Honestly, ever since Diablo came out in 1996 I've always loved the soundtracks. I absolutely loved Diablo 1 and when the second one came out I found myself constantly playing II. Just recently a friend let me play his Diablo III on his account and I couldn't be happier. All in all this was a great game and I don't see why people hate the game's soundtrack. It appears people just need to appreciate music for what it is: music. It may sound very similar to the originals, but it's not. It's different. Different is good.
@Listhebaroness10 жыл бұрын
***** Yup. With new technology, we get also new techniques. This music is far less "simple", if it can be put in this way. Still, greatest part of Diablo. I don't think I'd have played so much I, II & III if not for the soundtrack (although Diablo II had the best >digital

No one hates the games sound track. they hate D3's cartoony Bullshit. Which is why Blizz knew they had to save their asses after immortal with D2R. Hopefully rather then them having their "Grand vision" of D4. They will HOPEFULLY make it dark and less cluttering like D3's craft system and useless consistent drops. In less then a month on D3 I was in the full teir set for the season with Anchient drops of 2 pieces. if i gave it another month id be godly but eww. Thats too easy and it loses appeal very fast. D2R is where its at for now.

I was always a little unsettled by D3 as a child, but I enjoyed playing it with my dad. Now I've played most of D2, am working on D1, and me and him are playing through D4. I really like making music, and let me tell you the Diablo soundtracks are GENIUS. Like, I can't express how many other of these symphonic-rock-choir style soundtracks just fall flat. Diablo has some real shit going on with its music theory. Even If you don't like D3, at least put this song in your playlist.

I use to have so much love and respect for this song but after playing the first Diablo all of that love and respect has transferred to the original Tristram Theme. This one is still very good, but the original manages to be haunting, creepy and beautiful in so many ways it's amazing. I wonder what inspired people to write such outstanding music for a game with such simple graphics? Did the lacking visuals inspire the musicians to work harder at adding to the atmosphere of the game? Or is it simply that Diablo 1 & 2's composer is just that little bit better than 3's?

@@noctissama3146 Yes! That, plus I think that they might have had more money available (in relative terms) for music. Now so much money goes into animations and graphics, that the percentage that's left for music directly reflects the percentage of influence it has on the game.

I feel like they should've just made the whole game like Reaper of Souls. RoS had a great atmosphere, pretty decent plot, and just felt fuller of despair and horror with how the place you're trying to save being portrayed as helpless to the monsters taking people's souls and turning them into ghouls. Base game just felt like something else entirely.

To be honest, is 50/50. About Playability, I like the fact that I dont have to come back on and on to the campement in order to get potions. Besides, it was a good thing they removed the character's resistance characteristic and the book of portals. That way you can keep playing without interruption. On the other hand, I do not like the stuff about abilities and runes. I prefer the Diablo II's system of abilities. About the lore, I really dislike that Blizzard Killed both Deckard Cain (the most important character) and Leah (who was supposed to be the new "Deckard Cain"). One thing more, I hate the barbarian design. I preferr Diablo II's. I love the female crusader design, though.

Gamers appear to be very conservative when a new game in a series is released. If the old one is played at the time of release then it, according to the world of gaming, is far better than anything released after in the series. Morrowind v Skyrim is another example. I might be touching bad waters here, but there is no such thing as objective quality in art, only the meaning and the experience with the art that is applied and subject to personal interpretation.

Not all the time, for example the quality of Diablo 1 VS the quality of Diablo 3 in: Atmosphere Horror Gameplay Graphics Music Can be defined criticaly since Diablo was created as an Hack n Slash very related to horror and satanism were the atmosphere and the music was pure evil and the final boss something that you should be afraid of. Diablo 3 tryed to reach the mass audiences wich is contrary of what Blizzard North pretended to do with the series in the first place. The same can be done with other games like Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy and so on. There is people that "hate" new games for modism and there is people that "hate" new games because nostalgia for the original product, but also there is people who clam that one product is inferior after analizing the evidence from a spot were nor the personal tastes nor the nostalgia is present. And yes it IS easy to analize a product without the use of personal tastes, sad is that the media and that piece of shit known as "Gaming Comunity" is loosing track of this very rapidly. :/
