D4 has improved there's no doubt, but the game is still missing so many QoL features that have been available in other games. Armoury, overlay map, offline/SSF mode, communities/group finder and small stash. How can you create a fully open world, punish people for playing in a group while also not having a group/game finder?

For the Weapon Slot issue, why can't everyone get the Barbarian treatment and get more weapons slots. Sorcerer could have Staff, Wand, and Off Hand and then select what ability they use with which weapon, just like the Barb. Everyone would get 3 (2h, 1h, OH) and Barb would get 4.

as someone who plays solo. pit runs hasnt really been a problem for me. i wont lie though. ill feel slightly annoyed if they do something about group play once again while having left the bossing as it is. you say doing group pit runs loses you 50%, but doing bosses solo youre doing it at 25% efficiency. id argue the boss situation is worse, it just affects different people.

We need bosses that can only be beaten by 4 players, likely through some mechanic, like each player having to run their own tunnel towards a common boss, and no players being able to advance until everyone is finished, kind of like they did in season of the construct, but without the ability to be more than 1 player in each part. OR, it could be that each player had to stand on some platform around a boss, and if they stepped out of it, some heavy mechanic would happen. There are tons of things one could to to make group play fun, in spite of the absolutely horrible class balance they have going.

I normally play solo, though I like the idea of asking "this person is opening a rift. Do you want to contribute the entry cost? If so, you get full rewards, if not, you can still join the pit, but get 50% loot". Have a ux person think about how to make it nice, if someone says yes but doesn't have the mats, have yes disabled or show them how much they have vs the cost or both. Solves all of the problems (apart from splits and corridors)

An issue with the profane mindcage stacking multiple times would be, that everyone else at lower or no mindcages activated could easily blast through the easier scaled mobs/bosses (for them). Not saying it's impossible or even slow to kill mobs at level 200, but this would be a way to just sit on top of the event with a rather tanky build and just leech of others killing the mobs. I do however agree that they should bring back the mindcage in general and a way to increase difficulty/rewards in helltide is also good!

What bothers me the most is that we're ignoring so many lessons we've already learned in D3. As you said, Bane of the Stricken, GR keys and in my opinion this also applies to Season Themes, at the very end of D3 we finally got the hang of fun seasons. Why do we need to re-learn everything? If they were at least trying out fresh ideas that go beyond anything we've seen in D3, then I wouldn't even complain, even if they don't work out, but we don't. It's very bland and at most we're copying D3 systems but gutting them, such as with the S5 theme, which is just a worse version of Echoing Nightmares from D3.

There are several reasons for that, a new team wants to make "their" Diablo, not release all the goodies at once, and so on. We finally got a pet again, it should been there from the start. Cow level and Goblin kings and perhaps rifts will be in the game in the future too.

I’d love to group for pits if playing with other people didn’t suck so much. Too many skills with other classes clash. I won’t run with frozen orb sorcs at all. And will typically only boss with a ww barb if the boss can be taken down first phase. All the post death bomb mechanics make it incredibly difficult to run with others. Someone is inevitably faster, but following behind by a screen, often leaves someone constantly running into rooms full of nothing but explosions. CC effects like steel grasp won’t work if an enemy is frozen, whelp there goes stacking mobs on one tile and stunning them. There’s just too many risks to playing with people that I simply won’t do it for any pits.

The pit group punishment was to get more people to play solo, because if they can get you to play alone then they get you to want to play more regularly, because most players prefer groups and dont play much without but this strategy they got more people to play solo if they dont have group

It's more than a 50% penalty because group mates can't get stingy stones either. Huge fail to do this in a multiplayer game. Also, no thanks to Rykers idea. I'd rather have the mindcage. Its one slot. I want to use it when I want to use it, not run around hoping to find some shrine that may not exist.

The only help with the pit multiplayer was the final boss wouldn't target a single player. Still have to dodge everything but that's it. I'm on series S which feels a lot harder to dodge than on a good pc. In fact a coplayer usually called it out on mic on certain bosses because I would see the animation after it hit.

I havent beat uber lilith solo, even tho I can destroy both hp bars easily. I cant see some of the animations until one tenth of a second before it hits. Just beat a 3 player uber lilith my dmg, with someone calling out where to go because I had the lag.

I played sorc all season and had so much fun. Swapped to immortal firebolt build and it's the best build I've ever seen. Played orb, blizz and incinerate before that aswell and killed all the uber bosses with them. Firebolt was by far the best tho generator builds are just super super strong rn

They keep low stack amounts since they cant figure out how to stop us from loading everyones inventory when near them. lower stack rates mean people might keep less on them for others to load. this is the issue they need to fix

3rd enchantment slot will do shit in this systems current state because enchantments require skill point investments and therefore can have negative impact on your build. Skill points are limited so itll be too hard to build around a 3rd enchant without bricking your build.

If they do group play bonuses on pit runs, then make tormented bosses cost 1/4 of the stygian stones and mats. Also add a lfg system for tormented bosses. I play both but sometimes I just can’t do group play for a variety of reasons so I don’t think solo should continue to be way less efficient. I don’t won’t perfect, I just somewhat equal.

PoE devs tried to make it balanced playing group play or solo. LE gave us the circle of fortune that rewards you for not playing trade, and it's great for ssf players. D4 doesn't come close to anything like this.

Some players were part of the level 25 beta test and that had the third sorc slot.. But people cried that at 25 the hydras were to OP so they took it out. AND yes... I dont get how people who play D4 are so stupid.... everyone puts in the mats to open the PIT or Duriel... if you put in you get the reward if not... you get no reward. Does not take a rocket scientist. But people are stupid and so the Devs are stupid also.

Had an amazing kit on s4 frozen orb (several BIS items). And I struggled to get pit 101 consistently under 2.5minites. But my barb that is basically just coming online is able to do 101 in 75 seconds on good layouts or 2 minutes on bad ones. lol.

Pit needs to give all players same reward. The penalty of getting less mats just for joining someone else is incredibly dumb imo. As a console player i run 2 accounts with 2 controllers. I used bash barb to 2 min clear mobs then switched to my flay barb to melt the boss. If I didn't do it that way I don't think I ever would have mw12 3 chars

deine logik mit du bezahlst eintritt du bekommst loot wird fragwürdig bei bossruns. es sollte jeder in der gruppe abgefragt werden der reihe nach, dazu müsste man teile :4 splitten können, aber das stell ich mir auch schräg vor, der 4te würde abspringen wenn er dran wäre....die frage ist ja wozu teile zum boss spawnen? es macht einfach überheupt kein sinn. ok die schwereren bosse zu spawnen könnt was kosten am shrine ansonsten wird bei betreten halt einfahc der normale gespawnt. dazu müsste man die shrine nur vor die eingangswall setzen. du setzt ein überboss stufe 2 spawnt du setzt nix ein normaler kommt. oder machste verschiedene sigil wie eisbestie. persönlich hab ich sehr schnell lust verloren als ich sah das ich 12 herzen zum 1xspawnen brauch, und am baum is luck in welchem paket von dne 3n zur auswahl n herz drinne ist und gleichfalls ist beim mutantentyp alles auf herz gestellt, du kannst nicht mit knochen oder so, die herzen ergänzen. das ist alles borderline mit absicht. macht einfach kein sinn. die haben es schon geschafft das wir über idiotien nachdenken und die lösung der idiotie als lösung betrachten, nicht die idiotien abzuschaffen wie es erfordert. warum müssen wir bosse in reihenfolge farmen, es macht einfach keinen sinn. es kommen ja noch 2 addons und ich sage knall hart, vor jedem addon was sie verkaufen wollen, werden wir grössere änderungen sehen - alles zwischendurch wird weiterhin 3 fehler raus ,dabei gleichzeitig 3 fehler neu rein patchen. we call it season!

D4 is a slot machine. time is the currency and much like the casinos, the chances of you winning good loot (if there was good loot other than 2 or 3 over tuned broken uniques) is slim to none. the game was released in beta imo, when you look at ALL the persistent problems, bugs and balance issues season after season. imagine if they put the same effort into fixing the game as they did with the expansion cinematic trailer? D4 is obv a business but the desire and/or pride that used to go into making a quality game has really given way to budgets, shareholders and bottom lines. season 5 will be the end for D4. anyone whos still playing has noticed the game is dead af rn anyway. wait until the outrage 2 days into season dive. yeah i said season DIve. the community needs to stop looking the other way for D4 devs failing miserably time after time to deliver a quality game. you wouldnt keep a car that broke down everyday. people need to stop with the "this time it will be better", or "lets hope if they fix it next patch", blah blah. its not that serious afterall, its just a game many of us used to enjoy playing in our free time. but at this point maybe its time to walk away folks.
