a genius design. all mayor manufacturer had one similar in his line. still have one from milwaukee. always ready to go, whatever you throw against it.

This DW222 review and disassembly is great. Very helpful. (I'm stick'n with B&D, until drills begin to be made in USA again. Then I'll up-grade).

Very nice drill. I was looking at the profile, as it looked very familiar to me. In fact it reminded me of my first electric drill that I got in the 90's as a child. And then I realized - my first drill was a Black and Decker and DeWalt of course is owned by the same. Little wonder they shared the same styling (brush area, plastic housing grip). Never thought I would see the day a battery drill would beat a corded. Yet here we are! Technology can be amazing. Though with corded drills you never find yourself sitting around waiting for a battery to charge so you can keep on working. Ha ha.

I just sold my Milwaukee and bought my first ever Dewalt. Positive experience so far. They are a little cheaper to buy than Milwaukee and every bit as good. Planning to stick with these yellow ones from now on.
