I'm currently in the season 11 with a WW barb us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/DavisD-1738/hero/75983771 here he is.. I'm trying hard to push Leader boards but I seem to have Survival issues. The highest I've cleared is a 76.. but when i hit the 77s i just seem to get 1 shot by random stuff any help would be awesome

I am currently running a WW barb this season 11 ( us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Gon-11140/hero/92263422 ) as stated below there is some survival issues to a degree. but the pain enhancer seems to correct that away. At the time of writing this I have been able to push to #25 on the solo board and still looking to climb. Great video. it was my platform to getting started this season.

Dillon - Somehow I missed your comment last week, my bad. With your paragon level, you're right about where you should be on GR's. A few things I would change is get the pride of cassius belt. That is a must on ww barb. Also switch warcry rune to either veterans warning or impunity. I'd start with the former. You need a furnace in the cube. Passives, I'd change superstition to rampage. The extra strength stacks not only help damage but defense. Also switch nerves of steel to ruthless. Looking at your current build I realize it's probably a farming speed build and not your gr build? But those are the suggestions off what I see. Also make sure to get your hp over 1 mil if you can.

Gordon - Your setup looks pretty good. For survival you might try switching impunity rune to veterans warning. Might help, might not but worth a try. I also find that I die quicker when using windshear/swords to ploughshares combo rather than bloodshed/bloodfunnel combo. The latter seems to work better but it does get harder to maintain fury using the istvans set.

This video was quite helpful, I was having a hard time pushing past GR65 myself, but I have been using the Compass Rose 2pc neck/ring most the season, and I can see the benefit that you get from having the Zodiac ring and the CoE AND the Skull ring, plus the extra passive. That and I was saving Crit chance as my last spot for my points (Currently 700ish para) so seeing that I am totally gonna change up my build and hopefully be able to start farming on 70. To get my gems up for augments. Thanks a lot! Great video!

This is so far my favourite build play wise, and I keep now experimenting between Istvan and Bul-Kathos set. Personally I prefer more the B-K but when I look at the season hc leaderboards, its either ww with istvan or leapquake builds. Did not find one BK build on the top 20 afaik.

I really love playing WW barb... Truly hard to master ... And every single subtle detail you told are key to the success of this build ..... Things like extra WW damage in armour helm, boot and area damage in weapon etc... One more key info I recently saw in another content is the need for chance to freeze or stun in belts, gloves and weapon (secondary stat) ... To push passed 80 GR without dying much .... Loved your content keep it up... Keep a much more interesting intro or keep it shorter bro ... Otherwise, everything about your video was great... Best of luck for your future in KZbin ....

Thanks. I'm currently on GR 86 with this build. I don't find I die very often I still just need more damage. I need good stat rolls with more area damage. The intro to this video was kind of long because I wanted to cover every aspect of the build since it's been a while since I went over all the details.

Do the attack speed where possible. The more AS, the faster the skills will roll back (obsidian ring), due to the fact that there will be more punches per second. Here is the table: 5 is the maximum. Yes attack speed is nice, I wouldn't call it the most valuable but it is nice.

I'm up to T10 so far and I can survive no problem I just seem to be really lacking damage as it takes a while to clear mobs, only thing I'm missing is the skull grasp, once I get that will T10 become a cake walk? Also about how much CDR and IAS should I be aiming for? Thanks!

I'd aim for at least 45% cdr. As for damage, yes the skull grasp will make a BIG difference. That's 300% buff and it's its own multiplier. As for other ways to add damage, higher paragon levels, better stat rolls (ancients), augments.

Quick question mate. I know this might be biased, but as someone who played DH last season, that being my first season as I just got into Diablo, what do you recommend for someone looking for something that is more interesting and more survivable than DH?

Try a ww barb lol. I'm biased towards that just because it's my favorite :P. Monks have some strong builds too. If you're looking for survivability, ww barb is a good option. Another good option is a WD pet build. They have damage sharing with their zombie dogs. I haven't worked too much on my DH, Crusader, or Wizard so I can't speak too much to those builds. When it comes to having trouble surviving with any build, it usually means you either aren't geared good enough for the rifts you're trying to push, or you're not using the optimal skills. As for more interesting, that's probably opinion based so I don't know what would be most interesting for you :P

Hi! First of all, great video! I got one question for you though. How on earth you have your dps over 2 000 000?? I have the whole set plus Bul-Katho set of which one mighty weapon is ancient but my dps is only about 1mil. Can the second ancient weapon plus emerald along with an optimised all ancient set(+ augment) double the DPS or am I missing something? Thanks in advance

Depends on a lot of things. A second emerald will make a huge difference. Overall strength from paragon and augments will also make a big different. And higher stats from augments will add to it as well. So basically everything you just said lol. This is an old video though. Bought the game last week to see how it changed since d2 days. Got to Torment 10 running practically the same build as you, but can't get past Gr 50 because I simply can't get the Ali belt and the skull grasp. Identified hundreds of legendary maces, no furnace either :(

You'll def need those things to push further, just keep farming they'll drop eventually. After that you won't be pushing much past the 60's till you get lots of paragon points. Most people don't make it past 70 till they get at least 800 paragon level. It takes time, keep at it :)

Not really because then you'd need the ring of royal grandeur to run the set which would get rid of skull grasp in the cube or zodiac or ring of elements. Those three rings are pretty essential to the build. Or if you put them in the cube you'd miss out of mantle of channeling in the cube that give bonus damage and defense.

I have been using ground stomp with the rune that pulls enemy's in. instead of the threatening shout. would you say that's better?

I personally don't like it because it takes you out of ww which leaves you vulnerable. Some people do run it that way though and if you can get it to work with your play style, that's all that matters.

Michael Simmons i use stomp as well in my build too.i like it alot.but then again i also use rend alot too.i like stomp because it builds density as well as a stun.that stun is usually enough time for me to set rend 2x.

Just realized I didn't show my stats :/ I've got 50% cdr. You could get away with probably 40% but the real key is zodiac ring. I've also got bulkathos passive on my amulet which really helps with WOTB

You almost need at least the 4 piece bonus to use this build and be somewhat effective. Also if you're just starting with the build, you'll def need the bulkathos weps too for the fury generation. If you don't have those, you'll need to setup your passive skills for fury generation and use the windshear rune on ww to maintain fury. At lower levels it should be fine since you won't need the sustain like at higher levels.

hello! I'm a new player playing with my gf. I want to play barbarian or crusader, but having a hard time deciding which. I feel like barbarian may be more fun for me. with a partner how well does the WW build work? And since I have a mage/demon hunter on my team the barbs low damage output shouldn't be that much of an issue yeah?

You can modify the ww build to be useful for a team. I personally like barbs better than crusaders but crusaders are still very fun. And ya a demon hunter and wizard will put out much more damage than a barb.

Just some things off the top of my head, I'd for sure use ancient spear rage flip to drag in enemies for everyone, kinda like a zdps barb. I'd also use ignore pain mob rule rune to help everyone else out. Maybe I'll think deeper into this and come up with a "team" version.

There's no specific target number with all resist. The higher the better. You can boost all resist from warcry impunity rune but I like veterans warning rune better.

Ya that's pretty low paragon. You probably just need better gear too, ergo, better stat rolls and more ancients/augments.

Are you still having fury issues? Your skills and gear look pretty good. Weapon master should keep you topped off on fury.

Hey so I was going through my comments and yours was marked spam so it never posted because of the link, sorry about that. Your main fury issue is because you're using brawler instead of weapon master. Also I'd swap your bracers for nemesis bracers since you don't really have a stun so you don't benefit from defenders. I'd also try and get an amulet with the bulkathos passive on it. Other than that everything looks pretty solid. Just need to get better stats on gear, more ancients, and level up your legendary gems. 70 is only for primal ancients. Regular ancients can drop wherever.

Yes it is but it's right on the brink. 50% is much better but 44% will work. I recently got a better drop of skull grasp which I switched to wear instead of zodiac so I cubed zodiac. Only thing I lost was cd. I'm now at 46% and the build still works fine. Again though I wouldn't go any lower. It gets close sometimes on ignore pain.

you just use shout too often. Can't blame you, it's a reflex. Cut down on the shout and even ~40% is enough for 99% on WotB. Tested it. That shout you use doesnt do much anyway, except lower the damage of the mobs. And you dont need that all of the time. As for making them follow you and group up - yea, that works just as much as ancient spear....especially if the mobs are slowed by you or templar... :)

Ring of elements would def give you more damage to push higher. I'd get a hellfire amulet so you can have an extra passive. Rampage is pretty important because of the added damage and toughness. I'd much rather be using a defensive passive than ground stomp. Also battlerage is more effective with bloodshed. It looks like your main issue is low stats. You're crit chance could be a bit higher but isn't bad. Your hp is really really low though. 353k hp is way too low to be running higher GR's. I'm at 1.1 mil and I can still get one shot by certain things though I am in the 80's. I'd say work on getting more hp. You could also use more CD to keep ignore pain up more often. So in short, more cd and crit, a lot more hp. I assume your hp in game is a bit higher because mine on my profile says 950k but it's 1.1 mil in game but even at 500-600k that's way too low. Also checking out your profile, is your templar your main follower? He has unity ring which is nice. I'd replace band of might with another unity ring. That's what I used to run and it got me to the mid 70's. Also I'd give your follower an oculus ring in place of bulkathos wedding ring. It looks like a lot fo your gear isn't ancient and doesn't have optimal stats. That's one of the biggest things holding you back. I've got a lot of good stat rolls but my weps still need to be rolled better, that's the main thing keeping me from 90's, lack of good area damage.

Not with this build. 25% > 20%. With this build you can maintain max fury even on a single target most of the time granting you the bonus on RG too wheres brawler you need 3 or more enemies around for the bonus.

i'm using weapon master, one thing i dont have is the gauntlet of the wastes missing in the set, i dont know if this has something to do it with the lack of fury im having, also in the kanai's cube i only have the middle passive(mantle of channeling). im using different rings and belts, because i didnt drop those that you have yet. my one handed swords are also different than yours

Ah. The swords are the big thing. The bulkathos weps generate fury on their own. And when you run the wep master rune while running the bulkathos weps, that generates 2 fury per hit. thank you for answering me, about my two weapons im using the slanderer and little rogue, i saw on the leaderboards some barbarians using them, i imagine that they utilize some other way to manage their fury? i saw on that video you linked me that you mencioned them as well. Im kinda new on the game so i have some doubts about something you said aswell, in your weapons of bull kathos you have ancient on them, i see that weapon and gear that have ancient are better, you have to enchant them somehow or you just drop ancient weapons? thanks for taking time to answer me, im subscribing

To the first part of your question. I've got a couple videos you can check back on that I've done on slanderer and rogue. They do have the potential to do more damage but it's harder to maintain fury. It works "better" at higher rifts though because you're taking so much damage which also generates fury. You can try and reforge a regular legendary into an ancient using Kanai's cube. I've done a few cube tutorial vids as well you're welcome to check out. If you're not using the cube then you just have to hope that a legendary rolls ancient when it drops. I believe there's about a 25%-30% chance for a legendary drop to be ancient. It took me a long time to get all those ancients and you may notice, my rings and my bracers still aren't ancient :P

What is your actual hp? The site says 500k. It should be at least a million. Main differences in our build is I use demoralize rune on threatening shouts, bloodshed on battle rage, and berserker rage instead of nerves of steel. At 70 you shouldn't need any augments. I'm going to guess you're just low on hp. That site usually reads only a 100k low so I'm guessing you're in the mid 600k to maybe 700k range? If so I'd work on getting more hp, and also try the changes listed above. Also what's your CHC and CHD and CDR? Again, the site can't be trusted with stats lol

actual HP is 627k XD my CHC is 52% and my CHD is 506% Where do you suggest i get the vit from based on my gear? i've never reached 1m hp O_O i want to run blood shed but my toughness suffers :( i run nerves of steel as wel because i always get 1 shotted so it always pops

627k hp isn't near enough for 70+ especially 75+. Your chc and chd are more than enough so you could probably sacrifice 5% and 50% or so respectively and add to vit if you can. Having such low hp is a big reason for being one shotted. Once you hit the 75+GR, you'll need over a mil hp. The more hp you have also means you'll be healing more from ww because it heals based on %.

What's your paragon level? What's your stats on your gear? I also have a lot of my gear augmented with 300+ strength caldessins despair.

I think the biggest thing is your crit chance seems to be pretty low. I'd also work on getting more vitality since 650k is pretty low for higher rifts.
