Sad to watch this show starting with overly long and erratic introduction. All the symptoms of the great decline of Dexter are in evidence. His best American rhythm section was quitting - George Cables has left already, followed by Albert Dailey and soon after Rufus Reid would quit leaving only Eddie Gladden. Still there were some good moments to come but nothing like Dexter in his best years on Blue Note, Prestige and SteepleChase.
