Diablo 3 OP Numlock Trick

As my number 1 asked question on stream, it seemed time to make a guide. Learn how to do the numlock trick in seconds.

1st rule in autocast - your numlock should be on (green light) before u use it as autocast 2nd rule in autocast - after pressing numpad 1 (2 or 3) and then pressing numlock to lock cast 1st u release numpad 1 then numlock button/ 3rd rule in autocas - check 1st rule after that

FYI: This works because u bind it to NUM2 and hold it, then u disable numlock so it doesnt receive numlock input anymore so it thinks ur just holding it forever. Reason why u need to do it twice sometimes is because u already disabled NUM and need to enable it first so it registers your NUMPAD input :). PS: also work with mutliple bindings for instance NUM1 2 and 3 so it spams 3 abilitys.

Thanks for making this dude. Great that you get right to it and for the camera view of your hand. I would have figured out what you meant by "numlock, keypad 2 and release" eventually, but it was nice to see EXACTLY what you meant. When you are frustrated you aren't usually thinking all that logically.

You should add the force move binding to mouse up, and mouse down. The reason is while you are holding down a key, such at left mouse for walk, numlock cannot engage a skill in the game. Also another piece of advice is in order for the number lock to work you need to have that num pad on first, hold the key, and turn off num lock. If you have the num pad off this doesn't lock the num pad keys.

The reason why it doesn't work sometimes is because your num lock has to be turned on when you do this. When you turn the num lock off while holding a number key it sticks that key into thinking its being held down.

For myself, I'm older and this has saved me a lot of pain when I am working on the line, heck a lot of the time I'm already hurting when I get home and the ability to do this saves some constant keyboard mashing. Thanks much! I'm putting a link in this on one of my videos! Oh, one thing I found was that when I use numpad 3 it ends up making the chat window pop up after turning it off, so I changed my setup from numpad 1 2 3 4, to numpad 1 2 4 5.

I have two arms, but I find it easier just to use a Razer Naga anyway. I map all the skills to the side buttons and it only takes one arm.

you dont have to release at same time you just need to hold down button press numlock into off position release key press numlock again, doing it this way is easier it also allows you to turn it off by pressing the numlock button for the skill you want to turn off. for laptop users hold function key and use same process its a bit more awkward because its a extra key further away then a normal pc for mac users on older macs you can numlock with fn+F6 newer ones tap option 5x while holding the number key

just saying idk if getting a cheap keyboard will save your hand because cheap keyboards are made to be cheap not be comfortable, usually more expensive ones have you as a customer in mind, like the black widow v2 with its magnetic palm rest its got a nice cushion in it to keep your hands from hurting during long gaming/typing sessions. Otherwise great video just dont see the final comment being viable :D

"Sometimes it doesn't take on the first try." Because you are doing it wrong. Don't try to let go of both buttons at the same time. Hold the assigned key. Tap numlock. Release the assigned key.

depends on the mouse. Most of the streamers use Logitech. So they have the infinite scroll. I personally prefer Razer, so...awkward as hell. I only use the scroll wheel to benefit from Hexing Pants if i have a stationary build.

I am a piano player and playing cm wiz back in the day was actually improved my speed and endurance...(not). I remember after a couple of crypt runs i had to stop to relax my hand for a couple of minutes and then back again. Problem with this trick is that when you press and hold left mouse button to move for some reason it makes the num lock stop working Edit: Yeah after 4 and a half years playing this game almost every day i just found out about force move and mouse wheel.... i think i took stupidity to another level....

I really love this tech! I've finally been able to delete my multitude of autoclickers :P One issue that I can't seem to get around is teleporting to town while these are all on. Is there any way to make it all stop again or do I have to always go back into the key bindings and switch them to and fro to make it stop?

The trick I use is hitting town portal and then immediately following it up with a tab to bring up the mini-map. This will prevent your skills from auto-casting.

1 Question.. when you are moving around with mouse.. I hold down mouse and nothing will cast.. I click and let the wizard travel there but sometime you want to move around , plus you are constantly clicking with mouse. . Any ideas how i can fix this..

I can't get you two-key combo for two skills to work at the same time... Only 1 skill can auto-spam at a time. Yes, I bought a new keyboard just for this.

This autocasts for me, but does not work when i move or use other skills. Ie Devour as Necro, when i move or use other skills like death nova it does not autocast, only when i stand still.

Depends if the two skills you are trying to use that way are both in the global cooldown group, which is a throttle to prevent casting such skills too fast in a sequence.

1:45 sorry to say Fluff .. but on a big brand Keyboard like Corsair you are able to remap keys. i have set my F12 to Numlock and another key to a NUMPAD number ^^. no need to spend that extra money ^^
