Small tip for new players, you can't do it on nonancient items. However you can override an augment with a new one. So for example if you have a augment of a level 70 gem. You can override it with a level 80 gem. You basicly do the same thing but with a higher gem on the same item.

Thank you for the guide video, my question: is it possible to do augment ancient item with two different stats? for example after augment for str status, then can we do again but with different gem for example vit, will the stat bonus become 2 (str and vit) or we cannot do that?

No you can only do one. Two would be kind of OP though.

Great tutorial, is it possible after augmenting to re augment with that same stat to make the level go up? For example augment with level 80 gem for 400 strength then re augment with another level 80 gem for another 400 strength and increase the level to 160

Nope. You have to use a higher augment to get a higher stat, and they don't add up :(

No it wouldn't. It depends on the level of the gem. The level 80 in this video gave me 400 str. Watch from 5:35, you can see the rank 80 we just put on there for 400 str, then in a few seconds you can see the other ranks (levels of gems) that give less str stats.

The gem doesn't matter but the level does. Use whatever you want, just level it first ^_^

I was thinking the same thing... I'll lvl up gems I don't need in my set for augmenting.. This was the most simple explanation I've found so far lol ... The last guy I asked told me to augment only my highest... that didn't end well lol

Hey! I'm a relatively new player and I just completed my crusader invoker set and I had a question. Since regular gems have different effects if used on weapons or helm, would the same apply for these augments? ( for example if I used yellow gems for augmenting weapon would it add more thorns instead of intelligence ) Any help would be much appreciated!

They are different but only for stats. In other words yellow gems used for augments will give intel, not thorns. Same goes for the other gems, they give the augment for their stat type and not wep slot bonus. Hope I explained that well enough lol.

Yes. I used a 110 earlier that gave me 500+, don't remember the exact amount.

Yea I seen on the lraderboards, top monk had rank 130 gems on almost all his equipment, came out to 650 dex per 130 gem, I try to hang in there til at least rank 100, which brings me another question, I was wondering if I used a level 50 gem to augment an item, could I augment it again with another rank 50 or higher?

Not to add it up to 100, each goes separately. So each one would add level 50 stats.

Megagig oh, damn, that's a lot of consistent grinding then, also, can you and if you could, would you suggest adding 3 diamonds for a huge boost in all resistance? I gotta imagine if 500-600 all resistance on just one piece of gear would add to toughness big time

Not the gem buff itself no. It's just a way to put more main stats on an item.

Oh, well wtf, you ONLY get the stat bonus? How F-ing lame is that! Completely lose the legendary bonus of the leveled-up gem? That's sooo not worthwhile. . . .it takes months to get those past 30-40! This is tooooo much for my casual-ass.

@@apeshitcrazyman i level my gems in an hour or two. you should be able to level a gem +5 in 10 minutes. so that 50 levels in an hour. just make sure you use a gem you dont care about

emkplayboy6 Yes as long as it's good. Once you have a piece of gear you're settled with you should augment it to help you push further. You can always add a higher augment later.

This system is verry confusing someone gave one lvl 150 to me true trade & it had upgraded all stats by 5x or more i tought only 1 attribute would be upgraded instead i get 60 range puckup 4k strength 30% recharge speed so on all ???

Not completely sure what you're saying lol. It's only supposed to be one stat per gem type unless they changed it last patch which I doubt.

Different gems will give a different stat. Green = dex, Red = Strength, etc.

No but each new augment overwrites the last. So you can upgrade augments all the time but you can only have one on at a time.

go to Squirt , she is a vendor in act 2 , she sells Essences , you then buy one for 500k and you can transmute them 9 at a time , any level of gem , but min of nine , so could trade 9 purple and you get 9 red or what ever essence color you want :)

What he said but you have to use the cube to convert the gems. If you've got the money it's a quick way. If not, check out my gold and gem farming video I did. It will help you farm gems quickly, especially doing bounties.

Both orange and greens can be ancient. It says right under the name. See 1:00 where it says Ancient Legendary Mighty Belt. If it wasn't ancient it would say Legendary Mighty Belt.
