Being able to save our loadouts to be able to switch when needed would be a game changer

I never thought it was really needed because it would force into a degenerate game play loop where you change build for each thing you do because #Efficiency is how gamers play these days. Got world boss? Get your single target spec! Got helltide? Get your open world spec out! Got dungeon? Get your AoE spec out, BUT SWAP TO BOSS SPEC AT THE END! You get the idea. Not doing it will feel like you're playing the game wrong. However, swapping paragon points is giga annoying, I'd be open to moving toward a build for those that are limited in some way.

Crusader, paladin, shaman(as a witch doctor) were already seen in Diablo games. So, the only archetype that had not appeared as playable class is the priest of light (INT or WILL based, staff wearing, mostly Radiant damage type)

One category of QoL update to consider: aspects. Need to introduce the search function. Need a separate panel showing what aspects are active on a character, so that we don't hover over all the equipped items each time. And, the real "elephant in the room" - we need the skills description to actually show that a skill is indeed modified by an aspect, that is to show the behavior change and DPS change.

I’ve been playing this game since it came out. I’ve constantly read endless hate all over for this game, and I just don’t understand it. I am enjoying the game, I haven’t come across anything that makes me hate the game like so many others. I admit: I’ve never played any of the previous installments, so maybe that contributes to my naïveté, but still. I greatly enjoy this game.

You've played PoE? But yeah the fact that you got into the franchise from the fourth will affect your POV of the game. I started off in D2 patch 1.11 and I cant play D4 for more than 5 minutes

The thing is... d4 is so much more worse than PoE its just insulting. And then you get to see blizzard publish material of senior devs playing the game and talking about it, where they are just figuring out how to use spender and generators, making you understand why. Look, they are announcing at blizzcon adding filter to stashes. Its not a difficult feature to add. If they played their own game, they'd know how essential it is, or if they ever played the game of their main competitor. It should be added way earlier. But they just now figured it out. These tiny things lead me to believe the people designing the game do not play games like these. How are they supposed to deliver a decent product? Am I supposed to wait while they slowly figure out the basics? Meanwhile the game is so hyped. Im divided, a part of my brain that got hyped, and wants to play it, the other one, the more reasonable one, understands that i will keep dying over and over to silly game mechanics like perma frost, wasting time managing my stash, or running in circles in dungeons searching for that last mob or shrine. For crying out loud, they have this knowledge already. In d3 you have to slay monsters until you fill a bar, you dont have to clear all of em. But this knowledge got lost in d4..? In short, the game has been designed by people who do not play games like these, and it shows. Hope this helps you to understand a bit of the hate.

@adam the hate comes from people that have played the genre before and have a lot to compare it to. It's like if you tried a food for the first time and thought it tasted good, even though it was cheap fast food you might still say you like it. But if you tried actual restaurant/ home cooked food from professionals, you might react like Gordon Ramsey. Enjoy it while you can because if you try other arpgs you'll understand.

The enchantment preview screen is the definition of all that is wrong with diablo 4... - it was in D3 - it was not a feature anyone disliked, in fact it was necessary to check what you actually CAN roll and estimate the chances - and for the love of all that is holy as a programmer myself IT IS EASY AF TO IMPLEMENT!

I'm willing to bet the new Paladin class will be called Zealot this time. With paths to go either dual-wield like a monk or sword and board. And either a dedicated holy caster path or a two-hander path, which of those two largely depends on how much casting is already a focus for each of the martial paths.

D4 needs more gear options, theres next to no build diversity among the classes. The legendary aspect system and uniques are too tame/generic.

its not boss drop, its dungeon ending rewards and they can in fact be sacred. Also all the yellow and blue loot is ancestral in WT4 , only sacred legendaries drop sometimes

D2 didn't really get great until at least LoD or maybe even patch 1.10 (post-expansion), D3 was bad until several patches into the expansion. Guess I'm holding out some hope for D4 too, it could be a legit good game mid 2025.

I'd want nothing more but given the data they had with D2, D3 and D2R, I don't know how they managed to sabotage D4. They just had to look back. So this new Diablo team either doesn't care, or is not capable of making a good diablo game. The basics aren't even there (inventory management, game balance, itemization, endgame, etc...) so I won't even mention other arpgs being way better from which they could have found some inspiration.

I remember the may small pygmie creatures with their blowpipes, they were the worst in all of Diablo 2, especially when they were across the water so you could not directly target them if you character only had melee weapons.

Still no armory, but the girl said they added more character slots so you can try different builds. Yeah I'm going to level an entirely separate character to 100 just an equip a different piece of gear on the same class. This is what happens when people who don't play games produce games.

I’ve been having a fun time with it. There’s plenty of content, the story was solid. I don’t understand how some people can act like it’s broken and unplayable. Sure, I’d buy that it isn’t quite your cup of tea and maybe you’re not a fan, but it’s far from unplayable. If you’re talking balance it even took D2 a while to level out after release.

Ill get D4 when its under 20$ Hated the beta. Its Diablo 3 v2. Every one I know told me I was crazy for canceling the pre order but none of them play it anymore. They lied to us whenever they marketed it as a “D2” predecessor. Its literally a extension of D3 no matter what anyone says.

It's called the 'Spiritborn' Think Witch Doctor with more nature based spells instead of zombies. People wishing for Paladion will have to wait a bit, Blizz aren't going to rleease that just yet, D4 is still riding fairly high and they will wait until it dies down before releasing Pally.
