(this guy easily first tried every extreme mod with Riven, tho it's probably more because she's broken) That being said, focusing on ms/crit/haste/armor is much more important than HP/duration for unneeded fancy shields. So indeed, don't be me if you want to win

What i dislike about riven is that i feel the champion is designed well for Swarm, however the items make her way too stupid. All you need is uwu blaster on riven and suddenly your limitations on bosses are deleted and you can practically AFK with uwu blaster just proccing your passive for shields. But this was riots first attempt at this kind of genre so i won't complain too much but yeah.

I can see what you mean by that, but at the same time for damage skills off of how close she is so just having that one item won't actually give you very much for shields

@@aaronscott7467 you must be bad at this mode. he didnt exagerate. if you scale your dmg correctly you will be unkillable while standing still against extreme atrox. the problem is more uwu blaster beeing completly broken tho. litteraly any champ with uwu blaster and the right dmg traits makes extreme aatrox super easy

@@matejbosela9093 yup. uwu blaster for sure overtuned. but im glad for that. i realy just wanted to be done with the game mode. it was fun at first but it got boring realy quickly and without uwu blaster grinding the rng of the right traits to have extreme aatrox completion on every champ would have been super annoying

Riven has an enormous shield at the end because there is a lot of mobs and her passive works for every projectile on every mobs, like the UwU blaster works so well on her

When i played this game and got to extreme, i thought it was so hard and that i was having skill issues. Watching this gameplay let me realize that it was a stat issue instead, theres an upgrade that increases all of your base stats that can be leveled up 100 times. So the more you play, the easier the game gets, but not because of skill. I really dislike this design because it makes some characters impossible to beat extreme with until you play enough to upgrade your stats to max

It’s not all of your stats, and what you’ve just described is the difference between roguelike and roguelite as a genre, meta progression that persists between rounds and makes the game not purely a skill issue is literally the defining trait of the genre this game is in. Not liking it is fine, but like that’s not a flaw of the game or the game mode, that’s just you not liking that genre of game.

@@Meichrob7 nope, this genre of game is actually one of my favorites. I've played and beaten similar games such as vampire survivors and holocure and loved them. The issue here is that swarm has a stat upgrade that can be leveled 100 times. This is nearly an infinite progression that trivializes the harder stages, while making them near impossible when u don't have the stats. It just feels bad to play when you are losing not because of mechanics and just have to farm gold and upgrade before you can beat the next stage

@@davidzoo8703 Having played Vampire Survivors and a ton of other games in this genre, I have to assume you haven't actually played Swarm to those higher ends, you haven't played those games to the end, or you're just expecting it to be a harder game. Other games in this genre, objectively have harder meta progression scaling. The difference between an end game Vampire survivors run vs your first run is greater than the difference between your first an last swarm game. Saying "Oh you can upgrade it 100 times" is a bit silly because each of those upgrades is a 1% bonus. It's a much smaller boost per upgrade than any other upgrade is so just citing the number of upgrades is incredibly misleading. Also calling it near infinite seems laughable, its something you can get through in 30 runs or even less, which is a lot if you're just grinding to max it out asap, but isnt that much when you consider that there's not any progression to go for after that. If your main complaint is that the game is too easy when everything is maxed out, thats fair I suppose, but what did you expect? It's a league gamemode, the fighting game in the soul fighter's event was 100x more laughably easy.

you can just go full glas canon with zero hp. just stack dmg crit area and movespeed with the right traits. since your shield scales off of how much dmt you do you can just afk and your dmg will make you unkillable. as long as there is an enemy you can dmg. she pretty much briar on crack cocain, the first 6 levels are a bit harder with riven but then she scales trough the roof

Pretty sure you could kill extreme Aatrox with only the ice armour and maybe one other upgraded weapon, just stats and decent augments and you’re good to go. Riven is just that broken.

I did actually reinstall LoL to try this, and weirdly it told me I had to reboot to finish installing... Then I found out about Riot Vanguard. I play plenty of games with anti-cheat features. Zero of them are required to run on boot and to operate when I'm not playing the game in question. And all the Devs can say is "Uh it just needs to because it does but we can't tell you what it does because cheaters might figure out how to adapt!" That is utterly and wholly inacceptable and no Riot software will touch my PC ever again. I'm legitimately shocked Riot wasn't sued given that likely violates several mandated software disclosure laws. Boycott Riot time.

Totally agree with this. i recover my account (Created in beta and played untill i believe 2016 when Taliyah came out i quit and have not touched it untill now). Swarm got me really interested because i love survival games and the world and lore of League. But all the bullshit borderline bloatware that came with installing it now is unacceptable. Also both Vanguard and league seems to force create a desktop icon unless you uncheck some setting in the game....

@@kokofaser Like that's the thing. What made me promptly stop with this wasn't what anyone else said about Vanguard, it was the Vanguard devs in their own words in a Q&A. Like I said before, I have other games even Chinese ones like Genshin that have intrusive anti-cheats. I eat that risk, I know what they are. NONE of them require me to boot my system with it active so it can pre-emptively keep a little eye on things so cheaters can't bypass it as easy. What does it do? "Can't say, the cheaters will use that to work around it." What does it look for? "Can't say, etc" I am fairly certain that is actually illegal, and for good reason. A user cannot agree to a TOS/EULA for software if the user is not made privy to what said software does. Riot Vanguard should be sued into the ground. Imagine your government said they need to preemptively install cameras in every inch of your house, and turn them on preemptively... in order to protect you in case a crime occurs in your house. But they totally promise it won't be a big deal. Yeah... no. And sure as hell not so I can play a mediocre game. Unfortunately, I expect no one is suing because governments do and want to do the same thing.

I feel like riven is one of the characters where I would not take projectile counts on her. Her, Leona, illaoi, and possibly briar. At least for me, the items that riven really likes are just not using that number. For example, the balliste does not really benefit because it already has so many, it just adds an extra one to the very back of the ring, or the paw print poisoner which just doesn't use that stat at all

Probably the strongest champ in this mode right now. She moves incredibly fast, deals insane amount of dmg, and has tons of shield. It's kinda stupid when Extreme supposed to be very hard but it turns out so easy. You just move around the map collecting things for 18mins and the game is over.

I beat Belveth and Aatrox on extreme on Riven without taking any damage. With 15-ish Anima power. Riven is insane.. My fav. Character so far.

You said that her ultimate is not affected by projectile amount, but that is strictly untrue. Without any upgrades she only shoots one blade, while with upgrades and passives she shoots a star like you see here

the reason your dmg was so high with no dmg bonuses is because her main ability scales dmg off of movementspeed. she also feels much less clunky after a certain breakpoint of movespeed. without it she feels awefully clunky to play imo

You dont even have to run around the aateox. Just stand on him. Your passive works on all weapons, and you get an infinite shield without even moving.

with riven i completed extreme aatrox on anima power 20ish. in a 3 man game with both my friends beeing dead on the floor the entire 2nd phase. the hardest for me were yasuo and illaoi, but i couldve been just unlucky on yuumi traits.

Meh, I did them on normal/hard and they were easy, but borderline impossible on Extreme. I mean outright no movement, not with chars that can move via ability. The issue is that I got to Reksai a couple of times (other bosses don't work due to forced movement), but I couldn't deal with her. And since it relies on Kogmaws spawning so far away AND them wandering off, I dont get many attempts in. So I kinda just let it go

@@FOMEYEET You cant move to stand on top of her and Briar on her own just walks next to you. But the real issue is the damage they deal, you get wiped out. Like a simple Reksai borrow hit takes away 50% of your HP, while with Yuumi quest and Belveth event XP/bonuses, you just take 1/4 at most
