Much relief after going through this stuff kzbin.infoUgkx-ip-9JdKgYMhubLnEjt3OXJkFyS4D2Jd Stress no doubt affects my blood sugar levels. Taking a walk usually help bring them down. Eating sweets is not my favorite, but if i take a large portion of them, my blood sugar level rises high. I think it's the high concentration of the glucose flowing into the bloodstream all at once. This is a lesson worth taking note of. This is a great material to learn from.

I really appreciate this really helpful video. I have a concern… One of my students is always high. I’m running behind her all day checking in with her. She is a 7th grader and has a pump but her BS is off the chain. Of course I’ve contacted her physician’s office before and they’ve changed some stuff but I’m really concerned about this child. Her mother coordinates her care with me. She’ll let me know every time when student is high and she and I both do the calculations to see how much insulin she needs to correct this. Can you give me any advice

Type 1 is supposedly much easier to manage with a keto diet - helps keep the blood sugar way more stable, and results in a healthier A1C.

It's ironic you show a girl eating milk and pizza. Why don't you folks talk openly about the benefits of a plant-based diet? If I'm wrong, let me know please. The school lunch has been hijacked by the big food corporations. It's time to stop talking and fix things for these kids.

Yes. Pizza is right off the menu for me as a type 2 diabetic. I small slice puts glucose through the roof! I never eat it. Ever!

vegetarian and vegan based diets are normally high in carbs. Its also very hard and expensive to maintain them to keep the right amount of nutrients let alone trying to make them low carb. As a type 1 im not supposed to have over 100 carbs per meal. If the carbs are still under 100 then the amount of insulin will still be higher then if i kept with my already planned diet. Not to mention ALOT of people need extra nutrients and proteins because of the immunocompromised aspects diabetes has, which gets harder with plant based diets. thats just diabetes, kid are already having to pay for lunched when most cant even afford in the first place, the prices would go up so high if everything was plant based. Not to mention people with nutrient problems, people with picky food tastes, people who are allergic to alot of foods and nuts, and more. It takes awhile to adjust to these diets, and they take ALOT of time to prepare and obtain these foods, in which schools that serve THOUSANDS do not have. This applies to not only school children, but to most people. you can also ya know, bring a lunch. not mention almost all schools have vegan options, and alot of places will make adjustments if you ask. so although it may fit some, it wont fit a very large population, and kids need to learn how to adjust since there are situations where they HAVE to eat somthing thats not plant based, ignoring the situation wont let them learn.

For diabetes, sweetened soy milk and dairy free cheese substitute wouldn’t be better. Besides, they’re just showing a typical school lunch meal. It’s not like they’re endorsing it.
