it was approved for RRP work. The Festool HEPA vacs are certified for RRP, not sure about the DeWalts. Any info on that?

Lo malo de este modelo nuevo es que los dos filtros ocupan mucho espacio dentro del tanque de acumulación de polvo a diferencia del modelo antiguo

is size the only difference between this and the dwv010 performance wise?
@Toolsinaction8 жыл бұрын
To the bigger one sucks better but I could be imagining things
@rabidDAWGfan828 жыл бұрын
in your opinion is it better enough to justify the $200 price difference? Main uses for it would be a sander, table saw, and miter saw.

Maybe a review in real world conditions over a period of time would be better? The plastic valves they use to switch air over the filters get heated up by the vacuum motor air exhaust being sent back through the filters causing the valves to warp, there by reducing any blow back through the filter and reducing CFM.. In order to get a sufficient amount of air to pulse off the dust and debris from the filters, the valves can not allow any air to seep through why it's adjourning valve is open. To use a vacuum with a 7" grinder on concrete, OSHA requires you have 1175 CFM, so if your thinking you can get a cheap vacuum to get by, think again. This vacuum does not Qualify under OSHA Silica rules for any tools greater than 4 or 5" That measurement is based on the blade the tool uses. For a tool to be used with a vacuum for dust suppression and pass the OSHA Silica standard, there must be 25 CFM for each inch of the blade or cutting tool used with the tool. 5 Inch blade requires 125CFM, 7" Blade, 175 CFM. That is OSHA Silica Rule.

Thanks for your comment. I saw this thing a week ago and almost bought it for occasional tile mortar clean-up a grinder attached. Looks like it's Husqvarna S26 or something equivalent.

I have 2 of them one works great the other is for sale anyone interested
All my tools power tools are dewalt so I obviously rate them highly but this thing is a joke. Just bought myself one and the stupid 'flow alarm' thing never shuts up. Let's off a really loud consistent beeeeeeep if you use anything that u wana move around (plunge saw, jig saws etc) it's alright on a chop saw if you set the hose perfect with no sharp bends, but, Even as a Hoover to clean up at the end of the day it'll constantly beep because the air flows 'restricted'..... if you're gona buy one, make sure you order ear defenders.
