That's Maxine and Maxine only knows the name on the side of the tool. Poor Maxine actually believes you can make a screw go faster if you push down on the tool. Poor Maxine doesn't even know the basics, like how a screw works. I even told her when she cried about the testing, but I doubt Maxine will ever be able to understand.

@ToolswithSoAlz

Impact Drivers are designed for small fasteners, where camout is a possibility, self tappers, and over tightened nuts and bolts. That's it. Whereas a drill can drive these large fasteners all day without issue. I still suggest making a pilot hole to insure the wood doesn't split.

Just gonna pop in here to say that while you are absolutely correct about the speed of drills driving big screws, for me it is the ergonomics that make me pick up the impact of I’m driving a large quantity of them. I just built a laminated truss that needed about 300 structural screws in it, I used the impact simply because it is less torquey on the wrist and I’m wearing ear plugs anyway so the noise doesn’t bother me.

Bro! DeWalt is almost there!!! DeWalt almost redeemed itself! I bought mine in Ali Express for $199 tool only! Then I got same the results! Yeah the 1st Gen Flex beat the new Gen DeWalt. But!!! I'm surprised that it beats the 4th Gen Milwaukee!!! So DeWalt is almost there! What DeWalt needs to do now is to make a business proposition with Flex/Chevron/Kobalt so that DeWalt can have their own 10ah Powestack battery! Can't you see? DeWalt can only have 5ah power stack? DeWalt is almost there! But anyway my Loyalty is not for DeWalt nor Flex My livelihood depends on Makita and Hikoki tools that's where I'm making my money from as a Blue Collar

@@davidkunkle3262 I tried the Flex, and I think it’s a bit too heavy to make it really appealing to the majority of people. As for the battery differences, there’s no way to avoid that. Dewalt doesn’t make a 6.0 stacked lithium, and Flex doesn’t make a 5.0. The same holds true for a lot of videos where two different brands go head to head.

That flex drill is a damn good drill. We have one that we use at the shop. Dewalt is just reliable. And it’s still a better drill than a lot of cheaper brands. My first drill set that I bought when I officially got into the trades was a ryobi set. It was just slow as a dog cranking out a turd. I’ve used mostly dewalt after that. I’ve been building up a Milwaukee collection lately but I’m still keeping all of my dewalt stuff because it’s still decent stuff. My Milwaukee journey started with the pack out. The pack out is expensive but boy is it handy and functional. I like the portability and how you can keep everything organized. Dewalt makes a similar system but they don’t have as many options. And the plastic is kind of flimsy. I got tired of buying them cheaper boxes and organizers and they always ended up broken. So I’ll see how this works out in time.

The only reason why the flexvolt batteries, the 9ah in particular, have better performance is because they have more cells in parallel. This DCF860 is not a 60v tool, it wouldn't make "much" of a difference since a powerstack was used. Yes, I have several 9 ah, 6 ah flexvolt and, 5 ah and 1.7 ah powerstack. These new pouch cell batteries from Dewalt, Flex and Milwaukee are very nice, power output wise.

@@ToolswithSoAlz I meant that the flex has a 24v battery and DeWalt has 20v battery. That extra 4v makes a huge difference I feel. I think it would be more even if the tools were supplied with the exact same battery voltage and amperage or if DeWalt had a bigger battery if it would win. This one guy at a job had a Chinese clone of DeWalt impactors, and several other DeWalt tools, looked identical but that Chinese ones actually performed better sometimes !However where they went cheap was the batteries, tools worked fine but batteries would last like 15 minutes. So we just started using DeWalt batteries and problem solved. The tools themselves work just as good for a fraction of DeWalt tool cost. The SDS hammer drill he got actually out lasted the DeWalt version and they were bought within a week of each other.
