Cool vid. I binned the random cases that came with my 1/2”, 3/4” and 1/4” socket sets and consolidated them all into one of the tstak clear lid organiser, together with my spanners. I swapped out the two big bins for two smalls (taken from one of my Stanley Fatmax organisers (EXACT same bins) and got all the sockets in 6 resultant bins, leaving a gap at the top for spanners. Modified the side areas (cut away the dividing plastic) to give me channels tha hold my socket wrenches perfectly. Probably not explaining perfectly in words but hope you get the idea. Wish I could paste a pic.

Hopefully this explains a bit better postimg.cc/zLgSG6vK Sockets in 4 of those bins, small spanners in another bin, assorted bits and adapters in the 6th bin. The big gap at the top for my big spanners and wrenches, my socket wrenches and extensions in the two (modified/cut) side channels. Other bits and pieces (like stop offs and blanking nuts) in the hidden compartments underneath.

@@GKGuitarEsq that's a clever idea and a great way to store them tools. I don't use sockets that often however if I did I think it's something I would look at. Handy to know about the Stanley tubs fitting tho 👍

Used the clear tstak for lazer etc by removing the yellow bins and lining with foam cut to fit the instruments. Also handy for a bit store bits that come in little packs or put into foam. I like the fixings like how you did it.

I use to have my copper fittings in the clear lid boxes but upgraded to packout for them. Now I use it for gate valves, quarter turn and imperial compressions in it. The big bins are just big enough for these items. Love it. Great video mate

@@SouthernandSons yeah I see that on your Instagram 👍Looked really nice for them plastic bits. I'm having a issue to where I keep mine. They are on the van racking shelf with big bins to keep them separated and I grab for the job. But don't like it, take too much space up like that but having 40mm bits in a box bloody take lots of room even if you have 5 of each of 3 tees 🤣

The swanky storage bins are a great idea. The only thing that doesn’t make sense is the price of them! You could just buy another set of drawers for the same price if not cheaper.

you could but then you would have to take another box into a job. the less I have to carry into a job the better for me 👍

Southern and Sons good point. I still think it’s a bit expensive for what it is. I have a load of deep pro organisers and I’m tempted to just make dividers for the bins out of 6mm mdf or Perspex. 🤔

I’d imagine that DeWalt bag would have sold better if they made the big DeWalt on the side smaller and less conspicuous. It announces DeWalt to the world if you’re going to work on anything with public around.

Which model is the reciprocating saw? Wondering if it's the same as mine. Trying to figure out if it will fit the t stak box. Trying to dedicate my power tools (Drills, circular saw sawzall). Then modify and dedicate a separate box for batteries and a couple chargers for a contained charging station.

I’m trying to decide on a garage fitout with tstak, packout or toughsystem 2.0 drawers. Would you stick with tstak if you could do it again?
