It's a different soup. I think its the same dal soup but in Essequibo where cousin Sandra is they must be calling it dal plantain. The only difference is geerah other than that it's the famous Guyanaese dal soup. It's looking soooooo fulling. Rich and vibrant, nice texture and I really like how much pepper you have added gal. I didn't know about this dish until now. Looks absolutely delicious. I'm glad that you mentioned the coconut milk. I'll try it with the milk. Would it be okay to add some cornmeal to the dumpling mix? It cold over here these pass few days. Thanksgiving day is fast approaching and it's usually a cold day. Will see what happens, but keep the snow up north.❄😉🙂😄😃😁😆

Sis you gotta try this dish, I know you will enjoy it. Yes, you can add the coconut milk and the cornmeal dumplings 🥟. You can also add any ingredients you will enjoy it with. Let me know how the coconut milk version works ✌️❤️
