Great video! I've personally fitted insulation material around the complete length of the outlet pipe from the intercooler to the intake manifold to keep the cooler air from the intercooler as cool as possible prior to it entering the engine. I've also done the same to the air filter box and the intake pipe to the turbo charger, again to prevent the heat of the engine bay heating up the air that's drawn into the turbo charger. It's likely had a small effect on the overall efficiency, but for sure, it's an improvement on the standard production layout. Once again, thank you for posting your video on upgrading the intercooler - very interesting.

Good ideas mate. I’ve used heat wrap on intake pipes and cooler pipes before and have seen cooler inlet temps. Not a fan of using on exhausts as on heated parts it causes them to sweat causing moisture build up. Really appreciate the support in you watching, and also the kind words. Thanks

Nice work on the intercooler! Looks the shit! Now I'm worried about running the stock one! No towing though but I will monitor those intake temps next time I'm climbing a big hill!

Thanks mate. Appreciate it. You won’t see temperature changers on your factory temperature garage, but if you get yourself some kind of cheap scanner that plugs into your OBD plug you’ll be able to view the data and see the temperature reading on there

Hey mate thanks heaps for watching. I asked my local dealer and they said it wouldn’t, only if I got a tune it would void some areas of engine warranty. Basically with warranty, if you modify or change something that has caused a component to fail, they could knock back the claim. So for example if you fit a lift kit and your engine blows up it would still be 100% covered. But if you do a lift kit and a suspension bush fails prematurely they could say it’s happened due to the lift. Just an example

You can’t feel an difference with the transmission cooler. It’s job is to keep the transmission temperatures down particularly when towing for extended periods of time. The biggest killer of transmissions is burnt oil caused by transmissions running hot, so it’s a wise investment

Surprisingly a bit. Feels like it had more torque. Pulling up hills it feels to accelerate much easier, plus another surprise was my fuel economy improved
