Probably to avoid competing with the other line. It's more than the NBA in og suit. It's also NBA's belt in og colors. He's also missing cheek lines. There has to be some story behind this though.

Are you going to buy the variant (blue) version of the detective comics 1000 Batman and the animated series batman? I think there hitting stores fairly soon in the US but god knows when we are going to get them here in the UK.

Indiana. Here, Target’s street date to put these out was January 12, today. Amazon.com has them for pre-order with a January 17 release date. I’m sure in two weeks these will be absolutely everywhere.

The grapple is the BTAS grapple gun. The grapple in TNBA was black all over and sleeker with a more bat like shape

Nice collection but at 7 inches McFarlane made sure this line was DOA as far as I’m concerned 😩. Why continue the branding and packaging style if its a completely different scale? I was sick of Mattel but I had little hope when I heard McFarlane was taking over. I knew they would end up doing something stupid with this line.

Ahhhhh when NECA was doing those DC Toys R Us Exclusive figures at 7 Inched, ain’t nobody was complaining... hell, all of Hasbro’s 6 inch scale lines are arbitrarily shorter or taller from one another.....

I like marvel legends just fine, and they have such an expansive universe that it is awesome. Mattel was never the traditional 6 inch scale, they were always 6.5 or 6.7 inches, at least now our DC figures will be the same scale from all companies.

7:28 Didn't the New Batman Adventures grapple gun look more like a bat? This looks a lot more like the original TAS version, just in black with a different grapple head.

@@dHuntersReviews The base figure is very TNBA/JL/JLU, but the grapple gun is more TAS. The TNBA grapple gun looks more like a bat (the sides of the handle looked like wings and the grapple head had two prongs, like the ears of a bat).

Very strange decision to issue a hybrid figure IMO & proportions look off too with the very top heavy upper & thin legs. Doubt it stands on its own too easily with those type of proportions. DCC issues look much better & more accurate to the series' IMO. No interest at all in picking up these McFarlane animated series issues from what I saw on pegs in Walmart this AM (Batman, Superman & Green Lantern). Thanks for the detail review & comparables.

@@dHuntersReviews this faulty assertion is like saying it would be okay if hasbro made mandolorian figs 7" scale with weird proportions and styling and slapped a black series label on them. They tried that with 'hyper real' and how did it go, nobody I know owns any. Hasbro should have dc so that the weirdo that does can't stick us with his controversial choices and give us the finger with a take it or leave it attitude.

I think McFarlane should have stuck to his spawn figs and improved those because those were garbage, all kinda qc issues and the spawn action figures were really statues because they couldn’t move and were super fragile atleast these don’t seem too fragile but definite pass for me great reviews though!!
