I have fought bladder and kidney cancer for 17 years. I was diagnosed in 2006 and lost 1 kidney in 2007. I then went to surgery to remove the tumors and began BCG treatments for the bladder cancer. The tumors disappeared. Then a 5 year check up period and in the 5th year the tumors returned. Once again surgery and BCG treatments and another 5 year check up period. Again more tumors in the 5th year. For the 3rd time the same. But this time at the end of the 5th year I was clear. I went on living my life until the 6th year and the cancer returned with a vengeance. I went through so many surgeries I have lost count and have experienced more pain than I ever dreamed a human body could handle. This last time (4th) I lost my bladder and prostate. The pain was 10 worse than before. I am 68 years old now and suppose to be cancer free once again. The one thing I know for sure is I am done with surgeries, CT scans, MRIs, Chemo or any other kind of treatments. I have seen the amount on bladder cancer paintents quadrouple in those 17 years. It is PURE HELL!!!

thank you for sharing your story - helping people is kind. peeing red blood was one of the most shocking events to happen to me - and completely painless. and it was red wine dark - so disturbing. and then went away. get checked right away - see a urologist - they will help you.

Take care beautiful. My half brother has had bladder cancer 3 times. The first dr just said drink a lot of water.. WTF he was bleeding clots of blood. His GP did not help him even though he went straight to his GP. His GP did not take him seriously. Makes me sick

Bloody pee is NOT okay. Don't wait for it to go away. I was 47 when first diagnosed and dealt with recurrences every 2-3 years. After a 10-year remission, the cancer returned with no symptoms. I've started a year of maintenance with Mitomycin after Gemcitabine failed. I turned 65 last July. Maintenance is my life now. And I'm living it.

I had it also, After 2 years of pissing blood the docter let me go to hospital, and yjere it was, 3 cancers in my bladder, They tookit out ( TURT ) and afther that every 4 weeks bladder rinses , I live now 3 years and 4 months

What test let you know it was bladder cancer ? The CT scan or the cystoscopy ? How are you doing now ?

Mine showed up on the CT scan. It also showed on cysosopy which l has after the CT scan

bladder rinses with bv mitomycine, I had it for 2 years

@@AnnevanPaulus My dr treated me with BCG Immunothearpy for 6 weeks. He said it can be given over a couple of years as maintenance. Unfortunately there is a big shortage of it currently. Did you have any side effects with the drug you took?
