A little while ago you did a short about this vac and I was amazed and searched and searched for anything on this vacuum. I final found them at my local Lowes. I have to say it is awesome! I use it with my cnc and the noise level in my shop has plummeted. Thank you for all the tool info!!

Based on your review, I bought this vacuum. About $130.00 at Lowes. I dropped it off at the job, but wasn't there when they started using it. Everyone was extremely impressed. When I heard it, I thought there was something wrong. Nope, nothing wrong, just not used to a shop vac being so quiet. It has great suction. I've had several over the years and settled on the Rigid for the last few. No more. I've never seen a vacuum as good as this one. It is so quiet. Deserved repeating. Thanks for the review. You sold at least 3 vacs for DeWalt.

DeWalt brand vacuums are not made by DeWalt, they are made by a company called Alton Industries. They also make porter cable and Stanley brand vacuums too. They are actually really good vacuums and I am very impressed with mine.

Now dewalt needs to make a flexvolt version of this vacuum. Double flexvolt battery with corded adapter option that they already made for miter saw. Dont know why dewalt refuses to keep doing this. Or at least a 60v vacuum with the option to use a 2nd battery if you want for extended runtime. I believe dewalt should really start expanding into larger flexvolt tools that are 60v but have 2nd battery optional. Everybody else doing requires 2 but dewalt doesn't need to because of battery already being a higher 60v. The 2nd battery would be more for runtime. Although for a vaccuum corded or cordless would be best if both worlds

Bought this vac a few days ago after contemplating building a silencing enclosure for my current Ridgid. $130 saved me HOURS of work and easily that much in plywood, hardware, and misc materials like sound dampening foam. This Dewalt stealth sonic vac is easily one of the best shop upgrades I've made. Total game changer to be able to just turn it on without having to go put on hearing protection. Ironically the sound of air rushing into the tool or hose is often louder than the vac motor!

Dewalt been stepping up their game. Nice stuff. I have a 15 year old ridgid 5 gallon I got when I got tired of lugging around the 12 gallon beast. If you ever have to move a full 12 gallon vac full of water you will wonder what the freak were you thinking. Now I also have a small m18 vac that because it’s cordless is so much more convenient it’s crazy but would never consider sucking up more than the bottom of a toilet holding tank or maybe a trap of water. But because of is cordless would go with that over just cleaning up with rags. Would not even think of trying to get a full size shop vac in those spots. For the big water jobs I’d go hose and pump over a vacuum. I like my old 5 gallon been chugging along for years and it’s great for cleaning up cars but have hardly used since I got the m18.

Originally, before Dewalt or Rigid ever even thought of making a shop vac, I had a Craftsman. Rigid was based on the Craftsman, but mine would fit a regular garbage can (Lol). Hey man, like your channel, like you're enthusiasm, but there's one VERY big problem with your results...... The DeWalt vacuum in front of you....... IS NOT A DEWALT VACUUM!! I'll say it again, IT'S NOT A DEWALT VACUUM!! I've owned 2 large DeWalt shop vacs in the past year and a half. The 12 gallon model first, which burnt out over about 8 months. I then bought a DeWalt 9 gallon model, which burnt out over 3 months (3 months). Frustrated, I took it back to home Depot and they replaced it with another 9 gallon replacement model. That one lasted 10 months. At the same time, a good friend, who also had a 9 gallon model burnt out after 5 months. So I took it back to HD again, and they said that it's a manufacturers defect, and they are not responsible for replacing it. So I physically took it to an Certified DEWALT Repair Center, located in Front Street in Philadelphia. As soon as I walked through the door I knew I was "out of luck". The service repairman behind the counter took one look at what I had, immediately started shaking his head, and told me that there was nothing he could do for me. So obviously I asked why he couldn't help me out, and this is what he said...... The DEWALT shop vacs I have been purchasing at "DEWALT" prices, with a registered "DEWALT" manufacturers warranty, in a "DEWALT" box......... WASNT EVEN A DEWALT PRODUCT!!! The man said that the DeWalt corporation "sells" it's brand name to cheaper, no-name manufacturers, and allows them to sell their inferior products under the "DEWALT" brand name we. He said he couldn't even look at it because it doesn't have anything to do with DeWalt! But don't take my word for it, find an authorized DEWALT service center, call them up and find out for yourself. Listen, I've been a loyal DeWalt fan for many years, almost 20, and have watched the drastic decline in the quality of their products over the last 5. So I say to you, when your pretty new "DeWalt" shop vac burns out, (AND IT DEFINITELY WILL "BURN OUT"), just know that you WILL NOT be able to get another without paying for it! Like I said, check it out for yourself. There are a prime example of a major world-wide corporation that is able to skirt around the law's but fourth to product consumers from fraud. It's pathetic, but very real. Thank you for your time

Cool, how does it compare to festool? Ive got a ctm36 ac, I have festool and dewalt 18v and 54v, and some hikoki now. I had makita batteries and radio but regretfully got rid of them, so now I dont have makita option but probably helps with stop buying tools!

If anyone from Dewalt is reading this you need to fix your battery powerd flashlights. Adjustable brightness would be appreciated. And lower the cost. If I'm paying too much for something dos it really matter what brand it is.

How does it compare to a Fein? I have an older one and they are much quieter than any of these models except for the Dewalt which I haven’t tried.

Perhaps, at last, someone is using a brushless motor (VFD type) in a corded vacuum. Not before time- they give more suck and less noise. And are way more efficient.

Well the noise part is amazing but the power is t much better than the rigid. Maybe a second faster. Impressive either way but ehhhhhh
