Aside from a small oversight of Spiritborn dealing 200.000.000 times more damage than other classes the main problem with the expansion for me is the stability issues. The amount of times my game lags out, freezes, disconnects or straight up crashes is too damn high I mean I'm afraid to open inventory or check the map because my game could crash and I will be definitely dead if I do it near any danger even if it doesn't. You can see that Blizzard agrees with me because they have been releasing "Various stability improvements." patches almost daily since the release which is very telling about the state the expansion was released in.

Funnily enough, the game has never been so stable for me. I've had issues since the beginning, and as long as I don't have a browser with 1500 tabs open on the side that takes all my RAM, it now runs very well since the expansion released. My spouse who had far worse stability issues than me before thanks to a weaker computer has seen them completely disappear overnight when the expansion released.

The problem is simple: We're doing beta testing in live production. Most of if not all of the issues facing the overpowered Spiritborn class are due to bugs. If they were adamant about releasing a clean and finished product, this wouldn't be a topic of discussion. It's probably another classic case of execs wanting to release the content before the devs are comfortable doing so.

so it is unfair to get to level 300 for two hours, but is fair for spirit born with 3 hours played to do 10 000 times more damage than my rogue with 100 hours played of course surpass it in every major content that can be done with very little effort. I have done it already. My spirit born with no glyphs,no master working ,barely any tempering ,just the correct gear with aspect outdo my other character 4 times in dps department once i geared it it became comical the difference. Just fyi damage allows you everything in this game, higher pits = more exp=more gear=better glyphs=even more damage.

If they could bring down SB by 20 tiers it would still be the strongest class. I mean what do we really gain by doing 150s in 5 mins? I have completed 200 duriel runs with no mythic unique drop. Could it be a bug? You have connections. Could you reach out and tell them that I can’t grind all day for mats. I’m beyond mad. "Why does it matter" because this is a game with both multiplayer, trading and pvp. You interact with others and aren't isolated in a vacuum, so class balance matters and affects everyone. Other classes can't even play the game if there's a spiritborn in the area. People are saying they might as well just afk when in a group with a spiritborn. Players are getting kicked out of groups for not playing spiritborn because the difference in class strength is so large. Players quitting because they didn't buy the $40 DLC and every other class was nerfed and is completely underpowered in comparison. Players quitting instead of playing alts because it's pointless to play anything other than spiritborn. This is why class balance matters. Do you think 99% of the playerbase playing one class is good for the overall health of the game? If this isn't a problem for you they might as well just delete the other classes.

I’m a casual player couple hours a day. I have my spirit born pretty high up. Think about like 212 paragon. Still grinding and trying to find the “perfect” gear. I’ve done this every season and then once I have a character done I started a new one and build them up and normally get two or three of season The balance is so off. I don’t know if I wanna bang my head against the wall trying to play any other class. Might be done shortly. Which is the earliest I’ve left the season since season three.

Spirit born is broken and most op class in diablo history there is no challenge to it. Every class and builds should reach High Pit enough to level glyph to 100.

Wow! I must be a more casual player than you. Season 6 is the first season I have played. I’ve played Eternal Realm previously until they gutted all the item pre-expansion. At that point, I almost quit the game. I soon decided to give season play a try. Made it to Torment 1. Since I bought the Ultimate version of the expansion, I’m trying the battle pass. I have 130 paragon at the moment.

@@basxhor that’s the other thing I missed them announcing, The fact that the higher your Glyph level gets the higher pit, you have to do to have a chance to level it. So these other bills that are going to have trouble in the higher pick tears, they can’t even get their glyphs to 100 either … that change is a mistake. Who cares if I wanna do a lower level pit and have to do it twice as many times I should still be able to level up my glyphs. You hit a wall and you can’t advance.

I'll be honest with you Lucky, they introduced a "new skill" to the Rouge that's basically USELESS in many dungeons cuz the ONLY WAY to power up the skill is to keep moving. Duh. They also made one class SUPER OP at the expense of ALL other classes. Clear PIT 150 under 3 minutes with purchased 4 GA gears outside of the game and unlimited gold for mastwork. I had a LOT of hope for D4 but after S6, I don't think things will ever change. The fact that you can _PAY FOR POWER_ outside of the game is something that can NEVER BE STOPPED and never will be and it is _intentional_ make no mistake. It is with a heavy heart that I'm saying goodbye to D4 and I had a blast playing the Rogue under your guidance. But PTW is crossing the line for me - REGARDLESS how you get it. NO matter how hard you try it you will NEVER WIN. PERIOD. POE2 is where my heart is going to be!!

did you know it's bugged? you can use yen blessing to activate dance of knives at the start of a pit run, and once it's active it never stops. lol. so you just spam like penetrating shot or something to activate the cooldown on dance of knives, and then you just unlimitedly and automatically and non-stop cast knives until the end of the pit run. this might get fixed long before sb gets fixed lol. cuz bliz hates rogue/druid/barb/necro/sorc

This season was the worst season for me, i quit after a few days. The bugs and lagg and random dc got me so mad, and i lost my motivation for playing more. And then spiritborn is super op. The new raid was super disappointed. To hard to get decent gear and lack of codex, lack of materials etc. Nothing felt good about this season. Im kind of done with Diablo at this point for now. They dont bring stuff that ppl want in the game, like an ah, armory, lootfilters etc. And all the good rewards they put behind a paywall in the shop or in battlepass.

Boost drop rates of ancestral slightly, class balance, is really all we need. The season is long enough to get any gear you need. I have 3 lvl 60's and if you do the rep grind you get so many boss mats you can get almost any mythic without having to use runes to craft. Even if you don't have all day to play you can make huge progress with a couple hours honestly. ( Playing honestly at least).

Because its now all just grind for no reward. The put the carrot out too far, added more just grind mechanics. Now you have to grind one thing to grind another just to grind another and for what? Nothing because you just get junk. They also removed the spark from faction, removed half the rewards from faction, have to grind something else first just to grind the faction, made it 10x grindier for less rewards, and removed repeatable. Gives less reason to roll alts. I played full two months S5. I played two weeks S6.

Awesome video with perfect focus on the true core issues. The game has to be stable and Blizzard has to protect users who don't exploit. Having the item poof AFTER trade is very wrong. It'd probably be better if the item didn't poof (best is not being duped in the first place, or it poofing before the trade was attempted). As is, players who are legitimate are impacted (out the gold) and cannot trust the game. Even if players are smart enough to not trade for perfect items listed multiple times, the duping meta would just shift to duping good enough items so that players still fall for it. (3GA Kepeleke instead of 4GA, etc)

Hmm actually a good thing about S6 and VoH is that you have the boss opals and boss tributes so that you can farm boss mats up to a certain point that they are sort of self-sustaining just by doing boss rotations. I agree with leaving SB as is for now since people are having fun and if they 'nerf' it, bc of the 'sudden' drop people will get frustrated especially casuals who are starting to gear up.

I mean, they asked if they should nerf a class clearly breaking the game and its rules. And they didn't ask in-game, they asked in X: a social platform I don't use and that can be easily boted. They are aware of how insanely broken the class is and they just don't want to take action. This season you either play Spiritborn and delete the entire content or go any other class and struggle with The Pit beyond tier 7X. I've been defending Blizzard for almost a year but this was it, man. I can't wait for November 15th and simply forget about Diablo 4 because it clearly is a very expensive Early Access game anyways.

Blizzard just got itself into a lose/lose situation with Spiritborn. If they nerf him then all the people who paid for expansion and were blasting through the content would have to basically start from scratch. Many likely would just drop the game. If they don't nerf it then all the people who haven't bought the expansion are given the middle finger and would likely drop the game (because why bother spending days or even weeks farming gear and resources while knowing that some schmuck with barely correct gear can outdamage you a thousand times). In fact, many of the players playing Spiritborn would likely drop out as well, because they would clear the season in a couple of weeks (which is now) and will have nothing to do anymore. Things like duping and scamming are secondary to completely broken balance and random crashes. Trading is not for everyone, but gameplay balance absolutely is. This season is probably the worst one yet and I'm not looking forward to the next one, because it would either become even worse in terms of balance or Blizzard will finally break the game entirely and people would just migrate to PoE 2.

The better question to ask is...DO THEY WANT TO? A 4 GA gear with perfect roll can sell well OVER $100 USD or more in real life - that's not small money by ANY MEANS. This is why i play D4 seasons as SSF. Trading makes the game too easy and shortens your season because you can just get OP gear so soon so drops arent exciting anymore. Now with the prevalance of hacks and dupes it makes trading a joke and i doubt blizzard can have a permanent fix for this like what happened in diablo 2.

Great video I havent noticed anything except Spiritborn of course I guess because I play solo or just with a few friends and the only trading I do if giving away stuff to people in trade chat that ask for things that I might have found while grinding. Yea Spiritborn is great and the power is awesome and I think everyone should be able to feel it, but I am actually having fun with my boulder druid. So yea dont nerf Spiritborn but some buffs to other classes would be nice, I am a retired disabled so I have lots of time and I usually grind every class cuz I have lots of time on my hands. Non of those bugs or exploits really affect you Where I find issues is the way gear is now with 750 and ancestrals Max life shouldn’t be based off the item power because it’s almost a double increase where as other stats don’t go up by that much Or ancestral aspects should at least start at the ancestral range, let say leg 5-10 and ancestral wd always be 11-15 (giving you at least a better chance) Why not re use some of the campaign n dlc campaign bosses as material drops ?

In terms of content, this season has been the best but I think I’m done now till season 7 which sucks. As someone who isn’t playing Spiritborn, It’s impossible to feel competitive. I applaud the people abusing the system for revealing to others and Blizzard how these exploits work. The fact that Blizzard has not hot fixed these issues away means it is desired, or at least acceptable, behavior. You applaud Rob for spending 100 hours using one set of exploits, and are upset about the new people that use better exploits. You cheer for the exploits you use, and are upset about the exploits other use that are better. Since the exploiters are revealing how these exploits are done, Blizzard is giving their full throated support to using these exploits as a standard acceptable action.

These game mechanics have been acknowledged to be unintended bugs, and they multiply damage by about 1 million. I would say a game mechanic, or a set of game mechanics, that multiply damage by a million, is a substantial instance of exploiting unintended game mechanic bugs.

You had to run a 3rd party program to even place top 100 and they never did anything about it. I believe it’s gonna be an eternal plague on the franchise, not just d4

The root problem is poor management, i.e., management that lets merchandizing decisions drive game design and development without any restraint. What do I mean by that? There is no apparent coordination of design teams. They need coordination because they have 3 separate design teams working at the same time. Often they work at cross-purposes. For example equipment has been redesigned three times, by the season 4 team, season 5 team, and the expansion team. Then there is the problem of coordinating equipment changes, aspect changes, and skill changes, as well as general systems changes such as the combat system. To save money to shorten time before launch there is no apparent alpha testing and closed beta testing is extremely limited. Open beta testing is ineffective because the content tested is limited, so there is for practical purposes no load testing. Finally there is a basic IT problem. The game is an absolute resource hog on PC. It loads almost 8 GB into RAM! My guess is that their first solution to server load problems is to increase local RAM storage. Not ever fixing the design flaws that cause the load problems. Like the new "VFX" skins. It is completely a merchandizing decision. It does nothing positive for playability, but it adds to the graphics load. Why the change? Merchandizing. Blizzard sells them as "prestige" items for higher prices than non "VFX" skins. 8 GBs of memory!

In my opinion Spiritborn should not be nerfed all the other classes should be buffed up to par with the Spiritborn, This is a fantasy demon slaying ARPG and these styles of games need that feel of power aka the bar should be set with the power of the Spiritborn.... Every class should feel power equal to the Spiritborn.

I don’t agree with you about Blizzard not intending SB to be this OP. They already admitted that it will be OP months ago. Dave Piepoira personally used the phrase “way OP” on a campfire chat. So yeah, they did it on purpose. SB being OP hides the fact that it is a boring and childish class with colorful animals and whatnot. 90% of SB players wouldn’t play SB if it was as powerful as Necro.

The Devs just don't get it, they would make the game a 1000% better by simply giving a way to for each class to achieve what SpiritBorn has this season...if they want to turn away the consumer keep taking away what people like! and that's to do the most DPS. nothing kills the mood faster than being stuck on content or hitting a wall in DPS where the consumer is left wanting. if I were the Devs I would change alot.

Nerfing the Spiritborn is not the solution. The other 5 classes should be buffed and should be on the same power level with the Spiritborn so that other players will play the other classes.

I definitely agree with you that it just feels bad as a player to have a build that you've spent many hours grinding towards get nerfed into the ground mid-season. The Devs just can't seem to figure out how to do balancing BEFORE releasing new content. It's funny to see Rob mentioned as some sort of example for the community. He had no problem with doing glitch runs in season 1. I actually quit season 1 after realizing that the only way to do the glitched malignant heart runs that Rob and his community were spamming was to make a new character because I'd already completed the seasonal content during my speed run to 100. I've completely given up on D4 at this point because every fresh release feels like a beta test and that shouldn't be the case when paying for a AAA game/DLC.

What if, (For the better good of D4 community), Blizzard Server to be under maintenance for ~2 days. Scan all our game save data. Flag all the duplicate/hacked items with a huge red label (❌) similar to those tiny x in post-season “Legacy” items. So all become non-tradable/unusable. 1st warning, 2nd soft ban for 2 days, then 2 weeks, then permanent ban. Even though some of those ppls spent real money in D4 shop, it won’t justify the major quit of D4 players. After such maintenance, all items in trade window or just dropped on ground while in group should be parsed. Brand the same label and render such trading transaction unsuccessful while the buyers can see such big red ❌& avoid the loss of buyer’s hard earning gold.

Best thing to do is not pay attention to what everyone else is doing and saying and just play the game. Start your own build and tweak it if you need more damage etc. I'm having fun, wasn't paying attention until now what people were saying. Still doesn't matter lol. In my honest opinion I think it's good blizzard listen to community feedback and did changes but now it's going to be a never ending cycle of change then complain about something else. So it's never going to be good enough now.

The seasonal servers are just Garbage when it comes to wanting to buy-sell items no one talks in trade or even responds back to you when you ask about an item. Also a week ago the gold sellers and spamming that was going on you could not even talk in trade there was that much spam, settled down a lot now. I will never make a seasonal character again. No one wants to help with issues or anything. Actually I would not have even made a seasonal toon had I known they made the seasons last 3 months. Should be allowed to end your seasonal toon and make it eternal when you have had enough with the seasonal crap.

It will feel bad to be brought down to only doing 10,000x the damage of batbs and druids if they nerd spiritborn. I have very good gear and do 150M with thorns barb. So even if they nerf them by 1/1000 yhey will literally still be miles ahead lol. Even though we have much more things to do in this season it has been least interesting season for me and the main reason is Spiritborn. Whenever i play season i like to play 2-3 different classes and 2 different build on each classes. Now within some weeks i have spiritborn which does everything on 250 paragon lvl and its just boring already i wanna tty another class and i know its gonna be not only waste of time to make another class but also it takes so much time to lvl it up that its just getting boring so i think this is gonna be my shortest season just because of spiritborn being main focus of the season.

I am actually thankful to Blizzard for making this game so unbalanced, bugged and full of exploits. If the game was in a top notch state, I would've spent hundreds and thousands of precious hours in this game.
