Great review. In my opinion you give the best reviews of a wide range of tools on KZbin. From the UK. Thanks!

Again great tool for plumbers and electricians. 5 inch core capability is nice to have on a cordless tool... and again great video. One of many I've seen that you've made. Very honest and informative.

Did you ever end up using the FUEL M18 1-3/4? Had seen y'all say you were gonna, but can't seem to find anything on it here.
@jamesmack30025 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the dch773 just came out. It was announced a few days ago. It's a 2 inch cordless sds max. Over 19 joules of impact energy. So i guess if you're doing a match up of the cordless options you'll want to use that model for comparison.

I have the latest Makita model but it's 36 volt.Uses 2 x 18 volt battery and it's a nice drill,a little on the heavy side but it's an SDS Max drill.It has a link with it to use with their vacuum.The only issue I find is that Milwaukee and Dewalt have 9 amp hour batteries while Makita maxes out at 6 amp.I have not seen anything larger.

at $1000 its hard to justify buying it. I'll stick with corded. Also how is the runtime for chipping? If you have to constaly swap batteries corded would be a better option.
@ConcordCarpenter5 жыл бұрын
charles king as you know we mostly test our tools in the field, on our job. I unfortunately I did not have a project for chipping, so I only chipped some old concrete for resting. I was not able to check runtime

When used for chipping tile, I see a hose for dust that attaches to the hammer. Does this come with it? Is this something extra? I can't find any information on it. I'm not really concerned with the rotary aspect. I need the dustless tile removal.

Should make short work of 1.5" to 2" p trap conversions in a slab. A bit overkill for tile demo though.

Great , but like to see it chip concrete only from side walks to concrete slabs.

According to the manual, the service lights are not for brushes. It’s for hammer lubrication and seals.

Have you done the smaller SDS+ they came out with recently? I think they launched it as Flexvolt internationally and then as a 20V max tool here in the US. Might be wrong though. I have the older SDS+ compact and love it; however, there are times more power would be nice

That's what I bought it for. Only I got it slightly used on offer up for $325. I was happy as soon as I saw it. I want to use it to break up concrete in old posts too.

2:46 doesn't make any sense to me. Says "brushless" then has a symbol of a motor brushand an arrow pointing from it to "brush service". Is it brushless or not?! Make up your mind, SBD.
@tommym62485 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing the motor itself is brushless and the e-clutch may use brushes to measure actual current somehow so it can tell when it has been overloaded and stop it from spinning around on you.
@orijimi5 жыл бұрын
@@tommym6248 Ah, that right there makes a whole lotta sense. I've never looked into how e-brakes in grinders and clutches like this function. I wonder if the commutators suffer and the motor's lifetime is markedly impacted by this stuff.
