What a brilliant and comprehensive guide Llama. Love it. I learned smth new, about the Super Uniques "stealing" unique mob slots. I have 2 important things to add: 1) People often forget that past 25, a penalty for being below monster level still exists. It does, and it's why Diablo and Nihlathak gave more XP than Baal when you were levelling to 99. 2) The >70 "penalty" was only added for compatibility, to slow down levelling in patch 1.10. In the ideal world they would just increase the amount of XP for those levels to make everything clear and consistent without unnecessary multipliers; but because characters from before need to not break, they couldn't do it, thus the "penalty" instead.

2 pro types i would like to add 1: I would suggest to keep the gidbinn quest and farm the boss pack over and over again while farming the flayer jungle. 2: Doing the ancients at 20 with any caster, kill baal then making cow runs 21 to 25-27.

Online, it's just logistically easier to Baal run to 95/96. Ideally you are doing TZ in a full P8 game and doing the TZ solo, but EVERYONE is also trying to do that. So it's hard. But its easy to host Baal and fill up P8 games and run Baal in 95/96. When the TZ is bad, its easier to do Baal. 97+ you are really hoping to join Baal runs or cow runs to do the TZ. The addition of TZs has really made the grind to 99 online realistic, but it's still a challenge for most folks. Thanks for the vid, Cheers!

God I did 97-99 online solely in P1 SSF a few seasons back, and I think it took me like 10 days of 10 hours a day. Actually crazy how many runes you end up finding like that though. Made enigma/hoto/and 2x cta along the way, and tossed an infinity/phoenix to a druid alt when I finished on the pally.

How do Monster Shrines and Evil Urns interact with this? If you find one before you get to your cap does it count towards the cap in the same way finding a super unique does? Or is it a "free" unique?

In old client without the terror zones going for 99 it might help to look into saving ancients as completing these give a lot of XP. These can be saved by levelling in classic. When the character hits kurast docks can convert char to expansion and have ancients available for later. 99 will be pain either way but the bump of XP at 98 just feels nice to have. Up to anyone to figure out if they want access to hell baal or not. Classic has its pros and cons.

With thorns you can jam on players 8 later on. But standard summon you are probably right in that you won't be much above p3 often. However in the end game with max gear you can do higher counts

act5 depends. if you want to overlevel before Baal, then after around clvl34 it's better to move on from Eldritch and go to rescue Anya. faster leveling on Pindle to around 40 and two drops instead of one.
