Great demo of all the cases and how they can “interact” with each other. I’m a sucker for the variety of these cases as well 😬.

DeWALT is literally like the best brand when it comes to this stuff. They have the best organizers. Good quality, and are affordable. Better than any other band I have tried.

Fantastic review. I love that you're answering the hard questions: "If they're closed together, they don't stack so nice" and "they stack and nestle nicely together when the latches aren't closed." Which seems to me like a mess waiting to happen "Again bit of a flaw there." I so appreciate that directness. Nice deep dive into the system(s) and got me interested in both the Dewalt stuff and your channel. I got to looking at the Dewalt TSTAK when I noticed that the Craftsman VersaStack, the Stanly Prostack, Dewalt TSTAK, and even the Harbor Freight "Bauer" Modular storage bins and boxes are all compatible. Knowing the little organizer boxes add to that mix is going to get me shopping. When I get the chance I'll add some customization via 3D printing some inserts.

Great illustration! Just wanted to say that the holders are held in the case with the dovetail pins. These can be stored on the underside of the clear case. Thus it increases the capability of the amount of drivers that can store in the case.

Great overview! I think the half-size case that has mounting points on both the case AND the lid is really good, because when open, it's almost as big as the full-size case. I think having a variety of storage systems is good, because sometimes you need larger, sometimes you need lighter, etc. Variety is the spice of life!

FYI you can put holders in the lids of tough cases also :) I like putting the short angled ones up there. Good job thanks !

I think the benefit of these kinds of systems is a minor amount of convenience in a pinch that over time amounts to actual time savings. Doesn't mean people aren't getting anything useful if they're not making a tower, I would guess as a designer myself that they're not realistically meant for that. I snap a couple of the smaller Toughcase cases together and throw them in my larger Toughsystem boxes. It keeps them grouped and easy to grab. It's more organized this way. So many options.

Exactly. It’s about keeping organized and efficient. Spending time searching through unorganized cases wastes time. That is why the clear lids are awesome!

Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate and explain these. Over the years I've used Bosch 'Pick and Click' boxes. Like you've found with these DeWalts - the clear lid versions have the advantage that you can quickly see the contents although my most-used version isn't clear as with the Bosch you can't attach things to the inside of the clear lids. Thinking about the inconvenience of clipping and unclipping and reclipping to access nested boxes, especially on a job when you're just needing to grab something (and return it to where is belongs) whilst you're working... Have you considered the Stanley Pro-Stack FMMT98107-1 3-Drawer toolkit (a black & yellow version of the black & red Craftsman VersaStack)? I wish this 3-drawer case was offered empty so I could load it out with what I want, how I want!

That is a cool kit! $600+ after tax here in Canada…. Yikes! Maybe if Canadian Tire has it on 1/2 off one day. I agree that would be awesome if it was an empty case!

Great overview. I'm still trying to find the system that works best for me. I've tried these dewalt cases, bosch and the older milwaukee cases. I'll be trying the newer milwaukee cases soon, as well as some rails from bitrailer.

Great overview... and I love the idea of the ToughCases... BUT what I can't seem to find is the One Case to Hold Them All! I haven't seen ANY tool-boxes or bags that are designed to neatly store these cases, and I have a round dozen of them. The closest I've come is an Aftermarket (different branded) "battery holder" with adjustable interior compartments that MIGHT work. Dewalt (and some others) make these wonderful carry-bags with pockets... but the pockets don't look big enough for the ToughCases to fit in. I'd just like something I can keep my bit-cases (and maybe my drill/driver?) in where I don't have to rummage. Maybe a dedicated drawer for their Tstak system? Please? I can't believe nobody else has thought of this. 🤔

These are great Dewalt needs to make and sell the different inserts to really let you design what you need. Great review

What are the model numbers? Where can you get them from? How much do they cost?
@mbwoodbutcher11 ай бұрын
I have collected them over a number of years. Some can be had on Amazon, some are better acquired from local stores. Prices vary depending on where you live. For pricing in Canada check out squares hardware and Mississauga hardware. Those are the two I order from the most. Also your local Amazon site will have many of them but beware as they can be more expensive on Amazon.

@@mbwoodbutcher Thank you! I appreciate your reply! I actually have five ToughCase+ inventory models like you do, and I agree with you that the concept works well. At 7:00, you asked people not to message you asking for model numbers, where to get them, and how much they are - I was just asking this question to jerk your chain. :-)
