Great video Fluff :) Have you considered (for the gr 80+) using Blind Faith (with cubed Pauldrons) and using the Shallow graves rune for the 2 extra seconds (would lower the required CDR for the build) or Plaguelands for the 4rth poison skill. OR cube the Cord of sherma belt (instead of greaves) - would require testing though.

CDR ~51% Pretty darn good/fun build Fluff, and it is fast! Note#1: Density is your friend, and you do better without a lot of walls and doors. I got stuck a couple of times where LotD wasn't back up and I hadn't had an elite pack for a bit, then it struggles as you Blood Rush about (which still gives you great speed btw) trying to get some corpses, being sure to keep up BA and throwing the occasional Bone Spear. I can see where this might present a problem at higher GRs if you get the wrong map. One time I made the mistake of casting LotD at the end of a fight with 2 elite packs and a rare pack, used up all of the corpses and their purple orbs spawned the RG, but LotD was on cooldown. I had to Blood Rush around for about 15 seconds until LotD came back up, then the RF went down in moments. Note#2: On a big open map, the screen fills with lances coming from every direction and you basically stroll through the map massacring everything and you practically have perma-LotD. Don't even need the pylons, but the rifts end so quickly that I was really surprised at how fast it went (2 - 2.5 minutes!) and then the RG goes down lickety-split. Note#3: It takes some getting used to, you have to juggle your use of Bone Armor, casting CorpseLance a bit, Bone Spear, Blood Rushing every few seconds (keeps up your speed), Devour and keeping your eye on LotD.

one question? I was wondering if there is any slight manipulation to this build that you haven't tried? I love this build but I suffer a bit with cooldown as of right now, but I will get there. Playing with this build and the inarius build as well. Do you have any ideas for other gear that may pose some use as I am scratching my head right now on what other things that players can use till they get what they need as far as jewelry and bracers or even another weapon option. Love the channel and keep up the good work! It helps me pulse my curiosity and try other things to see if I can get some interesting results or better.

I'll give this a shot once I get my hands on some more pestilence parts, as I've had so much fun running Bonespear for the entire way from 51 to paragon lv 199, and still am using that thing right now until I am done with part 4 of the seasonal journey. After that I'll propably switch to a Trag'oul skele-mage build because it seems a lot more fun than Trag'oul corpse lance. And , using bone spear, even if only as a piece to power up corpse lance, to pay tribute to all the time it easily carried me through is nice. ...Or I might farm for pets, because I REALLY need charlotte now that I've seen her haha.

Tried ! Really impressive ! With Johnstone the build is really squishy :( Have to use Compass rose set. On my season 12 necro 780 paragon can clear 80 under 2min (my best GR96 760 paragon rathma set and GR110 normal also rathma), thanks for the build Fluffy, just discovered your channel. However if map is bad I'm not gonna clear 80 under 2min ^^ maybe 6-8min but I really like this build.

6-8 min on blight spear in an 80??? no no no! Something is wrong. The worst I ever clear on 80 with a bad map is maybe 3.5minutes.

A little update :( Tried 80 with my rathma set on 795para (1 800 000 dmg, GR96 cleared season 12 leaderboards), cleared in 2min50 ... I just one shot any trash packs. Blight build is too slow for me maybe just because I'm playing it badly I don't know.. clearing 80 in 6-10min with it :((( too fragile dying everytime especially if map is full of spearmen...need quite longtime to kill elite Boss, can't understand (I have every right passives, skills..runes..60% CDR...Poison skill dmg on wrists, kanai cube perfect) :( I think just damage is way too low with my blight build, around 900 000 - 1 000 000. Of course you have Primal ancient and 17xx paragon, I can do GR95 with my 1260para rathma under 5min for example , and I have 3 500 000 sheet damage (cleared GR110 on leaderboards). I think to clear GR80 with Blight build under 2min30 you need 2 000 000 as minimum. Anyway I love the build, working perfect to farm T13 and Bounties, I always finish 2 acts before others with it! I really think my sheet damage and low paragon on seasonal char is the issue! Let me know what you think Fluff!

Quick question about corpse lance (skill). How often is that actually used? Looks like it's only there to trigger the 3rd poison skill or double elites. The main source of damage comes from devour, is that right? I also really like how dislocation is your shield to keep mobs from one shot while in between blood rush. Can't wait to set this one up.

That's pretty much right, you only corpse lance when you need to focus down an elite or get the third poison stack. If you play a variant with Leoric's crown you can be a bit more liberal with the corpse lance firing.

Devour does 0 damage. It is only used because the 2 piece set bonus of the pestilence set makes it fire corpse lances at nearby enemies. Corpse lane is doing almost all of the damage

Hey, Lord Fluffy, thanks for this amazing build, very fun to play and satisfying to watch the whole screen obliterated in seconds. I have a question though, if you don't mind. What about Grim Scythe (with Cursed Scythe rune) for left mouse instead of Corpse Lance? It is a poison rune, too. That way it is still possible to proc Nayr's for a 3rd stack (just like Corpse Lance) and it would be nice to have a generator (sometimes, I ran out of essence between LoD massacres). And, what if we combine that with Leger's Disdain off-hand for a nice Grim Scythe buff (80% damage/essence x 12 essence = 960% additional damage)?? How much more/less viable will this be compared to Corpse Lance variant of yours??

Well there's a few problems with this: 1, you don't really want to be close enough to mobs to cast scythe and you're using zei's stone of vengeance which rewards you for being far away. 2, leger's disdain is great in inarius since inarius buffs ALL damage but pestilence does not, so the damage you'd be getting from legers is pretty trivial. 3, Corpse lance(our main damage dealer) would do less damage using the default rune(physical) and the chance for the AOE proc disappears which would further decrease our damage. 4, with over 50% cdr, it's pretty rare to run out of essence, assuming you're getting an in-geom proc with every use of LOTD.

Well, thanks for the quick answer. I think the reason I ran out of essence more than "rare" is my low paragon (around 600) and non-ancient gear (I only have 2 non-primal ancient) (I'm an eternal member of casuals :D). Therefore, my damage output is not top-notch and I desperately spam Empowered Bone Spear to kill stuff while waiting for the next LotD (It still takes a while even though I have 50ish CDR and in-geom. Obsidian ring of zodiac helps a lot at low levels, though). And unfortunately, I haven't switched to Zei's yet, because I still have to use esoteric alteration to stay alive (again the curse of low paragon and non-perfect gear). That is why I asked whether grim scythe is viable or not. But corpse lance doing less damage with default rune seems to be a dealbreaker for that swap.

The DiabloFans Guide is kept up to date, but the video is a more tanky alternative. Bone Ringer is just a stat stick, there's no off hand that would benefit the build more than a good dps phylactery.

wizard class is completely trash compared to necro, mate. you can kill the rg in one rotation in gr100-110 without even stacking stricken much. played wizard as well past seasons (wasnt a main wizard and not that good i admit) and had some issues to kill the rg with just one or even two archons. at a certain point necro is kinda face roll and outdamages other classes by far. no doubt about that

Not to suck Blizzard's dick or anything, but every class got significant changes on the PTR. Barb, Crusader, Monk, Wizard and Necromancer all cleared a 110, with Demon Hunter at 109 and Witch Doctor at 105. We'll have to see how much of the buffs will make it live and when people start pushing the limits, but their attention has gone far past their precious little DLC class.

this build is particularly squishy, it's just a matter of avoidance really. You'll also notice, the more damage you get(better gear and augments), the more inherently tanky you become due to high intelligence(resistance) and higher damage. I probably die one in every 5 runs or so. Some mob types are just impossible to deal with. Tongue lashers, lacuni prowlers etc...

Definitely run the endless walk variation for starters and keep the GR at a smooth farming level. In-geom builds are always kind of scary in HC since you skip trash and there's no real safe point to go back to if you proc death.

I really think pestilence is a little easier to get a higher clear, even though you're seemingly more squishy and minus 1 blood rush charge.

Scrolling through the comments i found some one else touching on the matter that also came to my mind, and that I was also thinking when i was watching your Barb Charge vid; monk is just much faster than this and its very missleading for newer players looking for info when they find this with "fastest build in the game" title. hmmm, not trying to come off as rude or a "i got the right answers" kind-of-guy. Did you test a kick or WoL monk on the ptr before writing that title? it's, just, so, CRAZY, fast. I'm a super wiz fan and wiz main sins vanilla, but mostly playing my kick monk these days cus its the fastest thing in the game for sertain things. keyfarming\lowlvl-gems mainly. come the ptr buffs, its gone be for leveling higher lvl gems to some degree as well. To answer the question the other guy dident answer about linking a monk clearing 90 in 3 min. Check PTR leaderboards. you can see gr89 cleared in 3.29 by a preeeeetty badly optimized monk with 1400 para and low level gems\augments (sorry LovinYoshi, dont mean to hate on your gear :D) - but thats over 3 min, you might say. yes. but i only mention that because it tells a lot about the strenght of the build. The better examples would be to see SneakyTurtles top 90 WoL clear, in a staggering 2 min 3 sec. Muscovite's 90 Kick clear in 2 min 50 sec. these are both 3.3k para accounts, must be mentioned! Cat's GR100 WoL in 5:07. Comparing to necro leaderboards where top 90 clear is 3:09 para 4.4k, thats a minute slower and a 1k para higher. and 4:26++ following him on the 90's. top 100 necro clear in 5:09 (2.5k para). This might tell us that for ISH gr90+ runs, it might not be very much of a difference in clear time between the classes; in runs where you actualy fight a bit vs the mobs. For levels where you basicly oneshot or just brainlessly farm, WoL reigns supreme. But low lvl farming is a bit off-topic. I'm pretty tierd while writing this, so feel free to tear me apart. :)

Just have to add for information that no other classes comes even close to these necro\monk times for gr100 and gr90 clears on ptr leaderboards. Rank 1000 DH is gr 92 so duno about the 90 for that class, good for them i guess.

I don't just use flair titles to trigger click bait, this IS the fastest solo speedfarm in the game. The PTR leaderboard has been reset over a dozen times. 90 in 2 minutes on a monk is fast, sure. But Necro farms 90 in 3 minutes consistantly, even with a shit rift. An in-geom build that's efficient at level 90! Insane! I understand you're going off of what you see on the PTR leaderboards but yes, i've play tested all the classes. Shadow DH 90s, Barb speedquake/SS 90s, WOL 90s, SWK 90s, condem 90s. The necro was the fastest and most consistant without being GG rift dependent. Its the only one of the speed 90s that can use in-geom at that GR level.

I'm almost convinced now that the necro is the fastest gr85+ farmer. I love that you test so thoroughly and can share the information from several classes perspective and I'm allways very interested in the what class\build is fastest for x and y type of farming. Today i've been fooling around on the PTR again, had to test some WoL 90's. Personaly I'm huge fan of dropping Kyoshiro's Blade for In-Geom but that left me with to little damage for 90's being worthwhile. Also most people use cinder coat in cube, but can easily be replaced by nemesis bracers, resources was not a problem for my monk rolling some cdr into rcr. Anyway what I'm really saying here is that it kind of sucked. :) I'll have to dropp several gr levels for in-geom setup to have enough damage (im only 2k para). I only ran like 7-8 runs with Kyoshiro's, best time being 3:51 as seen on PTR (char name Rainer, feel free to trash my monk setup guys) which really kind of dissapointed me. It was squishy, it was inconsistent damage output when not 1-3 shotting the stuff you fight and 3:51 being best result with a level being greater spire good density stuff. More normal time was around 5-7 minutes for me. I guess an account with around 4k+ para could maybe maybe do 90's with In-Geom to be quicker than necromancers, but for the man in the street it's a no-go and necromancers will do higher rifts faster, easier and with less gear and paragon. Really nice find on this necro speed build bro. I guess I'm making one, lol.

you really need every piece of this gear in the build. I'm missing the OROTZ and a socket at the moment for The Johnstone... and my dps with the ingeom is horrible with non ancients... not viable unless better rolls on gear thats for sure. Totally dependent on CDR and very squishy build, getting one shotted a lot, but looks fun once i upgrade pieces.

Ring of the Zodiac+ Krysbin+ Ouroboros, Halcyon's Ascent or Hellfire for Rathma's Shield seems to be better options, since LOTD is up all the time and you almost never get the Macab bonus.

I think you need to re-read Johnstone. You get the damage bonus while in land of the dead now, from your last land of the dead cast. It changed in 2.6.1.

The 2-piece power was great at first, but at a certain point, and not at that high a difficulty, it does so little damage you might as well not have it at all. I'm glad they are (probably) buffing it next patch.

hey fluff, could you please give me some ideas on how to survive with this set? I'm currently trying the cold variant, and I'm getting destroyed in GR72. I never had this problem with trag'ouls and in fact I felt really godlike because of blood rush being able to heal me and give armor in between elite packs. With pestilence I'm getting literally 1-shot left and right, at a distance and close range...I just feel so helpless in between elite packs and waiting for lotd. It just feels like I should be playing rathma if I'm to be turtling like this just to survive. I tried the gizzard gem and even swapping to draw life, but there is nothing really to regenerate when I'm just getting 1 shot. What do you think I could do? Using endless walk set as well, with relina's and the pauldrons in cube. Also RORG since I don't have the last piece of pestilence yet. I feel like if I'm doing something wrong because all the GR leaderboards use pestilence and I'm just dying constantly.

There is no cold variant of this build. Are you talking about the push build? What GR are you attempting? And RORG in the push build? No, you need 6p pestilence.

yea sorry - i meant the popular build with brittle touch and practically no speed. I'm only attempting gr72 and i'm getting destroyed using the 5p pestilence set with rogr. What am I missing out on using the 5pc vs 6? Besides subbing in convenent of elements as a ring and cubbing krysbin's sentence for more damage. Damage is great, what I want to solve is how to not get 1-shotted all the time. Again, I never had this problem with trag'oul's set and it's practically the same build minus the lack of all the bloodrush runes.

How do you keep Land of the Dead up? I have 50% CDR yet it's still has like, 20 seconds of down time every time.

So you won't have 100% uptime on LOTD, that's not the point and it's actually impossible. You want to kill at least 1 elite for every rotation of LOTD to proc in-geom which will shave another 10seconds off your cooldown. You'll more than likely also proc Blood Is Power just by taking damage and spamming blood rush which yields even more cooldown. But even with both of those going off, you'll still have to throw out a handful of spears and proc obsidian ring of the zodiac to shave off those last seconds.

If phylactery is a stat stick, why not use 2 handed schyte for the weapon damage and cube the ingeom instead? Are the stats on onehander+phylactery outweighing the wpn dmg of 2 handers?

So the damage of a perfect 2hander is rivaled by a 1h/phylactery but that's before even considering the "stat stick". 10 crit, 8 cdr on a CDR dependent build is amazing. You can try a 2hander though, I certainly did in my testing.

How would this build work out at a start of a season? Stack CDR over CHC on neck/rings? Limited paragon (say 400, instead of 1700 in the video), no augments etc. Would it be viable?

It will definitely work for lower grifts as long as you still have decent CDR and a Zodiac. It obviously won't be as good but you will still clear 60s fairly easily at very low paragons.
