When doctors advise diet plans, they suggest that diabetic patients eat more vegetables, but there are some vegetables that diabetes or sugar patients should not consume.
These vegetables are given below in detail.
POTATOES:- This carbohydrate-rich vegetable can hike sugar levels rapidly. Potatoes have a 60-90 glycemic index depending upon how you eat, so that avoid eating is the better option.
SWEET_POTATOES:- It has a very high sugar content and tastes sweet also, it can increase blood sugar levels quickly that’s why sweet potatoes shouldn’t consume by diabetic patients.
VEGETABLE JUICES:- These days, people go out walking or exercising in parks, and they drink vegetable juice after that exercise, Juices have almost no fibre content and are high in sugar because of carrots, and beetroot mixed in it. That's why avoid drinking vegetable juices.
SWEET_CORN:- It is delicious and sweet in taste because of sugar & carbohydrate content and its glycemic index is very high. Because of all these reasons, avoid eating sweet corn.
YAM (Ratalu):- It is resemblance to sweet potato, it also has high carbs & sugar content. Yam should not be consumed by diabetic patients in any form.
BOILED CARROTS:- Diabetes patients can eat carrots as a salad but not too much, carrot juices and boiled carrots have very high sugar levels & less fiber which can hike blood sugar quickly that’s why it is recommended to avoid it.
