This song never gets old! Come on Eileen Poor old Johnny Ray Sounded sad upon the radio Moved a million hearts in mono Our mothers cried Sang along, who'd blame them? You're grown (you're grown up) So grown (so grown up) Now I must say more than ever (Come on Eileen) Toora loora toora loo rye ay And we can sing just like our fathers Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything You in that dress, my thoughts I confess Verge on dirty, ah, come on Eileen Come on Eileen These people round here Wear beatdown eyes sunk in smoke dried face So resigned to what their fate is But not us (no never) No not us (no never) We are far too young and clever (Remember) Toora loora, toora loo rye ay Eileen, I'll hum this tune forever Come on Eileen, oh I swear (what he means) Ah come on let's, take off everything Pretty red dress, Eileen, tell him yes Ah come on let's, ah, come on Eileen That pretty red dress, Eileen, tell him yes Ah, come on let's, ah come on Eileen, please Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Now you have grown, and now you have shown Oh, Eileen Said Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Come on Eileen, too loo rye ay Now I must say more than ever Things round here change I said, toora loora, toora loo rye ay Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything You in that dress, my thoughts I confess Verge on dirty, ah come on Eileen Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything In that dress, oh my thoughts, I confess Well, they're dirty, come on Eileen Come on Eileen

When I was going to the clubs in the 90s it was r&b, hip hop, grunge, house.. and always this song.

I was born in 1980 so I remember a nice amount of the 80s. Great times

These guys remind me just a little bit of the band Chicago. Most people think that this is a one hit wonder, but they were big as heck in Britain for many years, pumping out several top 20 British hits.

This song is even more 80s than Flashdance in my opinion...it really takes me back...I love it

I recommend having a listen to the version of this song done by the ska band Save Ferris, it is a bop.

My mum and sister loved this - me not so much... Their earlier hit "Geno" is much more my thing

I've always liked this song, and yes, it was played at plenty of the HS dances I went to in the 80s. I'm glad you skipped the video though. 😆

Since you’re admitting that you watch other reactors, I’m curious to know which ones are your favourites?

Feelings ... you're not a souless automaton ... I thought you were animatronic. It's a super catchy folk flavoured work of genius that they were sadly never really able to follow up with another big follow-up.
