It is but it’s arrogance that wouldn’t allow him to win. Marino 2.0 He thought a pass was the play every play. Ever see him audible to a run in the red zone? No! And what was he known for? Int in the red zone. Also too attached to Jason Witten to use his outside receivers enough. Never developed the relationship with Dez or T.O. that Staubach did with Pearson or Aikman did with Irvin. Romo is very football smart but he was too arrogant in those two areas. If Witten was Gronkowski it would have worked but he was not athletic enough but Romo never figured out that Witten should not have been the focal point and also to use the run more to win. The Patriots are much more balanced the closer they got to the end zone and Romo was too into himself to see those things even though he tried to emulate Brady.
@jarodrochell13106 жыл бұрын
He used dez plenty. And in 2014 they were a very run heavy team. Its just a shame romo got hurt before he got a chance to change people perception of him, he was truly great that 2014 season, but they got screwed over in GB in the playoffs

Romo played backyard football and as a fan I seen Romo throw picks in big game situations... Denver vs Peyton, Redskins to get to the playoffs and list goes...on...Dak like most QBs expect receivers to run there routes and be where they supposed to be.. Dez could'nt do that he only run two routes it got exposed it is what it is.. he got away with it with Romo but in this league you gotta run routes all the great ran routes smh....Dak wanted him gone lol... ridiculous....Dak would give Dez the ball and he'd drop, or fumble.

It’s crazy looking at this retrospectively. I grew up w this team. Miss these guys and the memories they gave me. I remember meeting Dez at a Cowboys event when I was like 12 and I started crying lmao. These guys were legends to me.

I feel like Dak needed to give him some confidence, instead of saying it didn't matter when he was injured in 2016

That romo-Bryant connection was DEADLY. I’ve been a colts for almost 30 years, always been a 88 from 9 fan.. though. Thing of beauty, one of my buddies is a DIEHARD cowboys fan, what can I say 🤷♂️ Now, with that being said, the “sheriff” to 88 connection..... LEGENDARY 😜 #fortheshoe #lombardiHUNTING #AGAIN

I think he should've played wit the 90'$ Cowboys when I see him play. Don't call it a come back when you see him this year. I love you no matter what and still a die heart fan...
