Throughout 2024 I went through a big fight with cancer. Had I not had the cash to pay for my operation and medical expenses, had I had to rely on the public health system, I would not be alive today sitting down to Christmas lunch. If you have a serious health issue and are relying on the Australian public health system. I suggest getting your affairs in order pronto. It’s not a health system it’s a death sentence.

Tony is spot on, most people I talk with have no money, there’s only a few I know,. To be among Australia's wealthiest 1% required a net worth of at least USD$4.76 million (roughly AUD$7.27 million based on average conversion rates ) $7.27 million was equivalent to at the time: 2024 , that’s assets not available access disposable liquidity funds, shares, gold, funds in the bank ect.

Much appreciated thanks!! Hard work, research and staying disciplined have helped. Obviously the mental health benefits are less obvious to viewers, but I feel fantastic and motivated.

I gave up the alcohol New Year’s Eve 2000. Best decision ever. My belly shrunk and my wallet got fat. I started stacking gold a decade ago and swapped it out for small cap explorers and producers when gold hit $3000 last year (second best decision) Happy Christmas guys.

Great to hear. I'm noticing a nice reduction in peer group pressure from those who now know how I go about things. Mental and physical health the key in dealing with the more speculative aspects of markets.

When you do a google search it says that the top 10% of Australian households have a net worth of around 6-7 million How skewed would this be from the billionaires ? Don’t know what the mean average wealth for the top 10% is and the other percentiles ?

Tony. Silver Mines Limited in NSW has the largest under development silver deposit in Australia and one of the largest in the world & government approval.

Hopefully they reclaim their mantle as the silver market barometer and both Maronan and Red Metal perform more towards their potential and strategic value.

Whilst your commentator Is correct on bat shit crazy I'm living in the bush in North Eastern Victoria with a limited income and I'm not in front on all payments I'm am in front of my mortgage because I brought sensibly in 2018 for under a 100,000. I can only imagine the city dwellers distress regards to paying their bills. Good night Merry Xmas

It takes decades to realise that being "cash" poor and chasing materialistic dreams isn't the way to live. Something I can now instill on my kids and anyone who will listen.

Are you happy/content though? Won't take much to tip a large % into nequity so being as close to debt free is key. Plenty of time to smash it out of the park for you, but obviously relative to your risk profile.

@@TonyLocantroFinance Thanks Tony, I am debt Free, I put away quite a bit into gold and silver, the rest savings. And I stay healthy by eating well, not quite keto, just following the rules by Robert Lustig, he has a great book called metabolical, he explains all the diets and the science as to why they work. Just feel very behind in my income, i'm saving away pennies, while it feels like everyone else is putting away dollars. I know 20-30 year olds that are saving 3-4 times as much as me living with their parents and getting into the housing market while I battle for every dollar. I'll be fine, but it just sucks been near the back and everyone else running past you.

S&P 500 vs gold , and ETF’s , S&P 500 will always outperform gold over long term , simply go to any chart , gold ETF’s underperforming on average, picking gold mining companies is like betting at the races, most profit margins once cost come out are a very thin gamble…

Except anyone to like, I don’t come here for likes , I come here to help, there’s a massive difference between a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and that’s the difference… anyone that can save just a little can build great wealth if it done right. I completely disagree with what our Australian government has done to this great country
