So TVXQ was a 5-member group at debut 2003 until JYJ left the group in 2010 following an extensive legal battle and they’ve been even more successful as a duo since. Changmin does his signature high note here that you appreciated, it totally is a vocal flex and absolutely deserved. TVXQ were a 5 member group but have been a duo since around 2009/2010. Yunho U-know is the leader and main dancer. Obviously Changmin is the main vocalist and maknae. Both of their solo works are truly incredible I would highly recommend you to check out some of it. Yunho is also an actor so the smirk is very much from his acting capabilities. He created a literal short movie for his album vuja de that came out a few months ago. Yunho is called Mr. Passionate in SM and TVXQ are highly respected and have been around since 2003.

Btw the first one hight note at the end was Yunho 🔥 ❤ about Dong Bang Shin Ki (aka TVXQ!) : The former members left the group in 2010 definitely, but two of them (Yunho and Changmin) rebuilt the group since 2011 , was epic, they against the opposition... I love every song by them, but my favs are Catch Me and Wrong Number. They debut in 2003 with 5 member , I won't share much about the drama & will only get down to the point . 3 member feel like they r treated like a slave & they want more for themself . So 3 member left & make a new group & the Yunho + Changmin stay in TVXQ since 2010 as a 2 member until today

I'm so glad you finally discovered TVXQ! Both U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin are just purely amazing and I am so ready for this album! 20th year and still slaying! I really think you should check the album reality! It's U‐Know's last release! There is also Noir, his 2nd mini album with the song Thank U which has an amazing MV! Always love your reaction, and thank you for reacting TVXQ. The group started with 5 members and gain huge popularity over Asia, after that 3 of them left the group with legal battle against SM around 2009 (which they won over SM and got banned from public TV show by SM since they left). So now TVXQ are doing the duo work for over decade in Korea and Japan. As you can break down a lot of storyline (which I really can't do lol), I think you would love to check out Yunho's solo work which he presents it as a short film for his MV. (Vuja de - the recent one, and Thank U) You can also check out the past days of them as 5 members as well, their songs are always on point.

The other 3 formed a subgroup called JYJ and though that's since ceased both Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu both have solo careers and their own studios. Won't get into the split and lawsuit but tons of good music in both directions over the years.

It's absolutely amazing how Yunho and Max grew and became way better. Loosing their three main vocalists (even tho Max always did highnotes, Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu were main) only made Yunho and Changmin push themselves to become better, and now after 20 years / 9 since they came back as a duo, they only keep improving, honestly amazing. This was such a wonderful reaction! I loved your attention to the details. Many people have suggested Yunho and Changmin's solo projects, which I definitely agree with, but if you ever want to check out any of their past songs as TVXQ some staples are: Spellbound (my favorite song and mv ever---nearly one uninterrupted shot of insane choreo), Something, Chance of Love, and Love Line. Keep Your Head Down was their first song back as a duo in 2011, and Catch Me is also a big duo favorite among fans. Even if you check these out on your own time, I'm sure you'll love them! Both Yunho and Changmin were hosts on Kingdom. Yunho was on the first handful of episodes but was unable to continue with the rest of the show, which is why most people mainly remember Changmin as the host. But TVXQ, when they are a duo group is my favorite. And Yunho and Changmin's solos are great too.

TVXQ's "Down" is their lead track from their 9th full-length Korean album, 20&2 -- 20 years and still 2 members strong -- which is also a celebration of their 20th anniversary this year. If you think this MV was good, you should check out their MAMA performance this year where they showcased "Down" even before the MV was released. They also had an epic collaboration stage with SM's newest boy group RIIZE, where they performed TVXQ's iconic song "Rising Sun." TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it's no surprise that TVXQ are outstanding vocalists. Being some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry is what we have come to expect from all of SM's artists and groups. That's just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is red -- which is why you see one of the primary colors in most of TVXQ's MVs is red -- and when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. Here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. (Up until recently, JYJ was still a group and they still produced music, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- on less than ideal terms, it has made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music. So the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as singers now.) However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. The day after Christmas will be TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki's 20th anniversary, and even now as a duo they are so talented that they have the vocal range to cover all the parts of a song between the two of them, including rap. Changmin (the youngest member) was 15 and U-Know was 17 years old when they debuted, so even though they are one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is only 35 and U-Know is 37. TVXQ is SM's most senior group that is still active, but U-Know and Changmin are still younger than, or the same age as, many of the members of the legendary groups who came after them within their generation. They are best friends with Super Junior and they pretty much all grew up together. Changmin is also best friends with Minho from SHINee. And Xiumin from EXO says Changmin was one of the reason why he auditioned for SM because he wanted to meet Changmin and become like him. As you heard, Changmin is known for his powerful high notes -- even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO -- he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. It wouldn't be a TVXQ/Changmin song if we didn't get to hear at least one unbelievable high note from him. (Fun fact: Changmin got married in 2020 and he became a father to a boy last year.) U-Know is known for his dancing and his passion for dancing and singing. He is also the rapper of the group. (U-Know truly loves what he does and doesn't hide it. He will tell you he is proud of his accomplishments and he is proud of his work. His passion is kind of a running joke within the industry. It's one of the things he is most known for.) The funny thing is personality-wise, Changmin and U-Know are complete opposites in almost every way. Changmin is quiet, calm and level headed and prefers to be alone; and U-Know is loud, high energy, intense and prefers to be with a group of people. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. And like SHINee and BoA, etc., they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are one of SM Entertainment's top selling groups, easily selling out concert tours around the world.
