The US doesn’t dump trash in the ocean, and I doubt European countries do either. But, the third world countries do. All of the pictures that came out some years ago, about the supposed garbage island in the Pacific, were all taken at the mouths of Asian rivers. It’s a hoax, and so is recycling. Barely anything we recycle actually gets recycled. I think it’s all about control, and so is the climate agenda. One thing, though, that must be stopped is fisherman leaving their nets in the ocean. That’s what trapped this whale.

Of course it's somehow joy and salvation but at least the tail slapping at the end is definitly a form of communication. Whales usually communicate with each other acoustically, but also by fin-slapping the surface,particularly in the event of danger or bad weather and rough and noisy seas. _Breaching_ is suggested to be "honest signalling", signing that you are physically fit - or all free. Looks like scientists need more emotional intelligence, because the small child understands a message in a few minutes for which scientists needed decades and large amount of studies. Sometimes this breaching/jumping out of the water was also observed right after exceptionally long dives. It could be the whale: *_"I'm back."_* But to shame the scientists completely, this clever child is probably even right that the whale communicated with _them._ The noise of a lobtail or breach travels much less well than that of a vocal call. Since the sea isn't rough and noisy and there are no other whales around, but the whale chose this form of communication, only the humans are left, her saviors, with whom the whale wanted to "talk". PS: In addition, it must have been very important for the whale to do so, because this breaching costs a lot of energy.

@@elduderino7767 As usual.. Someone always comes along and makes absolute statements on a topic that is still very under-researched. Of course we can observe behavioural routines and come to the most probable scenario based on those results, but we should also always take into consideration how limited our knowledge is, and that the only way we can expand our understandings, is by collecting data to cross-correlate, and to use that data as an educated estimate, not a concrete fact. I'm not saying that this whale was showing appreciation, but to assume that it doesn't have the capacity to adapt it's usual behaviour to a very unusual scenario, would be to place a brick wall around our understanding of these very mysterious creatures. Intelligent creatures that are providing more and more new and revealing information within studies that lead to scientific breakthroughs and broader understandings in general, the more time moves forward, as field experts and technology become more precise at analyzing. The whale was most likely communicating with its pod, like you said, but my issue is with your outright denial of it having the potential to be another, far less observed, type of interaction. Especially when we've seen that whales and dolphins in particular, are capable of advanced interaction with humans and other animals, and have done so countless times, as captured on recorded footage.

You know, this is one of the things very interesting about humans. They dont care if animals are murdered inhumanely for meat, because they just buy it portioned in store. But when you see an animal in wild suffering, people are willing to risk their lives to save it, no matter what. People are good in their heart, but they are ignorant and that is what makes us the worst. We have the intelligence to make the world better, yet we only make it worse because of our ignorancy.

@@Tesoro1996 i completely understand your point even though i am not veg(an)...i have never asked a vegan this question and dont mean to offend whether or not you are, but what do vegans think about the animals killing other animals for food (the food chain) which we are apart of...is it just that we overdo it so badly by butchering so manu innocent animals or are we not considered to be apart of the chain in vegans eyes and therefore should never eat meat
@Tesoro19964 жыл бұрын
@@danecker8895 I am not vegan either, I just understand their point. I'm not saying I am any better than other carnivores, I just know where problem lies. It's not in people eating meat, its because of mass meat productions that treat animals inhumanely for maximum efficiency. We could do better than that. Meat doesn't have to be our everyday meal. I think, if we had less meat to buy, we would be forced to eat more vegetables and meatless meals, which would eventually improve our health and decrease overweight. I see all the points vegans do, but it won't make me stop eating meat.

@@danecker8895 and to answer your question, we, of course, are part of the food chain. We are on top of it because of our intelligence and technology. There are animals and people that need help everywhere, or just ourselves. Cut someone free from a seatbelt after a crash, a dog or cat may be entwined and strangling in a tree through their leash, a cow or sheep may be stuck in a fence. Tools are security, freedom and I dare say a duty for the wise mind. The same with guns [though they must be handled and stored responsibly like here in Europe to not cause more harm than good]. I've always carried a very small linerlock knife, we're not allowed anything else - though I often pack a multitool on travels as it's for reasonable use. I've helped a lot of people and yet they don't learn from it, even though I provided them the tool. In addition I have in my pockets a slender nail for poking etc, a paper clip for making new tools or fixing broken ones and a sturdy cord with a simple hook in one end and a magnet in the other for reaching further or tying up anything. Carry tools, be practical and stay safe! :]

Humanity at its finest. THANK YOU! A full team effort from start to finish - being at the right place at the right time with the right gear, snorkeling to assess the entanglement, cutting and gathering of the netting balancing quickness and care, paddling for correct positioning, and filming which allowed the rest of the world to share in these magical moments. I love how she performed such a grand and lengthy show as to leave absolutely zero doubt that you had removed every single piece of netting and freed her. I was overcome with emotion and sobbed. Happy tears. So proud of you all. Take care.

We're sitting here all psyched over what some of our fellow humen did 12 years ago, but I will bet you that the whale is still telling this story to all of his friends and they get just as psyched as us every time... :)

Stop yelling!
@NineToes195 жыл бұрын
Giacomo Ferrario.....glad you showed class with your yelling and cussing and name calling. On one hand I thank you for your service. On the other hand you’re a liberal. Liberals talk about some things trump says, which I agree is big time wrong, but none of you talk about his policies. Wall? Don’t go there.....I don’t agree either. Obama had his time. When HIS policies were criticized we were called racists. DOH! One doesn’t have anything to do with the other. Also, Hillary would have already attacked Russia and North Korea PLUS removed ALL borders causing Mexico to empty plus ruined businesses with regulations and rules/laws that would strangle businesses, and health care that would be 50$ a month with deductibles of 6000+ per year making health insurance useless, even to the poor and add $15 hr and the price of ALL goods and services would go thru the roof, therefore, not helping the people dems CLAIM to do it for. Democratic policies will be the end of this country. Mark my words. Oh yeah........stick to the TOPIC. THAT WAS AN AMZING FEAT BY AMAZING PEOPLE!!! 🖕 What makes it MORE amazing is how many sea creatures die because we aren’t always there. Your yelling, cussing and name calling, no matter who you’re talking about, does NOTHING for humankind. These people showed love and compassion and did something about it. Your hatred/hate-speech is just anger. I am THROUGH wasting my time with you. 🤬👎☠️

I don't live near the ocean, but here is one thing I learned today. When you go out on a boat in the ocean, carry at least one knife or scizsors for every person on board, and snorkling gear too.
@arlenbell43763 ай бұрын
Encountering a situation like this when I used to SCUBA always concerned me as a lot of dive locations do not allow the carrying of knives so I kept a pair of EMT sissors in a BC pocket. Such a wonderful save and experience for all.
@M0butu3 ай бұрын
@@arlenbell4376Skip the knife or scissors. Go for a wire or bolt cutter. Very useful on board, but unlikely to be abused to harm sealife, especially shellfish I presume.

This is an incredibly beautiful story. It reminds me when growing up on Long Island and how my brother and I rescued a blue jay which had a broken wing and was dying in the woods. We brought the bird into our home and my older brother somehow fixed the wing and made a home-made sling. We cared and fed the bird for a two-week period until the bird was able to fly again. Our parents told us to free the bird when it was strong enough and after we did this, it came back to visit.
