John bless your golden heart for interviewing in the correct manner: asking a question and then not interjecting once while the subject responds, just listening quietly until they finish speaking. Seriously thank you; this very simple rule of interviewing eludes most interviewers.
@th3orist4 жыл бұрын
i agree with this completely; however, sometimes there is also just limited time for interviews and depending on how the subject you interview is answering, you might need to guide them also a little bit back on track to focus more on the precise questions. so its not always bad to sort of 'interrupt', but it needs to be of course balanced and not appear like aggressive or pushy.
@HueyTheDoctor4 жыл бұрын
@@th3orist Well 24:55 might be an example of what you're saying, I dunno. It's certainly not an egregious interruption. I think sometimes people are finished speaking even if words are still tumbling out of their mouth, it's just human nature and a good interviewer knows the right kind of kung fu to handle that.

The game on the One X was wonderful and really showed how much love and care the people at the studio poured into it. The update for the Series X has pushed the game to a higher level of immersion. I immensely enjoyed your interview. He really shows what the best of the gaming industry has to offer. I look forward to whatever Moon's next project is.

If someone ever tells you that video games are not art - just show them Ori, any of them. It's been months since I completed all 3 games but I still get emotional just from hearing that beautiful soundtrack or seeing this beautiful creature Ori is. Fucking masterpieces!💚

The Ori games are simply stunning with poignant, simple stories that drive the message home. I bought both the Xbox and Switch versions physically here, why? Because these guys deserve it. They worked their asses off, it was a labor of love and it shows. Both Blind Forest and Will O' the Wisps are classics. And the detail rivals the best of Vanillaware to boot. I would love to see a third Ori game eventually but I can't blame these guys for wanting to branch out into a new direction, I hope they succeed and wish them the best of luck.

Yup, it all comes down to the devs and the optimization they put into it. Ubisoft has released 3 games in the past one month and they ALL have issues and bugs smh.

Yeah, Microsoft waited until literally the final hour in order to get new AMD technologies (most notably, the full RDNA2 suite), which is why many of the launch games that were multiplatform ran better on PS5. Devs had PS5 kits a year ago. Microsoft didn't finalize their build until a few months before the box came out.

Fantastic interview! That Gentleman is not only a brilliant game developer/ software engineer, but a true artist, who views what he does in artistic ways, wanting to produce the 'perfect' artistic statement in his games.... And how wonderfully refreshing is that today? So many companies; EA, Activision, 2K, etc, being just out to exploit new hardware at it's base level, and charge higher prices for said product, with no 'artistic' merit or value behind it.... The 'Ori' games have been visually gorgeous even on Switch and Xbox One; I don't have a new 'Series' Xbox to try them on, but I really appreciate all the artistic values, and personal values that have gone into those games; developers who actually CARE about the products that they release, and want it to be what they themselves would want/expect to experience. Thank you. :-)

@yugi yugi ? Uh I own all systems and I love 2D games and 3D. Take your fanboy comments somewhere else. Just because you can’t afford multiple systems and don’t have the ability to play all the games available does not mean you have to take out your insecurities on others.
@ryanswift36514 жыл бұрын
You talk about having a functioning brain when you clearly don't have one yourself because of your blatant fanboyism for a plastic box
@Hazmatt360004 жыл бұрын
@yugi yugi both consoles have their issues and their advantages and when you own both you look at the good and the bad with a more objective view. It’s absolutely true right now that either of the systems can more than handle what’s currently on them without the flaws that in current cross platform games. But it takes time and resources for developers to get the games functioning at the level they really can. And until games come out that are not cross generation, we will not see or know what each system is really capable of doing. You can read up on problems and time constraints that developers are having learning some of the new structures of the next gen hardware when trying to maximize their potential while only having dev kits for a short time and trying to release across so many platforms and generations. Only a fool would blame the consoles on either side when we both know that these new consoles can both do so much more this early in their life cycles. But fanboys like you make it seem like one system or another has already won some kind of decisive victory already. And honestly just because I can tell your a Sony fanboy I’ll leave you with this. Company’s success is based on money made and Microsoft makes billions more than Sony and always will. It’s not a console war it’s a money making war for business. Microsoft never has it will need to be the one selling the most consoles to be the better company. Why don’t you stop worrying about what some business is doing and focus on being a gamer. Treat all gamers and games with respect so we can enjoy the hobby together. I’d like to think if we met in real life we would be able to talk of our love of the games and not our hate of a console. It’s just a box that plays games. It’s not important.
