@@thancan1317 Yes..every night @ 9 used to be death announcement. Mr Ishri Singh..the man with a great voice..he died in NY awhile back. On Sundays around 1 or 2 it use to be all they wedding house songs on those big Radio..when your neighbour put it.on..they whole St.can hear the songs. Good ole days , eh. I'm from Berbice.

Real nice video RNG. Good to see you guys back in the kitchen. Forsure your channel has been one of the first showcasing Guyana's food along with Jehan Powell. All your videos I have seen from the beginning to now and have enjoyed them all. I see Guyana through your eyes and see the changes, but still recognise many of the places. Markets and the West Coast shoreline is still very much the same 😄. Molly .... when I wash rice and dhall here in Canada I use a fine mesh strainer. It's faster and less mess. Then I let it rest in the same kind of shiny tin bowl you were using. When the water is hot, I just pick up the strainer with the rice and split peas and put it into the pot. You are still a really good cook and I was pleased just to see your hands doing all the work again just like in the beginning of the video's years ago. I believe you have cooked every dish Guyana has to offer. Cheers.

Did the potato roti already, the Piaj though ? I had Watrash as a kid. Once my Dad nd his buddies caught one in the backdam and they shared the meat. We made curry, and as I remember it was vert good. Don't know if I will try that now though 😄

@@RealNiceGuyana LOL. The first time I had one of them, I can't remember now if it was watrash or labba but the fat in it didn't agree with my young stomach although it tasted good, I threw up. I was a kid then. I had labba when I was older and it stayed down, lol. It tasted good too. Don't forget Nenwah, fry with shrimp and tomatoes - yummy.
