I tried this cake yesterday. It all depends on how much we caramelize the sugar. The more we caramelize the more the cake become bitter, in that case we need extra sugar to give sweetness to the cake. So I powder the rest of sugar & add it with maida & the cake came out awesome. Nb: Sugar shouldn't get over caramelize.

I kninda messed it up. It would have been nice if the measurements were mentioned and amount of sugar to be caramalised as well. I hope you can specify it in details atleast

I made this cake as well. The icing is required else the cake is less sweet. On the first day the cake is soft but as the days go by the cake became hard. I don’t know why.

Haseena Hamsa 1 cup = 200 gms. But here you can take any cup, in that case you should measure every thing (fruits, sugar, refined flour etc) in the same cup. That's it.
