@@elduderino7767 As usual.. Someone always comes along and makes absolute statements on a topic that is still very under-researched. Of course we can observe behavioural routines and come to the most probable scenario based on those results, but we should also always take into consideration how limited our knowledge is, and that the only way we can expand our understandings, is by collecting data to cross-correlate, and to use that data as an educated estimate, not a concrete fact. I'm not saying that this whale was showing appreciation, but to assume that it doesn't have the capacity to adapt it's usual behaviour to a very unusual scenario, would be to place a brick wall around our understanding of these very mysterious creatures. Intelligent creatures that are providing more and more new and revealing information within studies that lead to scientific breakthroughs and broader understandings in general, the more time moves forward, as field experts and technology become more precise at analyzing. The whale was most likely communicating with its pod, like you said, but my issue is with your outright denial of it having the potential to be another, far less observed, type of interaction. Especially when we've seen that whales and dolphins in particular, are capable of advanced interaction with humans and other animals, and have done so countless times, as captured on recorded footage.

Dr.M.Gunasekar Muthusamy God bless? Huh? Why would your god create a place where this would happen in the first place? You realise that if these people weren’t out in the water at this exact time, and also didn’t care about helping this whale, that it would most likely have died a slow death. It’s great that these people did this thing, but to say god bless?? Are you serious? By the way I’m taking the assumption that your god is all powerful, all knowing, all kind, and created the whole situation we are in. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong.

You know, this is one of the things very interesting about humans. They dont care if animals are murdered inhumanely for meat, because they just buy it portioned in store. But when you see an animal in wild suffering, people are willing to risk their lives to save it, no matter what. People are good in their heart, but they are ignorant and that is what makes us the worst. We have the intelligence to make the world better, yet we only make it worse because of our ignorancy.

@@Tesoro1996 i completely understand your point even though i am not veg(an)...i have never asked a vegan this question and dont mean to offend whether or not you are, but what do vegans think about the animals killing other animals for food (the food chain) which we are apart of...is it just that we overdo it so badly by butchering so manu innocent animals or are we not considered to be apart of the chain in vegans eyes and therefore should never eat meat
@Tesoro1996
@Tesoro1996 4 жыл бұрын
@@danecker8895 I am not vegan either, I just understand their point. I'm not saying I am any better than other carnivores, I just know where problem lies. It's not in people eating meat, its because of mass meat productions that treat animals inhumanely for maximum efficiency. We could do better than that. Meat doesn't have to be our everyday meal. I think, if we had less meat to buy, we would be forced to eat more vegetables and meatless meals, which would eventually improve our health and decrease overweight. I see all the points vegans do, but it won't make me stop eating meat.

@@danecker8895 and to answer your question, we, of course, are part of the food chain. We are on top of it because of our intelligence and technology. But yes, we deffinitely produce more than we need, every year hundreds of thousands ton of food are going to waste. If we only produced what we really need, the world wouldn't be so fucked up.

They constantly go around telling everyone that their religion doesn’t exist, but if you actually sat down and talked to one and asked them “what happens after death” they would tell you, “Uhhh… well… I actually don’t know, I’ve never died before so I would even know…” Which means that they’re completely clueless as to what happens to a living person once they die. Yet they feel the need to go around telling everyone else that their religion doesn’t exist when they’re clueless in the first place. If you can’t even explain/ don’t even know what happens to a person’s life after death, how are you gonna tell me that I’m wrong when you’re clueless to begin with. Idiots.

Summer Sunny But the arrogance of religions claiming to have all the answers is the better path to choose than the atheistic stance of skepticism? At lease science is trying to find the answers. Religions do nothing but pollute and dilute rational/natural thinking and reasoning. Meanwhile robbing vulnerable people of their money through tithe, threatening with eternal damnation, holding a golden carrot on a stick (a glorious afterlife) and keeping our species in the bronze era of morality. Don't be angry when people call you out on your sheepish mentality. Read a book besides your holy book of choice, stop worshiping death, and discover the beauty of our universe, no gods required!

When I was 7 years old, my mom woke me up because she had found a small bird stuck in the pool's drain. I spent hours caring over the bird as it was in bad condition. I kept it dry, feed and warm. 5 hours later, it flew away effortlessly. One thing it did though surprised me. It flew at reachable distance. I got up to go to it and it stayed put letting me pet it which I did for 10 minutes or so. I remember being sad to let it go but I knew it was the best thing to do. I decided to go back in the house and see if it would still be there when I would come back out. As expected, the bird was gone. In your experience, just like mine, albeit being extremely different, the animal showed it's gratitude in it's own way. Amazing story and I am very happy you decided to share it with the world. Good job!

+shitzngiggles i dunno, but I read other comments saying it was too melodramatic, and the whales wasn't showing apreciation but in reality, whales think too, feel too, whales are ALIVE. all the other animals are very similar to us. All animals feel what we feel.

+shitzngiggles It's a really amazing video, it just goes to show that these creatures are very much alive as we are, and that we must respect life and be thankful, even to plant base life, regardless of harsh evolutionary competition. Thumbs down because the little good humans do for animals, we do 100,000,000 folds worse on the other spectrum.

This cooperative team worked together with just a small tool but spirited in ways we have yet to learn as humans. We are all stifling our whaleful joys in favor of trashing each other. How to cite corruption and calling attention to another's weakness and flaws in a way that invites thoughtful consideration instead of retaliation????

If you ask me those thumbs downs are actually "thumbs up's!" In reality people who click dislike love this video-more then people who clicks like. =) They're going that extra-mile to pretend they don't but in reality they watch this video 10 times a day! For example it's like that person who CONSTANTLY talks about a celebrity over and over..Constantly watching their videos, looking for things to point out and going to their shows to be jerks..It's envy! :P

I've seen this video so many times, and I love it every time I watch it. In fact my last comment on this video shows that I made it 10 years ago. That's crazy. You know, if the video had stopped right after they cut the whale free, and the whale just disappeared, this video would've still been incredible. But the obvious joy that the whale was showing when it was free, was simply next level. I love tears of happiness.
