Hemoglobin A1c is an important test to diagnose diabetes mellitus. Hemoglobin is a molecule in the blood which has iron and its main role is to provide oxygen to cells of the body. However, when the sugar levels are high, the glucose attaches itself to the hemoglobin molecule.
In the hemoglobin A1c test, we find out how much percentage of hemoglobin is attached with the glucose.
If the test result is below 5.7% - it means that patient does not have diabetes
If the test result is between 5.7 and 6.4% - it means that patient is borderline diabetes (at risk of diabetes)
If the test result is above 6.4% - it means that patient is a diabetic.

Aoa,Is HbA1C the best test to diagnose Diabetes mellitus? What is the authenticity of fasting or random blood glucose in the diagnosis of Diabetes mellitus?

Dr sab salaam,, Dr sab I have question, Dr during the night while I am sleeping suddenly I get up and get Scary and the heart beat is very high and then get fever and then I do not get sleep back ,, what is the cause of this??? Is this matter related to vitamins or something else. Please I need your answer 🙏🙏🙏🙏
