A long way journey for Dipor elephant from logging to riding. She had a both broken front leg. Now She is roaming free and has made many new friends in the last home no work anymore at Elephant Nature Park Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.

great vid, super guy narrating it and the other volunteers. what I really admire is how Darrick, Lek's husband, is so behind the scenes in so many of these vids. He is so modest and unassuming. Lek is of course extremely humble but she is the center of all of this and the face, internationally, of this foundation, rightly so. But her husband is so great, always there, meaningfully supporting Lek and the entire enterprise with hardly an acknowledgment. I was watching a dozen of these vids and kept wondering, why is that "volunteer" always there in the background? Oh, her husband, got it!

It must have been so strange for her to even get up on that van, then to travel for days through traffic. But she ate, she wanted affection... What was she thinking about, where she was going? Whatever it was, that it was going to better than what she came from? Or she took it in stride, whatever it was going to be? I truly love elephants, these dignified, amazing animals. I'm going to look into volunteering at this organisation, or donating at least.

i could watch these rescue vids all day. everything about the story is so good, i really like the way this one was told from a voluteers perspective, and it is always a joy to see lek and darrik doing this part of their job. it is so great to know she is going to elephant park and would love to see a follow up vid about her making friends and swimming. i can't get enough.

fairybits I know and those grudges should be there to! Humans give animals every reason to hate them yet every animal gives another person affection some after the worse forms of abuse.

Not all are forgiving. They will not forgive a person that has abused them. They always remember that person and some eventually get justice against the individual.

I don't understand the cruelty of people who would force an elephant to work with a broken foot and dislocated hip. They must think that animals don't have feelings, or else all they care about is the money they can make from the elephant doing the work that humans should be doing. And on top of that, she must have been half starved, judging by the amount of food she ate. I'm so happy that she was rescued and given a proper home with people who truly love her.

another awesome excellent rescue to see all these dedicated ppl and how much strenght they put down and all the effort their passion for animals is amazing all i wish and want for xtmas is to donate to charity i already have food on the table a roof over my head and material things that i dont need these animals have NOTHING thats why my christmas gift and all i wish and want for xmas is to donate and my biggest wish is ofc to save and release all animals held in captivity and all other suffering animals out there will be FREE from pain and suffering thats all i could ask for at least i can help them even if its not that much but together we can all help them out a small amount is enough rather than nothing at all

I hope and wish due to the covid-19 situation that all tourist tracking camps and kogging camps wil turn into sanctuaries. When tourists are allowed to travel and see elephants and care for them instead of riding on their backs, but serve these elephants, that would be fantastic. Let's do this, nòw we have the time ànd oportunity to change this planet forgood in a place where man and animals live together peacefully next and with eachother. Let's do this. 🌎🌍🌏🤲
